Tholey Abbey

Tholey (German pronunciation: [ˈtoːlaɪ]) is a municipality in the district of Sankt Wendel, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of Sankt Wendel, and 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of Saarbrücken.

Hasborn-Dautweiler is a part of the municipality Tholey in the district of Sankt Wendel in the northern Saarland, Germany. Until the end of 1973 Hasborn-Dautweiler was an independent municipality.

The municipality contains the urban areas Marpingen, Urexweiler, Alsweiler und Berschweiler, which have the status of Ortschaft, and Rheinstraße, which is in the administrative area of Marpingen, and Habenichts, which is in the administrative area of Urexweiler.

The Lankelz Railway in Esch-sur-Alzette, south-eastern Luxembourg, is a miniature railway on a scale of one third normal size (7+1⁄4 in (184 mm) gauge). The railway operates on Sunday afternoons and public holidays from May to mid-October.Constructed in 1997, the narrow-gauge tracks, complete with bridges, tunnels and a station, are arranged in two sections; one is 1,000 metres long, the other 350 metres. There is one steam locomotive, two diesel engines and a tram. Trips can be made by steam train or diesel train.

Oberthal is a municipality in the district of Sankt Wendel, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated approximately 7 km northwest of Sankt Wendel, and 35 km north of Saarbrücken.

Thalexweiler is a very small village in the southwest German province of Saarland. The next big city is Lebach. The main part of the village has been founded in 1235 but some parts are a little bit older. The church of the village has been first mentioned in historical documents in the 9th century. The village has approximately 2100 inhabitants which live on an area of 541 ha.

The Bostalsee is a reservoir in the municipality of Nohfelden in the northern Saarland. It was created in 1979. The dam has a length of 500 metres. The lake is almost exclusively used for recreation. The hydropower from the stored water has been used since the end of 2013 to a small extent to generate electricity, especially to light the circular walk around the lake in winter. The southwestern part of the lake has been designated as a nature reserve.

Hirzweiler is in a jumelage (partnership) with the village of Walschbronn in France. Hirzweiler is one village of Gemeinde Illingen, Saarland.

Bos is a river of Saarland, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Nahe, which it joins in Gonnesweiler.

Namborn is a municipality in the district of Sankt Wendel, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated approximately 7 km north of Sankt Wendel, and 25 km southwest of Idar-Oberstein. It is approximately 40 km northeast of Saarbrücken on highway B 41 and the Nahe Valley Railway line. The distance to the Bostalsee is about 10 km, and to the county seat St. Wendel about 7 km. The most famous landmark of the community is the ruins of Liebenburg Castle on the Schloßberg in the Eisweiler district. The administrative center is located in the Hofeld-Mauschbach district because of its convenient transport links and central location.
