Quidnick, Rhode Island

Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - designated for Polish immigrants in Coventry, Rhode Island (Former Quidnick village), United States. Founded in 1905, it is one of the Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Diocese of Providence.

The General Nathanael Greene Homestead, also known as Spell Hall, is a historic house at 50 Taft Street in Coventry, Rhode Island. It was the home of American Revolutionary War general Nathanael Greene from 1770 to 1776, and was owned afterwards by his brother Jacob Greene and his wife Margaret. The house is owned and operated by the General Nathanael Greene Homestead Association, a non-profit organization, and was opened as a museum in 1924.

The station is owned by Chris DiPaola, through licensee DiPonti Communications, LLC, and broadcasts a classic rock radio format. WWRI transmits with 1,000 watts of power. It is also heard on FM translator W288EE in West Warwick, at 105.5 MHz. It uses the FM translator’s frequency in its moniker "I-105.5."

The Crompton Mill Historic District is a historic district encompassing a mill complex at 20 Remington Street, 53 and 65 Manchester Street in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The mill complex consists of a collection of mainly brick buildings, bounded by the Pawtuxet River and Pulaski, Remington, and Manchester Streets in the village of Crompton. The mill complex formerly extended across the river, but the complex on the west bank was destroyed by fire in 1992. The oldest elements of the complex are the dam site and some of the raceways that provided water power to the mills. The present dam was built in 1908, replacing an 1882 structure. The raceways were built in 1807, around the time of the first mill buildings. The stone Mill No. 1, built 1807, is believed to be the oldest stone mill building in the state. Most of the complex's buildings were built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by the Providence Manufacturing Company and its successors. The mill was used for textile (mainly cotton) processing until 1946, when the Crompton Corporation ended production.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Centreville Mill is an historic textile mill at 3 Bridal Avenue in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The mill complex is located on a site that has been used for textile processing since 1794, only four years after Samuel Slater's successful mill operation was established in Pawtucket. The oldest surviving buildings on the east side of the Pawtuxet River date to the 1860s.The mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The Crompton Free Library is a historic library building in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The small single-story wood-frame building was constructed in 1876, with funding from local mill owners. It is an excellent local example of a small Stick style public structure.

St. Mary's Church and Cemetery is a historic Roman Catholic church building and cemetery in Crompton, a village of West Warwick, Rhode Island.

West Warwick is a town in Kent County, Rhode Island, United States. The population was 31,012 at the 2020 census.West Warwick was incorporated in 1913, making it the youngest town in the state. Prior to 1913, the town, situated on the western bank of the Pawtuxet River, was the population and industrial center of the larger town of Warwick. The town split because local Democratic politicians wanted to consolidate their power and isolate their section of town from the Republican-dominated farmland in the east.

Blackrock is a village in Kent County, Rhode Island, United States, located in the town of Coventry between the villages of Anthony and Arkwright. The area was named after a large dark rock which was rumored to be the site of Native American marriage ceremonies. The rock is located on Blackrock Road. The village of 40 people was founded in 1814 when William Greene first sold a parcel of his land to the Black Rock Cotton Manufacturing Company for the initial construction of a dam on the Black Rock Brook which flows from Black Rock Pond. The dam provided power for a mill. Nicholas Potter bought the mill in 1824 and converted it into a machine shop and later a broom factory. Samuel Greene was a prominent teacher in the area. With expansion, the village of Blackrock is now largely a continuation of the village of Anthony. There is an elementary school named after the Black Rock.

The William B. Spencer House is a historic house at 11 Fairview Avenue in the Phenix village of West Warwick, Rhode Island. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built in 1869–70, and is an elaborate and well-preserved instance of Late Victorian Italianate style. The house has an L shape, with forward projecting gable section on the left, in front of a rectangular main block. A single-story porch with slender columns and decorative woodwork valances extends across the front to the right of the projecting section. The windows on the projecting section are three-part rounded windows, each with distinctive and elaborate hoods. The building corners are quoined, and the roofline features dentil moulding and paired brackets. A series of smaller ells project to the right of the main block, and there is a small single-story addition to the rear. The main block is topped by an octagonal cupola with round-arch windows. The building's owner, William B. Spencer, was a local entrepreneur who made his fortune by dealing in the waste materials generated by the local cotton mills.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
