Aitken College is an independent, co-education day school located in Greenvale, Victoria, Australia. Greenvale Reservoir is an off-stream water storage dam in northern Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It has a capacity of 27,000 ML (950 million cu ft). The dam was opened 18 April 1973 and is now managed by Melbourne Water.It is situated in the upper Yuroke Creek catchment, the major tributary of the Moonee Ponds Creek. It is in the north of the suburb of Greenvale and to the west of Roxburgh Park. The Greenvale Reservoir Park contains picnic tables, a playground and barbecues, and is managed by Parks Victoria. It lies to the south and west of the dam.

East Bourke (also known as Bourke East from around 1891) was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria from 1856 until being abolished by the post-Federation Electoral Districts Boundaries Act 1903 coming into effect in 1904. The district of East Bourke was one of the initial districts of the first Victorian Legislative Assembly, 1856.

The County of Bourke is one of the 37 counties of Victoria which are part of the Lands administrative divisions of Australia, (used for land titles and no longer other administrative or political function). It is the oldest and most populous county in Victoria and contains the city of Melbourne. Like other counties in Victoria, it is subdivided into parishes. The county was named after Irish born Sir Richard Bourke, the Governor of New South Wales between 1831 and 1837. An earthquake struck approximately 28 kilometres NNW of Melbourne CBD, near the suburb of Sunbury in Victoria, Australia on 28 May 2023, at 23:41 local time (AEST). The earthquake measured 4.0 on the moment magnitude scale. It caused minor structural damage in parts of Melbourne and was felt as far as Tasmania and the Victoria-New South Wales border. Although the earthquake was weaker than the magnitude 5.9 Mansfield earthquake in 2021, this earthquake occurred within metropolitan Melbourne, so it was felt at a similar strength there, albeit for a lesser amount of time.
