Minnie Island State Park

St. Thomas More School is a college-preparatory school in Oakdale, Connecticut, United States. The school serves grades 8–12 and postgraduate courses. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.

Gardner Lake is a natural lake lying at the junction of the towns of Salem, Montville and Bozrah in Connecticut, USA. Named after the Gardner family who owned a large portion of the surrounding land, the 529-acre (214 ha) lake has been expanded in size with the construction of a 168-foot (51 m) earthen dam. The dam raises the water level up 4 feet (1.2 m) to an average depth of 14 feet (4.3 m). The area surrounding Gardner Lake has dozens of private homes, four campgrounds and a marina. Three state parks are located around the lake: Minnie Island State Park, Hopemead State Park and Gardner Lake State Park.

Gardner Lake State Park is a public recreation area occupying 10 acres (4.0 ha) on the southern edge of Gardner Lake in the town of Salem, Connecticut. The state park offers opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming and is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Hopemead State Park is an undeveloped public recreation area on the eastern shore of Gardner Lake, 8 miles (13 km) west of Norwich, Connecticut. The state park covers 60 acres (24 ha) in the towns of Bozrah and Montville and is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

The Abel H. Fish House is a historic house at Buckley Hill Road and Rathbun Hill Road in Salem, Connecticut. Built about 1835, it is a well-preserved example of a vernacular Greek Revival farmhouse. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 2, 1982.

Salem is a town in New London County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region. The population was 4,213 at the 2020 census.

Mooween State Park is a public recreation area covering 577 acres (234 ha) in the town of Lebanon, Connecticut. The state park offers hiking and mountain biking plus fishing and boating on 127-acre (51 ha) Red Cedar Lake.

The Salem Historic District encompasses the historic 19th-century town center of Salem, Connecticut. It extends along Connecticut Route 85 roughly from Round Hill Road to Music Vale Road, and includes the rural town's major civic and institutional buildings, as well as a number of surrounding residences. The area was developed after the town was incorporated in 1819, and was mostly built out by 1885. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Music Vale Seminary, also known as the Salem Normal Academy of Music, was a normal music conservatory for women in Salem, Connecticut. It was the first accredited music school in the United States. The school opened in 1835 and closed in 1876.

Bozrah is a town in New London County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region. The population was 2,429 at the 2020 census. Bozrah contains three villages: Fitchville, the town center; Leffingwell, a crossroads on Route 82; and Gilman, a mill village along Fitchville Road.

The Raymond-Bradford Homestead is a historic house on Raymond Hill Road in Montville, Connecticut. Built about 1710, it is notable for its history of alteration, dating into the late 19th century, its construction by a woman, Mercy Sands Raymond, in the colonial period, and its continuous ownership by a single family line. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 16, 1982.

The Dinosaur Place is a family-owned 60-acre dinosaur-themed adventure park located in Nature's Art Village in Montville, Connecticut. The park features 60 life-sized dinosaurs on 1.5 miles of trails, playgrounds, a custom-made play zone "T-Rex Tower", splash pad, a maze and several additional attractions.
