St. Ignatius Loyola Church (Denver, Colorado)

The Pearce–McAllister Cottage is a former historic house museum in the City Park West neighborhood of northeast Denver, Colorado, United States. It is administered by History Colorado (the Colorado Historical Society).The cottage was built in 1899 in the Dutch Colonial Revival style. The Denver-based architect Frederick Sterner built the house for Harold V. Pearce and his wife, Cara Rowena Bell Pearce. The second owners, the McAllisters, remodeled the interior in the 1920s and this is how the cottage is now presented. The Pearce–McAllister Cottage was home to the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys until 2018. The collection includes more than 20,000 objects from 1680 onwards. The house was listed on the US National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Thatcher Memorial Fountain a fountain located in City Park, Denver, Colorado, was created by sculptor Lorado Taft and dedicated in 1918. The fountain, dedicated to the memory of Joseph Addison Thatcher who died in 1918 consists of a central figure representing The State or Colorado surrounded by three groups, Loyalty, Love, and Learning.Joseph Addison Thatcher was a wealthy Denver businessman and banker.

Judi's House was founded by Brian Griese in honor and in memory of his mother, Judi Griese, who died from breast cancer when Brian was twelve years old. Judi Griese was the wife of former Miami Dolphins star, Bob Griese. Judi Griese died in 1988 after a six-year battle with breast cancer. In his book, Undefeated (ISBN 0-7852-7021-3), co-written with his father, Brian recalled that he felt he had nowhere to turn to with his grief. He reported that he did not want to burden his father, as he was dealing with his own grief at the time. (Bob Griese had also lost his father when he was ten years old). While playing for the Denver Broncos, Brian Griese established a house where children could meet with support groups and counselors. Griese named it Judi's House, and placed a picture of Judi over the fireplace. The house features rooms where children could create art or become physically active as they dealt with their grief. Judi's House is located in Denver, Colorado, and more than 6,000 children and their adult caregivers from the metro area have participated since it opened in 2002.

The statue of Robert Burns (also known as the Robert Burns Memorial) in Denver, Colorado, is a work of public art by the Scottish artist William Grant Stevenson, RSA. The Robert Burns Memorial in Denver consists of a bronze statue of the Scottish poet Robert Burns standing on a granite pedestal. The memorial was donated to the City of Denver by the Caledonia Club, No 1, of Colorado and was unveiled on July 4, 1904. The Robert Burns Memorial was the first public memorial to be erected in the City of Denver.

A statue of Martin Luther King Jr. by Ed Dwight is installed in Denver's City Park, in the U.S. state of Colorado. The memorial was installed in 2002, replacing another statue of King which was relocated to Pueblo. The Denver statue also features depictions of Frederick Douglass, Mahatma Gandhi, Rosa Parks, and Sojourner Truth.

City Park West is a neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. It is a district of mostly single-family homes, small apartment buildings, and one very large hospital complex. The center of the district features the medical facilities of Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital, Exempla St. Joseph's Hospital, and a number of other medical office buildings and related facilities. Exempla Saint Joseph's Hospital has embarked on a major expansion project ($623 million) to create the newest, most modern hospital in Colorado. The new facility opened in December 2014. Like many of Denver's Center City districts, City Park West is experiencing a number of smaller, multi-family infill projects on vacant or underutilized lots in among the mature landscape and classic early-20th century homes for which the district is known. Also, the stretch of East Colfax along City Park West's southern boundary is showing evidence of new vitality and investment with great potential for additional infill projects along that important commercial corridor.

Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center is a hospital in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver. In speech and in writing, the hospital is referred to informally by its initials: P/SL.

Whittier is a neighborhood of Denver, Colorado, located approximately two miles northeast of downtown Denver. The boundaries of the neighborhood are 23rd Avenue to the south, Martin Luther King Boulevard (32nd) to the north, Downing St. to the west and York St. to the east. The neighborhood is mostly residential and old (1890s) by standards of the cities of the American West. Most of the housing stock was built prior to the 1940s.The neighborhood is named for an elementary school located at 25th Avenue and Downing St. which was named after John Greenleaf Whittier (1807-1892), an abolitionist poet and a founding member of the American Republican political party. Given the philosophy of Whittier, the neighborhood was ethnically integrated from its inception. Today, the Whittier neighborhood is ethnically diverse with Blacks, Hispanics, and Whites composing the population. A combination of proximity to downtown, parks and a public golf course in addition to a housing stock of early twentieth century homes of craftsman architecture at reasonable prices is driving an influx of young professionals and their families to the Whittier neighborhood.

Denver Zoo is an 80-acre (32 ha) nonprofit zoological garden located in City Park of Denver, Colorado, United States. Founded in 1896, it is operated by the Denver Zoological Foundation and funded in part by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) in addition to ticket sales and private donations. It is the most visited paid attraction in Colorado.Denver Zoo was started with the donation of an orphaned American black bear. With the construction of Bear Mountain, it became the first zoo in the United States to use naturalistic zoo enclosures rather than cages with bars. It expanded on this concept with Primate Panorama, featuring huge mesh tents and open areas for apes and monkeys, and with Predator Ridge, which has three separate areas through which animals are rotated so that their overlapping scents provide environmental enrichment. Toyota Elephant Passage, which opened on June 1, 2012, is divided into five areas for rotating the various species. Denver Zoo is accredited by the (American) Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and American Humane and is also a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). The zoo achieved ISO 14001 certification in 2009, was given the first AZA Green Award in 2011, and was named the "Greenest Zoo in the Country" at the World Renewable Energy Forum in 2012. In 2015, it was re-certified for ISO 14001 and achieved OHSAS 18001 certification, becoming only the fourth zoo in the world to get both certifications.

City Park Golf is a historic 18-hole regulation golf course located north of Denver's City Park. The area is bounded by E. Twenty-sixth Ave., Colorado Blvd., E. Twenty-third Ave., and York St. It is included as one in a multiple listing of parts of Denver Park and Parkway System. The listing includes four contributing buildings, two contributing structures, and a contributing site.In November 2018, construction started on a redesign of the golf course that was necessary to help reduce the risk of flooding in the surrounding neighborhoods during heavy rains. The course is scheduled to reopen in 2019.

City Park is an urban park and neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. The park is 330 acres (1.3 km2) and is located in east-central Denver. The park contains the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Ferril and Duck Lakes, and a boathouse. City Park is also the name of the neighborhood that contains the park, though the park is the vast majority of the neighborhood. To the immediate north of the park is the City Park Golf Course. City Park is the largest park in Denver.
