Playa de Getares is a beach in the municipality of Algeciras, southeastern Spain. It overlooks the Bay of Gibraltar about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south of the city of Algeciras, between Punta San García and Punta Carnero, where the cliffs begin on the Strait of Gibraltar. It is approximately 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) in length and 40 metres (130 ft) wide on average. The name comes from a Roman fish salting factory which was located in the old Roman town in the vicinity of Caetaria, and was called Cetares, and then Xetares during the Middle Ages, named in the chronicles of Alfonso XI. The whole beach is surrounded by terraced housing developments and has a promenade with bars and restaurants.

Torre del Arroyo del Lobo is a ruined medieval defensive tower near Algeciras, Spain. It is located in the cove of Getares, and monitored the stretch of coast from Punta Carnero to Punta de San García between the cities of Algeciras and Tarifa as part of the defensive system of the Strait of Gibraltar in the Middle Ages. The tower is situated as 76.3 meters above sea level and 935 meters from the coast. Río Pícaro flows nearby. The building is rectangular with about 8 feet at maximum length. It must have reached 13 meters high, but today, in its ruined state, does not exceed six meters. Two floors and the basement are accessible through stairs. It became protected in 1985 as a Bien de Interés Cultural site.

Playa de El Chinarral is a beach in the municipality of Algeciras, southeastern Spain. It overlooks the Bay of Algeciras and the tip of the rock of Gibraltar. It is approximately 250 metres in length and 40 metres wide on average. It is located between Punta de San Garcia and El Rodeo, south of the city.The beach has fine sand and calm waters sheltered by a small cove. The bottom of the water is largely rocky reefs, very dangerous for navigation. It continues north to an area of cliffs and the basin of the Port of Algeciras. The area is rarely visited due to its small size and difficult access, surrounded by private houses.

The Parque del Centenario (Centennial Park) is a park located in Algeciras. It was established in 2007 thanks to the collaboration between the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras and City Hall to mark the hundredth anniversary of the Algeciras Conference. The park covers more than 100,000 m2, and lies on the ruins of the old Fuerte de San García, destroyed around 1811 by the British troops on the occasion of the independence war between Spain and France. Surrounding the park are several developments of villas and two beaches, San Garcia and the Chinarral.

Fuerte de San García was a fort in Algeciras, Spain, It was built in the 1730s and destroyed in 1811 to deny it to the French. Today all that remains are the foundation and base ruins, in the Parque del Centenario, but it is a registered Bien de Interés Cultural landmark The Spanish fortifications around Gibraltar were destroyed in 1810 to deny their use by Napoleon's forces. the fortifications around the bay were removed by Portuguese sailors and this was only shortly before the French cavalry arrived in nearby San Roque. The main Spanish lines were destroyed by Colonel Sir Charles Holloway on 14 February 1810. Following the main explosion other towers were destroyed and volunteers took away the rubble.

Hotel Reina Cristina is an historic hotel in Algeciras, Spain. It was opened in 1901. It is representative of the British colonial architecture imported into the city in the early twentieth century from the nearby British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar.

Polígono Industrial Cortijo Real is an industrial estate in the southwestern suburbs of Algeciras, southeastern Spain. Nico Reparaciones Navales SA, Mediterráneo SA, Recomar SA, Lozano, Ivesur, MD Nautica SL, Talleres Barberans, Sofrial, Autransa, Algesonitc, and Sea Land Traders International all have warehouses here. Several of the firms based in Polígono manufacture containers for shipment to the nearby Port of Algeciras, such as Mediterráneo SA, also known as Comesa (Containers del Mediterraneo) and are generally mechanical firms.

Municipal Museum of Algeciras (Museo Municipal de Algeciras) is a museum in Algeciras, Spain, located at the northern end of the Parque de las Acacias de Algeciras. It was established in 1995 and is run by the city's cultural department. It houses a large collection of archaeological items which were found in different parts of the city. With its two main divisions, archaeology and history, the museum documents three periods in the city's history: Roman-Byzantine Algeciras, the Andalusian city, and the modern era. A third division, religious art, is located in the Capilla del Cristo de la Alameda.

Parque de las Acacias de Algeciras is a park in Algeciras, southeastern Spain. Established in 1975, it covers an area of 19,300 square metres (208,000 sq ft). The Museo municipal de Algeciras lies to the north and Villa Smith lies in the southern part of the park. The historic Hotel Reina Cristina overlooks the park on its western side.

The Roman fish salting factory (Spanish: Factoría romana de salazones) was a salting factory established on the seafront of Algeciras, southeastern Spain by the Romans. It belonged to the fishing village of San Nicolás, part of what was called Caetaria. A site of archaeological and historical interest, it was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural site on 27 June 2002.

Algeciras railway station is the southernmost rail station on the Spanish rail network and on the European mainland, and serves the town of Algeciras, Andalusia.

Parque de la Conferencia is a park in Algeciras, southeastern Spain. Established in 2007 to mark the centenary of the Algeciras Conference. It covers an area of 9,011 square metres (96,990 sq ft) and is divided into several zones.
