Rigi Kaltbad

Rigi Staffel railway station is a railway station at 1,604 m (5,262 ft) on Rigi at the junction of the rack railways Arth–Rigi railway and Vitznau–Rigi railway, just below the terminus Rigi Kulm. It is located in the municipality of Arth, canton of Schwyz, Switzerland.

The Rigi Kulm Hotel is located immediately below the 1,798 metres (5,899 ft) summit of Mount Rigi in the Alps in the canton of Schwyz, Switzerland, about ten miles south of Zurich and eight miles east of Lucerne. Opened in 1816, it can only be reached on foot or via the Vitznau–Rigi or Arth–Rigi railways. It is said that 125 named peaks and thirteen lakes are visible from the hotel.

The Rigi (or Mount Rigi; also known as Queen of the Mountains) is a mountain massif of the Alps, located in Central Switzerland. The whole massif is almost entirely surrounded by the water of three different bodies of water: Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug and Lake Lauerz. The range is in the Schwyzer Alps, and is split between the cantons of Schwyz and Lucerne, although the main summit, named Rigi Kulm, at 1,798 meters above sea level, lies within the canton of Schwyz. The Rigi Kulm Hotel, established in 1816, is located on the summit.The Rigi Kulm and other areas, such as the resort of Rigi Kaltbad, are served by Europe's oldest mountain railways, the Rigi Railways. The whole area offers many activities such as skiing or sledging in the winter, and hiking in the summer.

Vitznau is a municipality in the district of Lucerne in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland.

Greppen is a municipality in the district of Lucerne in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. It lies at the base of huge Mount Rigi. The exclave is separated by Lake Lucerne from the rest of the district.

Weggis is a municipality in the district of Lucerne in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. It forms part of the northern shore of Lake Lucerne. The official language is German.

Weggis landing stage is a ferry port in the municipality of Weggis, in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. It is located on a projection of the Rigi mountain that protrudes into the northern part of Lake Lucerne. It is served by the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company.

The Dosse (Germanized: Dossen, 1,684 m (5,525 ft)) is a mountain of the Rigi massif, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Lucerne and Schwyz. The mountain overlooks Lake Lucerne, near Vitznau. It is the highest point of the massif in the canton of Lucerne. The slightly lower peak only 200m northwest of it is called Chli Dosse (1,669 m (5,476 ft)).

Bachelor students are based at the Le Bouveret campus in French-speaking Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva. Master's students, as well as the Chocolate and Pastry Specialisation students, are based at the city campus of Lucerne, in German-speaking Switzerland. Rigi Railways (German: Rigi Bahnen) is a railway company that operates a group of railways on the mountain Rigi, located between two of the arms of Lake Lucerne, in Switzerland. They include two standard gauge rack railways, the Vitznau–Rigi Bahn (VRB) and the Arth–Rigi Bahn (ARB), along with the Luftseilbahn Weggis–Rigi Kaltbad (LWRK) cable car. Reaching a height of 1,752 metres (5,748 ft) above sea level, the Rigi Railways are the highest standard gauge railway in Europe. They are also the highest railway in both cantons of Lucerne and Schwyz. The Vitznau–Rigi Bahn is also notable as the first mountain rack railway in Europe, and even the second in the world, after the Mount Washington Cog Railway in the United States.

Vitznau railway station (German: Bahnhof Vitznau) is a railway station and ferry terminal in the municipality of Vitznau, in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. It is the terminus of the standard gauge Vitznau–Rigi line of Rigi Railways. The Lake Lucerne Navigation Company (SGV) operates regular ferry service to Lucerne and Flüelen, on Lake Lucerne.

Küssnacht am Rigi (official name since 2004: Küssnacht) is a village and a district and a municipality in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland. The municipality consists of three villages Küssnacht, Immensee, and Merlischachen, the hamlet Haltikon, the industrial area Fänn, and the alp Seeboden. It is situated at the north shore of Lake Lucerne and at the south shore of Lake Zug below mount Rigi (1,797 m (5,896 ft)).
