Orford is a provincial electoral district in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the municipalities of Magog, Orford, Stanstead and Sainte-Catherine-de-Hatley. It was created for the 1973 election from parts of the Shefford, Sherbrooke and Stanstead electoral districts. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it lost the part of western Sherbrooke that it formerly had to the Richmond electoral district and the municipalities of Barnston-Ouest and Stanstead-Est to the Saint-François electoral district. However, it gained a number of municipalities from Brome-Missisquoi.

Stanstead is a township municipality of about 1,100 people in the Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec. It is not to be confused with the city of Stanstead, which is nearby although not directly adjacent (the municipality of Ogden lies in between). Formally, the township consists of two villages: Fitch Bay (founded in 1855) and Georgeville (founded in the 1890s). Both villages formed as a result of English-speaking migrants from the United States state of Vermont until borderline customs stations were established after 1920. Today, the population is bilingual with predominance in French language (about 64%).

Magog (locally MAY-gawg; French: [maɡɔɡ]) is a city in southeastern Quebec, Canada, about 120 kilometres (75 mi) east of Montreal at the confluence of Lake Memphremagog—after which the city was named—with the Rivière aux Cerises and the Magog River. It is a major centre and industrial city in the Regional County Municipality of Memphremagog. The city lies in the Eastern Townships tourist region. In 2002, the City of Magog was merged with the Township of Magog and the Village of Omerville as part of the municipal reorganization in Quebec.

Le Vieux Clocher de Magog (lit. 'The Old Bell Tower of Magog') is a performance venue on Merry Street in Magog, Canada. Housed in a former church, it is a recognized cultural venue for the presentation of music, comedy, and storytelling shows.

The Cherry River or Rivière aux Cerises is a river in Magog, Quebec that is part of the Lake Memphremagog watershed. This river flows through the cities Orford, then Magog, in the Memphremagog Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Estrie, in Quebec, in Canada. The river was flooded by the creation of dams in the late 19th century, creating a permanent wetland around it.

Saint-Benoît-du-Lac (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ bənwa dy lak]) is a community of 43 people, part of the Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Eastern Townships region of Quebec. It only comprises an abbey, a cheese making facility, and its immediate surrounding lands.

Saint Benedict Abbey (French: Abbaye Saint-Benoit) is an Abbey in Saint-Benoît-du-Lac, Quebec, Canada, and was founded in 1912 by the exiled (Fontenelle Abbey) of St. Wandrille, France under Abbot Dom Joseph Pothier, liturgist and scholar who reconstituted the Gregorian chant. Father Paul Bellot was the architect 1939–41. The new priory later became independent within the Solesmes Congregation. Today it numbers a little more than fifty monks living under the Rule of Saint Benedict. Cloistered from the world, they are enjoined to seek God in the celebration of the liturgy of the Church, in private prayer accompanied by meditation of the Bible and in manual as well as intellectual work. They form a community under the direction of an Abbot.

Ogden is a municipality of about 750 people in Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. It includes the hamlets of Tomifobia (formerly Smith's Mills) and Graniteville.

Sainte-Catherine-de-Hatley is a municipality in the Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Eastern Townships region of Quebec, Canada. Located along Quebec Route 108 on Little Lake Magog, it is the home of the "Marais" birdwatching sanctuary, the Eglise Sainte Catherine de Hatley, as well as the Dominique Savio primary School. The place was previously known as "Katevale". "Originally, a mission was established in 1845 under the name of Sainte-Catherine-de-Hatley and was canonically erected in 1890. Subsequently, a municipality of the same name was created in 1901".

Stanstead is a town in the Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, located on the Canada–United States border across from Derby Line, Vermont. The Town of Stanstead was created in 1995 by the merger of the former villages of Stanstead Plain and Beebe (formerly Beebe Plain) and the Town of Rock Island. It is not to be confused with the township of Stanstead, which is nearby although not directly adjacent (the municipality of Ogden lies in between). Not only is Stanstead home to the Haskell Free Library and Opera House—the only heritage building deliberately constructed straddling the border between both countries—it also features Canusa Street, one of a number of streets in the world where the country border corresponds to the middle line marker, effectively making across-the-street neighbors residents of two countries.

CIMO-FM (106.1 MHz) is a French-language radio station licensed to Magog, Quebec, and serving the Sherbrooke region of Estrie. It is owned by Bell Media and it broadcasts a mainstream rock radio format as part of the Énergie network across Quebec. CIMO-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 1,600 watts as a class B station. It uses an omnidirectional antenna and its tower is atop Mount Orford. Because of coverage deficiencies in downtown Sherbrooke, the station also operates a low-power relay station there, CIMO-FM-1 on 106.9 MHz with an effective radiated power of 22 watts, also using an omnidirectional antenna.
