Chickamauga Creek refers to two short tributaries of the Tennessee River, which join the river near Chattanooga, Tennessee. The two streams are North Chickamauga Creek and South Chickamauga Creek, joining the Tennessee from the north and south side, respectively. There is also a West Chickamauga Creek, which is a much longer tributary of the South Chickamauga Creek.

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Chattanooga is one of 47 institutions in the Tennessee Board of Regents System, the seventh largest system of higher education in the nation. The Tennessee Riverwalk is a 13-mile (21-km) riverside path which parallels the Tennessee River from the Chickamauga Dam to downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is part of the Tennessee Riverpark System featuring the Tennessee Riverpark, Coolidge Park, Renaissance Park, Ross's Landing, the Walnut Street Bridge, the Blue Goose Hollow section and the old U.S. Pipe property. The Riverwalk is a mix of paved pathways, boardwalks, and bridges along the river, through marshland, and over creeks. Restroom facilities and drinking fountains are conveniently spaced along the path. Nine brightly colored quarter-inch-thick stainless steel silhouettes mark each milestone along the Riverwalk, including a bird watcher, bluegrass musician, bicyclists, a man in a wheelchair and another strolling, a jogging father and daughter, and a family group.Currently the rules of the Tennessee Riverwalk east of the Veterans Bridge are as follows: •Pets are allowed in the park, but must be on a leash at ALL TIMES and owners must follow all applicable state laws regarding handling the pet •No swimming •No camping •No open fires •No Alcoholic Beverages •No Firearms without a permit •Roller blades and bicycles will use extreme caution and will operate at reduced speeds on trails •No loitering around parked vehicles or in parking lots

Tenbridge is a vertical-lift railroad bridge over the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It has a main span of 310 feet (94 m). The original span was a swing span with a center pivot that was originally built in ca. 1879/1880. It was replaced by a vertical lift span in 1917, but the lift towers and machinery were not installed until 1920. It remains a very busy crossing on the Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific Railway, a major subsidiary of the Norfolk Southern Railway. The bridge carries two mainline tracks across the river. The bridge is one of only three known nesting locations in Tennessee for peregrine falcons, a Tennessee endangered species.

WMPZ airs an urban adult contemporary music format branded as "G93", and is owned by Brewer Media. Its studios are located just south of downtown Chattanooga, and its transmitter is located in Red Bank. WMPZ's previous formats included Urban Oldies, Gospel, & Smooth Jazz. On January 4, 2022, the station rebranded as "G93" and replaced the syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show, which it had carried for more than a decade, with The Rickey Smiley Morning Show.

Red Bank is a city in Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 11,651 at the 2010 census and an estimated 11,840 in 2019. Red Bank is an enclave, being entirely surrounded by the city limits of Chattanooga. Red Bank is part of the Chattanooga, TN-GA, Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Northgate Mall, also called Northgate, is an enclosed shopping mall in the Chattanooga, Tennessee suburb of Hixson. Opened on March 15, 1972, it was the second mall built in Chattanooga. Anchor stores are AMC Theatres, Belk, Burlington, and Old Navy.

The Chickamauga Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. The dam is owned and operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority, which built the dam in the late 1930s as part of a New Deal era initiative to improve navigation and bring flood control and economic development to the Tennessee Valley. The dam impounds the 36,240-acre (14,670 ha) Chickamauga Lake and feeds into Nickajack Lake. The dam and associated infrastructure were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. Chickamauga Dam is named for the Chickamaugas, a politically detached branch of the Cherokee whose chief village was located just north of the dam site during the 18th century. The tribe's name has also been applied to several streams in the Chattanooga area, as well as an important American Civil War battle and a sandbar that existed at the dam site prior to its construction.

Chickamauga Lake is a reservoir in the United States along the Tennessee River created when the Chickamauga Dam, as part of the Tennessee Valley Authority, was completed in 1940. The lake stretches from Watts Bar Dam at mile 529.9 (853 km) to Chickamauga Dam at mile 471.0 (758 km) making the lake 58.9 miles (94.8 km) long. It borders Rhea County, Meigs County, and Hamilton County with 810 miles (1,303 km) of shoreline and two bridges crossing it at State Highway 60 and Highway 30. The lake is commonly used for recreational and outdoor activities, especially at the southern end, due to the high population density surrounding it. It was named after the Chickamauga Cherokee who used to live in the area. The Hiwassee River empties into Chickamauga Lake at Hiwassee Island, just north of the Highway 60 bridge at mile 500 (804.5 km). Chickamauga Lake is immediately downstream from Watts Bar Lake and immediately upstream from Nickajack Lake. Full pool for Chickamauga Lake is 682 feet (208 m) above sea level; the current lake level can be checked here. The normal operating zone is between 675 ft (206 m) and 677 ft (206 m) through the end of March, rising steadily to a summer range of 681.5 to 682.5 ft (207.7 to 208.0 m) by the middle of May. Then, full pool is maintained through the end of August, at which time the level drops steadily back down to 676 ft (206 m) by the end of November. Actual lake levels vary due to weather conditions and power needs. The lake is a popular venue for fishing and a variety of gamefish can be caught there including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and catfish. As a result, the venue hosts popular fishing tournaments.
