Marshalls Creek is an unincorporated community in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located on Business U.S. Route 209 at the southern terminus of Route 402 in Smithfield Township. It is named after the creek that flows southward through it into the Delaware River. Business 209 joins the 209 bypass just east of the village. A roundabout is located just south of the village where the Bypass and Seven Bridges Road meet. Although the village has its own box post office with the zip code of 18335, some residents are served by the East Stroudsburg PO with the zip code of 18301 or 18302. [1]

Mountain Lake House (MLH) was a former resort situated in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, at the junction of U.S. Route 209 and Pennsylvania Route 402 in Marshalls Creek, Pennsylvania. The location is situated approximately five miles (8.0 km) northeast of Stroudsburg. An Environmental Impact Study conducted in 1999 assessed the potential impact of a proposed road and described the Mountain Lake House as an estate spanning about 80.8 acres (32.7 ha), including approximately 18 outbuildings such as a musician's cabin, recreational hall, guest house, workshop, and others. It is currently closed.

The school is part of the East Stroudsburg Area School District. Gravel Place is a location within Arlington Heights, Pennsylvania, about three miles (4.8 km) northeast of East Stroudsburg. It is neither incorporated nor a census-designated place, but has a name recognized by the USGS. From the 1880s to about 1950, it was a railroad yard of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad (DL&W) on its mainline from Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey, which served New York City by ferry, to Scranton, Pennsylvania, continuing northwest into New York State with its western terminus in Buffalo, New York. It is just north of present Mill Creek Road.

Originally known as Dansbury, East Stroudsburg was renamed for geographic reasons when the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad opened a station in East Stroudsburg. Despite its name being derivative of its bordering borough, Stroudsburg, it has almost twice the population. The Schisler Museum of Wildlife & Natural History is a museum at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. It features habitat recreations that display and interpret more than 130 wildlife specimens from around the world. These specimens represent species from Africa and North America, including every species of North American deer and a comprehensive assortment of North American duck species. The museum also includes a display of insects from around the world and a Delaware River aquarium. The McMunn Planetarium is a planetarium at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. It features a SPITZ digital projection system that can show pre-produced videos as well as custom star shows. In addition to public shows, the planetarium serves as a classroom space for East Stroudsburg University science courses.The Schisler Museum of Wildlife & Natural History and McMunn Planetarium are located on the ground floor of the Warren E. '55 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center at East Stroudsburg University, a Member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

Minisink Hills is an unincorporated community located in Smithfield Township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Minisink Hills is located at the intersection of Gap View Drive and Hillside Drive, along the west bank of Marshalls Creek, east of East Stroudsburg.

East Stroudsburg is an historic train station built by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad in 1856. The station served as the local stop for both East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The depot, recently known locally as the Dansbury Depot for the restaurant that used the building, is located on Crystal Street in East Stroudsburg. Service to East Stroudsburg ended on January 6, 1970, when the Erie Lackawanna Railway discontinued the Lake Cities. A proposal is currently in place to extend NJ Transit service to a rebuilt East Stroudsburg station. In spring 2021, Amtrak announced plans for potential New York–Scranton route. It is currently used by some of Steamtown National Historic Site's excursion trains.

Marshalls Creek is a 13.3-mile-long (21.4 km) tributary of the Brodhead Creek in the Poconos of eastern Pennsylvania in the United States. Marshalls Creek was named after Edward Marshall, a pioneer citizen. Variant names were "Marshall Creek" and "Marshall's Creek".

Smithfield Township is a township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 8,001 at the 2020 census.
