East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) is a public university in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. It is one of ten state universities that compose the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE).

The Schisler Museum of Wildlife & Natural History is a museum at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. It features habitat recreations that display and interpret more than 130 wildlife specimens from around the world. These specimens represent species from Africa and North America, including every species of North American deer and a comprehensive assortment of North American duck species. The museum also includes a display of insects from around the world and a Delaware River aquarium. The McMunn Planetarium is a planetarium at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. It features a SPITZ digital projection system that can show pre-produced videos as well as custom star shows. East Stroudsburg is a borough in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, and part of the Pocono Mountains region of the state. Originally known as Dansbury, East Stroudsburg was renamed for geographic reasons when the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad opened a station in East Stroudsburg. Despite its name being derivative of its bordering borough, Stroudsburg, it has almost twice the population. East Stroudsburg is the largest municipality in Monroe County and in the East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Metropolitan Statistical Area as designated by the Office of Management and Budget based on data from the 2010 US Census. The population was 9,847 at the 2020 census.East Stroudsburg is located 42 miles (68 km) northeast of Allentown, 102 miles (164 km) north of Philadelphia, and 75 miles (121 km) west of New York City.

East Stroudsburg is an historic train station built by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad in 1856. The station served as the local stop for both East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The depot, recently known locally as the Dansbury Depot for the restaurant that used the building, is located on Crystal Street in East Stroudsburg. Service to East Stroudsburg ended on January 6, 1970, when the Erie Lackawanna Railway discontinued the Lake Cities. A proposal is currently in place to extend NJ Transit service to a rebuilt East Stroudsburg station. In spring 2021, Amtrak announced plans for potential New York–Scranton route. It is currently used by some of Steamtown National Historic Site's excursion trains.

East Stroudsburg Senior High School South is a public high school located at 279 North Courtland Street in East Stroudsburg in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The school's mascot is the cavalier. The school is part of the East Stroudsburg Area School District. As of the 2021-22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,336 students, according to National Center for Education Statistics data. The student-to-teacher ratio is 1 teacher to 14.68 students, roughly in line with the state average of 15.1. The student body is 62.9% White, 17.6% African American, 17.1% Hispanic or Latino of any race, 2.3% Asian American, and less than 1% Native American.

East Stroudsburg Armory, also known as the Captain George M. Kemp Memorial Armory, is a historic National Guard armory located at East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1928, and is a "T"-plan building consisting of a two-story administration building and attached one-story drill hall executed in the Tudor Revival style. It is constructed of brick and sits on a concrete foundation. It measures approximately 56 feet by 128 feet. Since class warfare was no longer a concern, the function of the armory took a new turn, and armories were often used as community centers and for public gatherings. No longer were these facilities built to look intimidating; they were now designed in styles that were not visually associated with defense. Armories designed in the Art Deco and Moderne styles were now in vogue, mostly funded by the WPA to create jobs for both skilled and unskilled laborers during the Depression. Kitson Woolen Mill, also known as the Holland Thread Company building, is a historic woolen mill complex located at Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The complex consists of four brick buildings built between 1893 and 1904. They are arranged in a "U"-shape and consist of the "East Wing," "West Wing," boiler house, and office. The Kitson Woolen Mill was in operation until 1928, after which the mill was occupied by the Holland Thread Company until 1978.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Marshalls Creek is a 13.3-mile-long (21.4 km) tributary of the Brodhead Creek in the Poconos of eastern Pennsylvania in the United States. Marshalls Creek was named after Edward Marshall, a pioneer citizen. Variant names were "Marshall Creek" and "Marshall's Creek".

Gravel Place is a location within Arlington Heights, Pennsylvania, about three miles (4.8 km) northeast of East Stroudsburg. It is neither incorporated nor a census-designated place, but has a name recognized by the USGS. From the 1880s to about 1950, it was a railroad yard of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad (DL&W) on its mainline from Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey, which served New York City by ferry, to Scranton, Pennsylvania, continuing northwest into New York State with its western terminus in Buffalo, New York. It is just north of present Mill Creek Road.

Academy Hill Historic District is a national historic district located in Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Bordered by Sarah, 8th, Fulmer, and 5th streets, the district encompasses 180 contributing buildings in a primarily residential section of Stroudsburg.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Delaware Water Gap is a proposed rail station in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, as part of the Lackawanna Cut-Off Restoration Project. The new station would be built south of PA Route 2028 (River Road), about 1 mile (1.6 km) west of the historic railroad station of the same name. Passenger rail service into New Jersey and New York City would be provided by NJ Transit or Amtrak via the Lackawanna Cut-Off.Parking would be available at the Pennsylvania welcome center, located southwest of Interstate 80. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania recently completed improvements to the welcome center. A park-and-ride facility, a five-level garage with about 900 spaces, would be built in the current parking area. The amount of parking for the welcome center would remain unchanged. Pedestrians would walk between the station platform, located between the track and Interstate 80, and the parking site via River Road (Route 2028), which would be improved to handle the foot traffic. Cars coming from Interstate 80 would also use River Road.The proposed location is just outside Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

Christ Episcopal Church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1897 in a private residence in East Stroudsburg. The cornerstone for the current church building was laid on June 8, 1904, and the church was consecrated on November 21, 1905.
