Edgwarebury Brook

Edgwarebury Park is a 22-hectare park in Edgware in the London Borough of Barnet. It was once part of the manor of Earlsbury, which was first mentioned in 1216. In the later Middle Ages it was owned by All Souls College, Oxford, and there is still evidence of the older landscape of fields and woodland. Hendon Rural District and Middlesex County Council bought the land in two parts in 1929 and 1932, and the park opened in the latter year. It is now owned and managed by Barnet Council.The park has extensive sports facilities, a playground, a cafe, and ornamental gardens. During the 1990s, Watling Chase Community Forest planted a new block of woodland in the north east corner. Edgwarebury Brook runs down the western side, with Edgware Way Grassland adjacent.Edgwarebury Park is a Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation, its most distinctive feature being its magnificent old hedgerows. Fine old oak and ash trees tower over the bushes, and the wild service-tree is an indicator of the hedgerows' antiquity. The park is an excellent site for birdwatching. Species include song thrush, mistle thrush, great spotted woodpecker and whitethroat.There is access from Edgware Way and Edgwarebury Lane.

Brockley Hill was a proposed London Underground station that was going to be built at Brockley Hill in north London as part of the 1935-1940 New Works Programme for the London Passenger Transport Board. This station would have been the first of three to be built as part of a 1930s extension project (known as the "Northern Heights") to extend the Northern Line to Bushey Heath. The next stops being Elstree South and Bushey Heath, both would have been near the Aldenham Works, London Transport's main bus overhaul depot. Brockley Hill station was never completed because project funding was withdrawn in December 1939 due to the outbreak of the Second World War. Post-war the project did not restart because the Town and Country Planning Act 1947 had created the Metropolitan Green Belt around London curtailing further urban expansion. Without the planned housing estates to serve the line, the Northern Heights extension project was permanently cancelled. Most of the pre-war brick foundations for Brockley Hill station and its apporach viaduct were demolished in the subsequent decade. The station's location is in what is now Edgware Way Grassland close to Edgwarebury Park on the north side of the junction of Edgware Way / Watford Bypass (A41), and Spur Road (A410).

Edgware Way Grassland or Edgware Way Rough is a 6.7-hectare (17-acre) Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation in Edgware in the London Borough of Barnet. It is traversed by Edgwarebury Brook and contains traces of a planned railway viaduct and embankment. This was part of a planned extension of the Northern line from Edgware to Bushey, which was cancelled when the introduction of the Green Belt after the Second World War led to the cancellation of the developments which the railway was to serve. Part of the site is the Environment Agency's Edgwarebury Park Flood Storage Area. The reserve is typical unimproved London Clay grassland. Damp, herb rich areas have uncommon plants characteristic of old meadows such as great burnet, sneezewort and devil's bit scabious. The brook is lined by sedges and water-cress, while breeding birds include yellowhammer and spotted flycatcher.The reserve adjoins Edgwarebury Park. It is private land, but is crossed by a public footpath from Edgware Way which starts just west of the junction with Spur Road.

Stonegrove and Spur Road Estates (Stonegrove), Edgware, are situated on the edge of the green belt at the very northern edge of the London Borough of Barnet, close to Stanmore tube station and adjoining the London Borough of Harrow. The estates were built in the 60s and 70s, and are a mixture of 11-storey tower blocks and four-storey maisonette blocks.

London Academy (formerly Edgware School) is a mixed all-through school and sixth form for pupils ages 4 to 18. It is located in Edgware in the London Borough of Barnet, England.

Edgware & Hendon Reform Synagogue, a member of the Movement for Reform Judaism, is a Reform Judaism congregation at 118 Stonegrove, Edgware in the London Borough of Barnet. It was formed in 2017 as a result of the merger between the Edgware & District Reform Synagogue (EDRS) and the Hendon Reform Synagogue (HRS) communities. EDRS originated in 1934 as "Edgware and District Progressive Jewish Fellowship" and in February 1935 became “Edgware and District Reform Synagogue”. HRS was founded in 1949 and its first building, in 1955, was in Danescroft Avenue. The two communities merged in 2017, and the merged community is located on the site of the former EDRS. It is now the largest synagogue in Europe; its membership includes 2500 families. The senior rabbi is Mark Goldsmith. He succeeded Danny Smith, who retired in summer 2019.

Broadfields or the Broadfields Estate is a neighbourhood of Edgware in the London Borough of Barnet in northwest London, UK.

Kol Nefesh Masorti Synagogue is a Masorti Jewish congregation in Edgware in the London Borough of Barnet. It was founded in 2001. Its (part-time) Rabbi is Joel Levy and its Cantor is Chazan Jaclyn (Jacky) Chernett.

Edgware () is a suburban town in northern Greater London, mostly in the London Borough of Barnet but with small parts falling in the London Borough of Harrow and in the London Borough of Brent. Edgware is centred 9.5 miles (15.3 km) north-northwest of Charing Cross and has its own commercial centre. Edgware has a generally suburban character, typical of the rural-urban fringe. It was an ancient parish in the county of Middlesex directly east of the ancient Watling Street, and gives its name to the present day Edgware Road that runs from central London towards the town. The community benefits from some elevated woodland on a high ridge marking the Hertfordshire border of gravel and sand. It includes the areas of Burnt Oak, The Hale, Edgwarebury, Canons Park, and parts of Queensbury. Edgware is principally a shopping and residential area, identified in the London Plan as one of the capital's 35 major centres, and one of the northern termini of the Northern line. It has a bus garage, a shopping centre called the Broadwalk Centre, a library, a community hospital—Edgware Community Hospital, and two streams—Edgware Brook and Deans Brook, both tributaries of a small brook known as Silk Stream, which in turn merges with the River Brent at Brent Reservoir. As of 2011, the town had a population of 76,506 and is made up of five wards from both Barnet and Harrow boroughs.

Clay Lane is a one kilometre long public footpath and bridle way in Edgware in the London Borough of Barnet. It is a Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation.It is an old road, recorded back to 1597, which is now a quiet country lane. The path is lined with ancient hedgerows and there are old oak, field maple and ash trees. Honeysuckle and black bryony provide evidence of the hedgerow's antiquity.The path skirts Edgwarebury Cemetery, and in 2008 Belsize Square Synagogue applied to extend the cemetery with access across Clay Lane. The application was opposed by members of the London Wildlife Trust and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. who argued that the extension would be environmentally damaging, and in 2009 Barnet Council rejected the application. The London Wildlife Trust applied to have Clay Lane designated a Village Green under the Commons Registration Act, 1965, which would permanently protect it against development. The Synagogue appealed against the rejection, and in 2010 the appeal was successful with a reduction of the crossings of Clay Lane from three to one. The scheme was then carried out.Clay Lane runs between Bushfield Crescent and Edgwarebury Lane.

The Broadwalk Centre is a shopping centre located in the town of Edgware, Greater London, and is owned by Ballymore Group having been purchased from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP), having been purchased from The Carlyle Group and Bride Hall Holdings for £70 million in March 2012. The centre is 190,000 sq ft in area and was opened in 1990 at the site of the former Edgware railway station building. The Broadwalk Centre is a single-storey shopping centre and holds over 40 retail shops including Sainsbury's, TK Maxx (formerly Marks & Spencer), Boots, Poundland, WHSmith, Costa Coffee, and Superdrug, as well as disabled and public toilets and baby changing facilities. A public meeting room was added in January 2022. Edgware tube station and Edgware bus station can be easily accessed via a side entrance. There is a car park accessed via station road, which also has a commuter section for the underground. It was owned by The Mall Fund until 2008. In summer 2013, SWIP announced that it was in pre-application discussions with Barnet Council about a supermarket and cinema extension which could increase the size of the scheme by more than half. As of 2020, Broadwalk is tipped for regeneration.
