Brandenburg

Potsdam Pirschheide station is a station on the Berlin outer ring. It was opened in 1958 as Potsdam Süd (south) station and was called Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (main station) from 1961 to 1993. In this period it was the most important station on the outer ring after Berlin Schönefeld Flughafen station. Although the station is far from the centre of Potsdam on the Pirschheide (Pirsch heath) to the southwest of the town, in its heyday as the main station it had substantial passenger traffic and often reached its capacity limit. With the reunification, however, the station rapidly lost importance and was almost completely closed except for a single platform in the lower part of the station. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station.

Templiner See (German pronunciation: [tɛmˈpliːnɐ zeː] (listen)) is a lake in the state of Brandenburg, Germany. It stretches to the south and west from the centre of the city of Potsdam. The lake is some 5.8 kilometres (3.6 mi) long, with a maximum width of 1.2 kilometres (0.75 mi) and a surface area is 5.11 square kilometres (1.97 sq mi). It lies at an elevation of 29.4 metres (96 ft) above sea level, and has a maximum depth of 6 metres (20 ft). The navigable River Havel flows through the lake, entering it at its northern end adjacent to central Potsdam, and leaving it at its southern end via a short channel to the Schwielowsee between Caputh and Geltow. The lake is crossed by two cable ferries, the Kiewitt Ferry towards its northern end, and the Caputh Ferry at its southern exit. Navigation is administered as part of the Untere Havel–Wasserstraße.At the northern end of the lake, the peninsula of Hermannswerder protrudes into the lake. At about its midpoint, the lake is crossed by the Berlin outer ring railway, using an embankment and bridge. This was built in the 1950s, to bypass West Berlin during the division of Germany.

Caputh-Geltow station is a railway station in Geltow, district of the municipality Schwielowsee located in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark, Brandenburg, Germany.

The Caputh Ferry is a vehicular cable ferry in the municipality of Schwielowsee of the state of Brandenburg, Germany. It crosses the River Havel at its outlet from the Templiner See to the Schwielowsee, and crosses between the villages of Caputh and Geltow.

It is a public school integrated with a two-year high school (Gymnasium) that follows the Montessori method, or teachings of Maria Montessori. The Head of the school is Ulrike Kegler.

The Villa Ingenheim is an historic building in the suburbs west of Brandenburg Potsdam. Located at Zeppelinstraße 127/128, the property was used by the German Armed Forces Military History Research Office (since 2013, the Center for Military History and Social Sciences of the Bundeswehr).

It is best known as the summer residence of Crown Prince Frederick William (later King Frederick William IV of Prussia). Today it is maintained by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg.

The New Palace (German: Neues Palais) is a palace situated on the western side of the Sanssouci park in Potsdam, Germany. The building was begun in 1763, after the end of the Seven Years' War, under King Friedrich II (Frederick the Great) and was completed in 1769. It is considered to be the last great Prussian Baroque palace.
