The Prototyp – Personen.Kraft.Wagen (persons.power.cars) museum in Hamburg opened in 2008 in Hamburg's Speicherstadt district. The permanent exhibition of the museum specializes in German sports and racing cars developed after WW II. The PROTOTYP museum ist privately funded and wants to convey excitement about cars by focussing the designers and race drivers like Otto Mathé and Petermax Müller who re-established racing after 1945. In many cases early race and sports cars in Germany were technically based on pre-war constructions like the Volkswagen. For that reason the PROTOTYP museum shows a special interest in this vehicle. In post-war racing unique self-built cars – prototypes – were designed and raced. These cars are here on display, together with other race and record cars, sports and even modern formula cars. Display cabinets next to the cars show historic exhibitis and offer informative stories. A digital library allows to leaf through the photo albums of race drivers and engineers. In a walk-in “Audiobox” several engine sounds can be started. A driving simulator is integrated in a real Porsche 356.

The Speicherstadtrathaus (English: Warehouse City Town Hall) is the administration building of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG. It is located in the historic warehouse complex of the Speicherstadt in the Port of Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany. The Speicherstadtrathaus has been a listed building since 1991 and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since July 5, 2015, along with the neighboring Kontorhaus District.

Kuehne Logistics University – Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Logistik und Unternehmensführung (KLU) is a private, state-recognized business school (Wirtschaftshochschule) based in Hamburg, Germany. It was founded by the Kühne Stiftung (Kuehne Foundation), based in Schindellegi, Switzerland. The contracting body is the Kühne Logistics University gGmbH. The non-profit foundation supports education and further education as well as research and science in transport and logistics. KLU comprises two departments: "Department of Operations and Technology" and "Department of Leadership and Management", and it spans the whole gamut of university education and executive education, from bachelor's degrees and three master's programs to the structured PhD program. KLU is located at Hamburg's HafenCity area and its classes are taught in English.

Skytanking provides aviation fuelling services including into-plane fuelling, aviation fuel storage and hydrant management, investment in aviation fuel facilities at airports and engineering. Founded in 1998, the company is a subsidiary of Marquard & Bahls and is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. It handles 23.2 million cbm of aviation fuel per year, refuels 2 million aircraft, and has operations at 83 airports in 14 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America (as of: November 2019). Skytanking employed around 1,890 people in 2018.

The Kontorhaus District is the southeastern part of Altstadt, Hamburg, between Steinstraße, Meßberg, Klosterwall and Brandstwiete. The streetscape is characterised by large office buildings in the style of Brick Expressionism of the early 20th century. Since 5 July 2015, parts of the Kontorhaus district and the adjacent Speicherstadt district have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

HafenCity (German pronunciation: [ˈhaːfn̩ˌsɪtiː] (listen)) is a quarter in the borough of Hamburg-Mitte, Hamburg, Germany, Europe. It is located on the Elbe river island Grasbrook, on the former Port of Hamburg area. It was formally established in 2008 and also includes the historical Speicherstadt area, which since 2015 is an UNESCO World Heritage Site with the adjacent Kontorhausviertel. The main landmark of the HafenCity is the Elbphilharmonie concert hall. In a narrower sense, HafenCity Hamburg is a project of urban regeneration where the "Grosser Grasbrook" area of the former Hamburg free port is being revitalised with new hotels, shops, office buildings, and residential areas. The project is considered the largest urban redevelopment project in Europe by landmass (approximately 2.2 square kilometres (220 ha)). With the decreased economic importance of free ports in an era of European Union free trade, large container ships, and increased border security, the Hamburg free port was reduced in size, relieving the current HafenCity area from its restrictions. The ground-breaking ceremony was held on 20 June 2001, with the first quarter called "Am Dalmannkai/Sandtorkai" -next to the Elbphilharmonie- completed in 2009. When completely developed, the HafenCity area will be home to about 12,000 people and the workplace of 40,000 people. The prospect for completion is not tied down, but will probably be between 2025 and 2030.

The U4 is a line of the Hamburg U-Bahn, which opened in 2012, serving 12 stations. It is the shortest line of the network, with a length of 11.9 kilometres (7.39 mi) and from Jungfernstieg to Billstedt it shares tracks with the U2.

The U3 is a line of the Hamburg U-Bahn. The ring line with a length of 20.68 kilometres (12.85 mi) serves 25 stations. The first part opened in 1912. The line starts in Wandsbek-Gartenstadt and leads via Barmbek into the ring passing through the city center and back to Barmbek.

Dialogue in the Dark ("Dialog in the Dark" in American promotional materials) is an awareness raising exhibition and franchise, as well as a social business. In Dialogue in the Dark, blind guides lead visitors in small groups through different settings in absolute darkness. Through this visitors learn how to interact without sight by using their other senses, as well as experience what it is like to be blind. The exhibition is organized as a social franchising company, which offers the exhibition as well as business workshops, and has created jobs for the blind, disabled, and disadvantaged worldwide. The exhibition aims to change mindsets on disability and diversity, and increase tolerance for “otherness”. More than 9 million visitors have gone through an experience in the Dark and thousands of blind guides and facilitators find employment through exhibitions and workshops.

Grimm (or The Grimm) is a former island in the Alster river at Hamburg, Germany, east of Cremon. Today there is a street in the old town, the road is probably on the island. Adolf III, Count of Schauenburg and Holstein had brought settlers from Westphalia to colonise the island. Its shore was built up after three floods from 1216 to 1219 and the island reclaimed. Up to 1300, the island was outside the city walls. In 1246 Grimm was absorbed by the city of Hamburg, and together with Cremon formed the parish of the newly built St. Catherine's Church. Grimm was untouched by the Hamburg fire of 1842 and was one of the few areas of the old city to retain its historic structure in the 20th Century. These were mainly four-storey and three-to five-axis Hamburg merchant's houses from the Baroque, with typical facades, portals and rich pre-built Ausluchten. The early 20th Century, however, saw a change in the composition of the population. The painted ceiling of Grimm 31 has been preserved in the Museum of Hamburg History since its opening in 1922.

St. Catherine's Church (German: St. Katharinen) is one of the five principal Lutheran churches (Hauptkirchen) of Hamburg, Germany. The base of its spire, dating from the 13th century, is the second oldest building preserved in the city, after the lighthouse on Neuwerk island. It is situated on an island near what was formerly the southern boundary of the medieval city, opposite the historic harbour area on the Elbe river. It traditionally served as the church of the seamen.

The Speicherstadt (German pronunciation: [ˈʃpaɪ̯çɐˌʃtat], literally: 'City of Warehouses', meaning warehouse district) in Hamburg, Germany is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber-pile foundations, oak logs, in this particular case. It is located in the port of Hamburg—within the HafenCity quarter—and was built from 1883 to 1927. The district was built as a free zone to transfer goods without paying customs. As of 2009, both the district and the surrounding area are under redevelopment. As the first site in Hamburg, it was awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site on 5 July 2015.
