Boldmere St. Michaels F.C.

Boldmere St. Michaels Women F.C. is an English football club based in Boldmere, Birmingham, who are currently members of the FA Women's National League North. They were promoted at the end of 2021-22 as Champions of Division One Midlands.

The 2019–20 Aston Villa W.F.C. season was the club's 24th season under their current Aston Villa affiliation and the organisation's 47th overall season in existence. It was their sixth consecutive full season in the FA Women's Championship, formerly the FA WSL 2. Along with competing in the Championship, the club also contested two domestic cup competitions: the FA Cup and the League Cup. On 13 March 2020, in line with the FA's response to the coronavirus pandemic, it was announced the season was temporarily suspended until at least 3 April 2020. After further postponements, the season was ultimately ended prematurely on 25 May 2020 with immediate effect. Aston Villa sat six points clear at the top of the table at the time and were awarded the Championship title and promoted on sporting merit after The FA Board's decision to award places on a points-per-game basis.

Anstey College of Physical Education, founded in 1897 as the Anstey Physical Training College, was a pioneer training college for teachers of girls' physical education, only the second such institution for women in the United Kingdom. Located for most of its history in the Erdington area of Birmingham, England, the college was originally independent but came under the control of Staffordshire education department in 1955 as part of a financial rescue deal. In 1975 it was taken over by Birmingham Polytechnic and renamed the Anstey Department of Physical Education. The Erdington premises remained in use until 1981, when the Anstey Department was transferred to the Edgbaston campus of the polytechnic, before being closed down in 1984.

Oscott is a ward in the northwest of Birmingham, England, within the formal district of Perry Barr. The Ward is centred on the area known as Old Oscott, originally just "Oscott", and should not be confused with nearby New Oscott. It includes the former Booths Farm sand quarry, Aldridge Road Recreation Ground, and Kingstanding Circle. Wylde Green railway station is a railway station serving northern Wylde Green and Boldmere in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, West Midlands, England. It is on the Redditch-Birmingham New Street-Lichfield Cross-City Line 6+1⁄2 miles (10.5 km) north east of Birmingham New Street, and is in Centro fare zone 4. The station was opened on 2 June 1862, when the LNWR Birmingham to Sutton Coldfield railway line was completed and later operated by the LMS. The station has a car park. Pedestrian and vehicular access is via Station Road, with pedestrian access also available from Highbridge Road. The platforms are above the former road, but below the latter. Despite the station name, Chester Road railway station is located closer to Wylde Green's shopping centre, The Lanes.

Chester Road railway station is a railway station serving the Pype Hayes, Erdington, Wylde Green and Boldmere areas of north-east Birmingham, in the West Midlands county of England. It is situated on the Redditch/Bromsgrove-Birmingham New Street-Lichfield Cross-City Line. It is a park and ride station, and has a free car park which was expanded in May 2006. Pedestrian access to the station is via Green Lanes, near the junction with the Chester Road (A452). The station is above road level, as the line here is on an embankment.

St Mary's College in New Oscott, Birmingham, often called Oscott College, is the Roman Catholic seminary of the Archdiocese of Birmingham in England and one of the three seminaries of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.

Erdington railway station is a railway station serving the Erdington area of Birmingham, England. It is situated on the Redditch/Bromsgrove–Birmingham New Street–Lichfield Cross-City Line. It has 2 platforms. The station was opened in 1862 by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) on Sheep Lane, later known as Station Road.Pedestrian access is via Station Road. Platform 1 and 2 have separate entrances. Platform 1’s entrance being towards the car park and the second being past the tunnel on the other side. When you are in the station, there is no way to switch between platforms without coming out the station. The station is above road level, as the line here is on an embankment. A new passenger shelter on the northbound platform was built and opened in November 2006. The letters LMS can still be seen on the adjacent road bridge. At the foot of the ramp to the southbound platform there is a sculpture by Ronald Rae entitled Insect and Celtic Cross.
