Bullgill is a hamlet in Cumbria, England.

Crosby Villa is a hamlet in the civil parish of Crosscanonby in Cumbria, United Kingdom. It is located on the A596 road, 3.75 miles (6.04 km) north-east of Maryport and 3.75 miles (6.04 km) south-west of Aspatria. The village of Crosby is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the south-west, and the hamlet of Oughterside is 2.25 miles (3.62 km) to the north-east. Cumbria's county town, Carlisle, is 24 miles (39 km) to the north-east.Crosby Villa lies on the Solway Plain, less than 1 mile (1.6 km) from the boundary of the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) s from the shore of Allonby Bay, an inlet of the Solway Firth. Historically, the name may have been spelled Crosby Villas.

Oughterside and Allerby is a civil parish in Allerdale district, Cumbria, England. In the 2011 census it had a population of 619. The north western boundary of the parish is a short stretch of coast, then, working clockwise, the parish is bordered by Hayton and Mealo to the north, Aspatria to the north east, Plumbland to the south east, Gilcrux to the south and Crosscanonby to the south west. The A596 road from Aspatria to Maryport passes through the parish, and the B5300 road follows its coastline in the north west. The main settlements in the parish are Allerby in the west and Oughterside and Prospect, in the east.

It is located on the A596 road, 1.6 miles (2.6 km) north-east of Maryport + 26.2 miles (42.2 km) south-west of Carlisle. In 1870-72 it had a population of 157.

Hayton is a village in the Cumberland unitary authority area of Cumbria, England. It is the only settlement in the civil parish of Hayton and Mealo. Historically located in Cumberland, and on a minor road between the B5300 and the A596, it is approximately 2 miles from the coast. Nearby settlements include the town of Aspatria and the villages of Oughterside and Prospect. A small tributary called Patten Beck runs across the village, through the grounds of the castle.

Hayton and Mealo is a civil parish in Allerdale district, Cumbria. The only settlement is Hayton, a village in the centre of the parish, which had a population of 237 in the 2011 census. In 1848, its population was 378. The parish has an area of 2.9 square miles (7.6 km2). The western boundary of the parish is a short stretch of coastline south of Allonby; working clockwise it is then bordered by Allonby parish to the north, Westnewton to the north east, Aspatria to the east and Oughterside and Allerby to the south. The B5300 road runs along the western edge of the parish, on the coast, and the A596 road from Aspatria to Maryport runs just outside the parish's south eastern boundary. There is a parish council, forming the lowest level of local government. Its archives 1997-2013 are held at the Carlisle Archive Centre. The Manor of Hayton was long held by the Musgrave family, from about 1500 until the early 19th century, when it passed to the Hylton and Jolliffe family through marriage.

Tallentire is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Bridekirk, in the Allerdale borough of Cumbria, England. It is about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) north of Cockermouth. The village is located just outside the Lake District National Park. In 1931 the parish had a population of 184.

Gilcrux is a small village and civil parish in the ceremonial county of Cumbria, England, and historically part of Cumberland. It is situated just outside the Lake District National Park.The village is on the south bank of the River Ellen around 5 miles (8 km) north of Cockermouth and around 37 kilometres (23 mi) southwest of Carlisle the County town of Cumbria. An early record of the village is shown on a map of the Cumbria area by Christopher Saxton in 1567, in which the village is known as Gilcrosse.

Dearham railway station was on the single track Derwent Branch of the Maryport and Carlisle Railway (M&CR) in the then county of Cumberland, now Cumbria, England. The station was opened in 1867, situated on the south eastern edge of Dearham village. There was a passing loop and a siding at the station.

Milefortlet 20 (Low Mire) was a Milefortlet of the Roman Cumbrian Coast defences. These milefortlets and intervening stone watchtowers extended from the western end of Hadrian's Wall, along the Cumbrian coast and were linked by a wooden palisade. They were contemporary with defensive structures on Hadrian's Wall. There is little to see on the ground, but Milefortlet 20 has been located and excavated.
