Westside Park

Bankhead is a train station in Atlanta, Georgia, the western terminus of the Green Line in the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. The Bankhead Marta Station is located in the Grove Park Neighborhood due to a recent neighborhood expansion. This station primarily serves the neighborhoods of Grove Park, Bankhead, West Lake, Howell Station, and other Westside residents. Bankhead Station provides connecting bus service to Donald Lee Hollowell Highway, Maddox Park, and the future Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry; which will be the largest park in the city of Atlanta Unlike most MARTA stations, which are provisioned for eight rail cars, Bankhead can only accommodate two cars, with adequate space left in place to allow extension to four cars in the future. It is the only station served exclusively by the Green Line. The area it serves is scheduled to be an important part of the Belt Line, near Maddox Park and the new Westside Park, which would be the largest park in the city of Atlanta.

The Fulton County Jail, also referred to as Rice Street, is a prison in Atlanta, Georgia. It was built to hold up to 1,125 prisoners in 1989 but now occasionally tops 3,000.

Grove Park is a northwest Atlanta, inside-the-perimeter neighborhood bounded by: Center Hill on the west Dixie Hills, West Lake, and Hunter Hills on the south Bankhead on the east Almond Park, West Highlands and Rockdale to the north

The B.E.S.T. Academy at Benjamin S. Carson (BEST) was opened in Atlanta, Georgia, United States in August 2007. For a short time the academy was simply referred to as "the boys' single gender academy," but was later named by its first principal, Curt R. Green, in honor of the renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin S. Carson. B.E.S.T. is an acronym for Business, Engineering, Science, and Technology. At its inception, the school served boys in grade 6 with plans for expansion to grade 12 by 2013. The B.E.S.T. Academy is a public school in the Atlanta Public Schools system.

The Huff House was for decades the oldest house in the city of Atlanta. It was located at the northeast corner of Huff Road and Ellsworth Industrial Avenue. at 1133 Huff Road NW (old numbering, 70 Huff Road NW) in Blandtown, part of what is today West Midtown, overlooking the site of the Battle of Peachtree Creek. It was the family home of Sara Huff, the author of the memoir My 80 Years in Atlanta. Jeremiah Huff built the house of pine and brick in 1854 or 1855 over the remnants of an 1830s log cabin. It was razed in 1954 to make way for the Rushton Toy Factory building. This was covered on the front page of the Atlanta paper at the time. Perennial Properties bought the factory site in 2006, demolished the factory in 2008, and the Apex West Midtown residential development is now located at the site.Adorning the Huff House was some of the boxwood from the demolished Ponder House, which had stood in the Hemphill Avenue neighborhood. Atlanta historian Franklin Garrett characterized the house as one of the two finest residences in pre-Civil War Atlanta.

Maddox Park is a 51.5-acre (208,000 m2) community park located in the west side of Atlanta (in the Bankhead neighborhood), across Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway from Bankhead MARTA station. It is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of Georgia Tech. The park has an existing rail line running through it, which is part of the proposed route of the Belt Line. The park is named in honor of former Atlanta mayor Robert Maddox and opened in 1931. The park is planned to expand while connecting to the BeltLine and a series of parks encircling the city.

Bacchanalia is a restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. The fine dining restaurant serves American cuisine. It received one star as well as a green star in the Michelin Guide in 2023.

Knight Park–Howell Station, also known as Howell Station Historic District, is a National historic district and neighborhood in, Atlanta, Georgia. Almost all buildings in the area were destroyed in the American Civil War, in Sherman's March to the Sea, and all of the buildings in the district were built after 1864. The neighborhood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Blandtown is a neighborhood of the West Midtown area of Atlanta, Georgia. It is located along either side of Huff Road from Howell Mill Road west to Marietta Blvd. It was one of the first black settlements around Atlanta after the Civil War, named for a Black man who owned property. As a community it declined from the 1950s through 1990s, following racially motivated rezoning and a general flight from cities to suburbs. It now forms part of the West Midtown area, a rapidly developing part of Atlanta known for its home furnishings stores, new apartment and condo complexes, restaurants and bars.

Ashby Street Car Barn, locally known as the Ashby Street Trolley Barn, is a historic interurban carhouse in Atlanta, Georgia. It was constructed by the Atlanta Northern Railway Company in 1927, replacing a previous structure built in 1904. The carhouse was the major maintenance facility for the Atlanta/Marietta interurban, which ran until January 31, 1947. It had six parallel tracks inside.The carhouse was renovated in 1998 and 1999 for use as lofts and a brewery, as part of the King Plow Arts Center project. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 6, 1998.

The King Plow/Railroad Historic District is a proposed historic district in Midtown West, Atlanta, Georgia. Creation of the district was approved at the state level in 2001 but it has not yet received national certification. The district would consist of: King Plow Arts Center Midtown West district, a mixed-use complex on 17 acres bounded by Howell Mill, Marietta, Brady and 10th. It consists of 16 historic buildings housing retail, restaurants, galleries and offices. Includes "The Brickworks" complex. the site of the Miller Union Stockyards Westside Provisions district, consisting of: White Provisions, a former meatpacking plant Westside Urban Market, on the site of the United Butchers Abattoir (slaughterhouse)

The Howard School (THS) is located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It was founded by Marian Howard in 1950 to give students alternative approaches to learning. Students with language-based learning disabilities and learning differences from grades K-12 may attend the school.
