Ashby Street Car Barn, locally known as the Ashby Street Trolley Barn, is a historic interurban carhouse in Atlanta, Georgia. It was constructed by the Atlanta Northern Railway Company in 1927, replacing a previous structure built in 1904. The carhouse was the major maintenance facility for the Atlanta/Marietta interurban, which ran until January 31, 1947. It had six parallel tracks inside.The carhouse was renovated in 1998 and 1999 for use as lofts and a brewery, as part of the King Plow Arts Center project. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 6, 1998.

Knight Park–Howell Station, also known as Howell Station Historic District, is a National historic district and neighborhood in, Atlanta, Georgia. Almost all buildings in the area were destroyed in the American Civil War, in Sherman's March to the Sea, and all of the buildings in the district were built after 1864. The neighborhood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Oglethorpe Park was a municipal park in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The park, consisting of about 50 acres (20 ha), was created in 1869 and hosted numerous fairs, most notably the International Cotton Exposition in 1881. Following this exposition, the park was sold by the city and was converted into the Exposition Cotton Mills, utilizing facilities that had been built for the event. The closure of the park indirectly contributed to the creation of two later parks in Atlanta: Grant Park and Piedmont Park.

The Exposition Cotton Mills were cotton mills located in what is now the West Midtown area of Atlanta at the upper end of the Marietta Street Artery, an area rich with industrial heritage architecture. They were built on what had been Oglethorpe Park for the International Cotton Exposition of 1881 and were demolished in 1952. A warehouse and distribution center now occupy the site. According to Atlanta historian Franklin Garrett, the success of the mills was "immediate," had been "continuous," and "had much to do with the growth of the cotton-million industry in the South... turning out more than 12,000,000 miles (19,000,000 km) of yarn a month and weaving more than 1,000 miles (1,600 km) of cloth per month. The original address was 794 West Marietta Street, but has since changed to 841 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. (formerly Ashby Street) NW.

The King Plow/Railroad Historic District is a proposed historic district in Midtown West, Atlanta, Georgia. Creation of the district was approved at the state level in 2001 but it has not yet received national certification. The district would consist of: King Plow Arts Center Midtown West district, a mixed-use complex on 17 acres bounded by Howell Mill, Marietta, Brady and 10th. It consists of 16 historic buildings housing retail, restaurants, galleries and offices. Includes "The Brickworks" complex. the site of the Miller Union Stockyards Westside Provisions district, consisting of: White Provisions, a former meatpacking plant Westside Urban Market, on the site of the United Butchers Abattoir (slaughterhouse)

Maddox Park is a 51.5-acre (208,000 m2) community park located in the west side of Atlanta (in the Bankhead neighborhood), across Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway from Bankhead MARTA station. It is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of Georgia Tech. The park has an existing rail line running through it, which is part of the proposed route of the Belt Line. The park is named in honor of former Atlanta mayor Robert Maddox and opened in 1931. The park is planned to expand while connecting to the BeltLine and a series of parks encircling the city.

Bankhead is a train station in Atlanta, Georgia, the western terminus of the Green Line in the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. The Bankhead Marta Station is located in the Grove Park Neighborhood due to a recent neighborhood expansion. This station primarily serves the neighborhoods of Grove Park, Bankhead, West Lake, Howell Station, and other Westside residents. Bankhead Station provides connecting bus service to Donald Lee Hollowell Highway, Maddox Park, and the future Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry; which will be the largest park in the city of Atlanta Unlike most MARTA stations, which are provisioned for eight rail cars, Bankhead can only accommodate two cars, with adequate space left in place to allow extension to four cars in the future. It is the only station served exclusively by the Green Line. The area it serves is scheduled to be an important part of the Belt Line, near Maddox Park and the new Westside Park, which would be the largest park in the city of Atlanta.

International Cotton Exposition (I.C.E.) was a world's fair held in Atlanta, Georgia, from October 4 to December 31 of 1881. The location was along the Western & Atlantic Railroad tracks near the present-day King Plow Arts Center development in the West Midtown area. It planned to show the progress made since the city's destruction during the Battle of Atlanta and new developments in cotton production. It demonstrated the rebirth of Atlanta and the South by announcing an end to the Reconstruction Era and the sectional hostilities that had plagued the nation for several decades.Placed a short train ride from downtown, it was designed so that the largest building could later be used as a cotton mill (see Exposition Cotton Mills). A quarter of a million people attended, generating between $220,000 and $250,000 in receipts, split evenly between sales and gate receipts.

Howell Interlocking Historic District is the area in West Midtown, Atlanta where four railroad lines converge. It is adjacent to the Marietta Street Artery neighborhood, an area rich in industrial history, as an original industrial district built along Atlanta's first railway line (1837).

Avize Modern Alpine, or simply Avize, is an Alpine / Austrian / European restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It was included in The New York Times's 2025 list of the nation's 50 best restaurants. The business operates in the space that previously housed Nick's Westside. The menu includes venison tartare.

The Goat Farm Arts Center is a visual and performing arts center located in West Midtown, Atlanta, Georgia. The center is housed in a 19th-century complex of industrial buildings and contains the studio space of over 300 artists. Goat Farm hosts music concerts, traditional and experimental theatrical performances, film screenings, contemporary dance performances, art exhibitions, artist residency programs, and professional ballet and contemporary dance classes. It is also home to resident performance companies gloATL, Saiah Theater, and The Collective Project.

The Howard School (THS) is located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It was founded by Marian Howard in 1950 to give students alternative approaches to learning. Students with language-based learning disabilities and learning differences from grades K-12 may attend the school.
