Maddox Park

Bankhead is a train station in Atlanta, Georgia, the western terminus of the Green Line in the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. The Bankhead Marta Station is located in the Grove Park Neighborhood due to a recent neighborhood expansion. This station primarily serves the neighborhoods of Grove Park, Bankhead, West Lake, Howell Station, and other Westside residents. Bankhead Station provides connecting bus service to Donald Lee Hollowell Highway, Maddox Park, and the future Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry; which will be the largest park in the city of Atlanta Unlike most MARTA stations, which are provisioned for eight rail cars, Bankhead can only accommodate two cars, with adequate space left in place to allow extension to four cars in the future. It is the only station served exclusively by the Green Line. The area it serves is scheduled to be an important part of the Belt Line, near Maddox Park and the new Westside Park, which would be the largest park in the city of Atlanta.

The Fulton County Jail, also referred to as Rice Street, is a prison in Atlanta, Georgia. It was built to hold up to 1,125 prisoners in 1989 but now occasionally tops 3,000.

Lindsay Street Park is a public park in the English Avenue neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. Opened in 2015, it is the first park to be opened in English Avenue

Washington Park is a historically black neighborhood in northwest Atlanta encompassing historic residential, commercial, and community landmark buildings. It is situated two miles (3 km) west of the central business district of Atlanta. The combination of gridiron and curvilinear streets is a result of the neighborhood having been developed from four separate subdivision plats. One of these plats created Atlanta's first planned black neighborhood, while the other three were abandoned by white developers and adopted by Heman Perry, an early 20th-century black developer. Although Perry did not receive a formal education past the seventh grade, in 1913 he founded one of the largest black-owned companies in the United States, the Standard Life Insurance Company of Atlanta.

Kathryn Johnston Memorial Park is a park in the English Avenue neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry is a park in the City of Atlanta located on the site of the former Bellwood Quarry. The park is between Johnson Road and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and between the neighborhoods of Bankhead, Grove Park, and Knight Park/Howell Station, of which a large portion of the park falls within the Grove Park boundaries. Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry was a major green space project of the Atlanta BeltLine master plan. The park has trail connectivity to the Proctor Creek Greenway Trail (Phase 1) and will ultimately have connectivity to the BeltLine.

Hunter Hills is a neighborhood located west of downtown Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Its motto, "One Community, One Family", has been its cornerstone since 2001. The neighborhood is encompassed in the 30314 zip code. Hunter Hills shares borders with Mozley Park, Dixie Hills and West Lake neighborhoods. The neighborhood rests just inside Atlanta's perimeter highway I-285, and U.S. Route 78 (Bankhead Highway). The schools that serve the neighborhood are Stanton Elementary, Carter G. Woodson Elementary School, Ron Clark Academy, Herndon Elementary and Washington High School, and the Atlanta Job Corps. City of Refuge, a community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, was established on the 1300 block of Joseph E. Boone Blvd. in 2003 and helps to bring transformation to individuals and families through services including housing, health and wellness, vocational training, and youth development.

Oglethorpe Park was a municipal park in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The park, consisting of about 50 acres (20 ha), was created in 1869 and hosted numerous fairs, most notably the International Cotton Exposition in 1881. Following this exposition, the park was sold by the city and was converted into the Exposition Cotton Mills, utilizing facilities that had been built for the event. The closure of the park indirectly contributed to the creation of two later parks in Atlanta: Grant Park and Piedmont Park.

The Exposition Cotton Mills were cotton mills located in what is now the West Midtown area of Atlanta at the upper end of the Marietta Street Artery, an area rich with industrial heritage architecture. They were built on what had been Oglethorpe Park for the International Cotton Exposition of 1881 and were demolished in 1952. A warehouse and distribution center now occupy the site. According to Atlanta historian Franklin Garrett, the success of the mills was "immediate," had been "continuous," and "had much to do with the growth of the cotton-million industry in the South... turning out more than 12,000,000 miles (19,000,000 km) of yarn a month and weaving more than 1,000 miles (1,600 km) of cloth per month. The original address was 794 West Marietta Street, but has since changed to 841 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. (formerly Ashby Street) NW.

Ashby Street Car Barn, locally known as the Ashby Street Trolley Barn, is a historic interurban carhouse in Atlanta, Georgia. It was constructed by the Atlanta Northern Railway Company in 1927, replacing a previous structure built in 1904. The carhouse was the major maintenance facility for the Atlanta/Marietta interurban, which ran until January 31, 1947. It had six parallel tracks inside.The carhouse was renovated in 1998 and 1999 for use as lofts and a brewery, as part of the King Plow Arts Center project. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 6, 1998.

Knight Park–Howell Station, also known as Howell Station Historic District, is a National historic district and neighborhood in, Atlanta, Georgia. Almost all buildings in the area were destroyed in the American Civil War, in Sherman's March to the Sea, and all of the buildings in the district were built after 1864. The neighborhood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The King Plow/Railroad Historic District is a proposed historic district in Midtown West, Atlanta, Georgia. Creation of the district was approved at the state level in 2001 but it has not yet received national certification. The district would consist of: King Plow Arts Center Midtown West district, a mixed-use complex on 17 acres bounded by Howell Mill, Marietta, Brady and 10th. It consists of 16 historic buildings housing retail, restaurants, galleries and offices. Includes "The Brickworks" complex. the site of the Miller Union Stockyards Westside Provisions district, consisting of: White Provisions, a former meatpacking plant Westside Urban Market, on the site of the United Butchers Abattoir (slaughterhouse)
