Heathfield and Waldron

Heathfield is a market town and former civil parish, now in the parish of Heathfield and Waldron, in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. The town had a population of 7,732 in 2011.

Heathfield railway station was on the Cuckoo Line between Horam and Mayfield, serving the market town of Heathfield. It was opened in 1880 by London, Brighton and South Coast Railway on the line extension from Hailsham to Eridge. The station was closed for passenger trains in 1965 but freight trains continued to serve the goods yard until 1968.

Heathfield Park SSSI is a 41-hectare (100-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Heathfield in East Sussex. It is part of Heathfield Park, a Grade II* listed building and park. This is a steep valley carved by a stream. The sheltered wooded habitat has a warm and moist microclimate and it has a number of plant species usually restricted to western Britain, such as Cornish moneywort, hay-scented buckler-fern and the liverwort Frullania tamarisci. The site is also important for lichens and 76 species have been recorded.The site is private land with no public access.

All Saints Church is a Church of England parish church in Heathfield, East Sussex, England. It was constructed in the 14th century and is a Grade II* listed building.

Heathfield Community College is a secondary school near the market town of Heathfield, East Sussex, England.

Sapperton Meadows is a 14.7-hectare (36-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of Heathfield in East Sussex.These poorly drained hay meadows and rich pastures are managed by traditional techniques. The flora is diverse, with species such as dyer’s greenweed, lesser spearwort and fleabane. There is an extensive network of hedges which are probably old as they have many native trees and shrubs.The site is crossed by footpaths.

Ebenezer Chapel is a Strict Baptist place of worship in the hamlet of Broad Oak, part of the parish of Heathfield in the English county of East Sussex. The chapel was built in 1864. An Independent Baptist congregation was founded here in 1835 by a Horsham-based preacher. The present chapel is aligned to the Gospel Standard movement and was built in 1864. It is timber-framed, partly weatherboarded and rendered, and has been extended several times. Above the entrance there is a gable.The chapel is licensed for worship in accordance with the Places of Worship Registration Act 1855 and has the registration number 9014.

The Heathfield transmitting station is a facility for FM and television transmission at Heathfield, East Sussex, UK (grid reference TQ566220). Opened in 1969, its antenna mast is a 135 m (443 ft) tall guyed structure, giving the transmitter a height of 256 m (840 ft) above sea level. A Group B (or wideband or K group) horizontally polarised aerial is required to receive digital TV signals. The original analogue signals were in the Group C/D band, but all the digital MUXES should still be receivable on a C/D group aerial in reasonable signal areas (see graph). The station's coverage area suffers from co-channel interference problems, particularly to the south, not only with Brighton (Whitehawk Hill) but with the continent as well. It is owned and operated by Arqiva. The transmitter broadcasts television and radio services to East Sussex and parts of West Sussex. Along with Dover, Bluebell Hill and Brighton Whitehawk Hill, Heathfield transmits regional television services from BBC One South East and ITV Meridian (east).

St Dunstan's Farm Meadows is a 10.2-hectare (25-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-east of Heathfield in East Sussex. It is in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.This site has three unimproved meadows which are traditionally managed. They are dominated by red fescue and common bent grass and other flora include sweet vernal-grass, pignut, sheep's sorrel and field woodrush.A footpath crosses one of the fields.

Cross-in-Hand is a small village outside Heathfield town to its west, in the Wealden District situated in East Sussex, England. It is occasionally referred to as Isenhurst.

Horam railway station was on the Cuckoo Line between Hellingly and Heathfield, serving the village of Horam.
