Cross-in-Hand is a small village outside Heathfield town to its west, in the Wealden District situated in East Sussex, England. It is occasionally referred to as Isenhurst.

New Mill is a Grade II* listed post mill at Cross in Hand near Heathfield, East Sussex, England. It was the last windmill working commercially by wind in Sussex, ceasing work by wind in 1969 when a stock broke.

Heathfield railway station was on the Cuckoo Line between Horam and Mayfield, serving the market town of Heathfield. It was opened in 1880 by London, Brighton and South Coast Railway on the line extension from Hailsham to Eridge. The station was closed for passenger trains in 1965 but freight trains continued to serve the goods yard until 1968.

Selwyns Wood is a 11-hectare (27-acre) nature reserve west of Heathfield in Sussex. It is managed by the Sussex Wildlife Trust.This reserve has woodland with extensive sweet chestnut, a stream in a narrow valley and an area of heather. There is a variety of breeding woodland birds, including willow warblers, chiffchaffs, nuthatches and marsh tits.

Ghani is the first Muslim woman to be elected as a Conservative member of Parliament. Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat will be subject to boundary changes, losing the town of Uckfield to the newly created constituency of East Grinstead and Uckfield. It will gain the smaller town of Heathfield in part compensation and will be renamed Sussex Weald, to be first contested at the next general election.

It was established in 1964 at a large country house in Cross-in-Hand, East Sussex previously known as Possingworth Park, which was renamed as Holy Cross Priory. It now provides supported living and a residential care home.

Waldron Cutting is a 0.2-hectare (0.49-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in East Sussex. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site exposes siltstones and fine sandstone of the Ashdown Formation, dating to the Early Cretaceous between 140 and 100 million years ago. It has one metre long fossils of Lycopodites plants in life position.This very small site is on both sides of a public road.
