Thomson Road Grand Prix circuit was a former street circuit at Thomson Road in Singapore. It hosted races from 1961 to 1973 for automobiles under Formula Libre and Australian Formula 2 rules as well as for motorcycles. During the initial years, the main races for motorcycles and cars were 60 laps long. This was eventually refined into two separate races – a preliminary 20 lap event followed by a 40 lap event. The first Singapore Grand Prix of 1961 was won by Ian Barnwell in an Aston Martin DB3S while the first Singapore Grand Prix of post-independence Singapore in 1966, which also ran to Formula Libre rules, saw Singaporean Lee Han Seng win in a Lotus 22. The final victory went to Australian Vern Schuppan in a March 722 in 1973.

Upper Seletar Reservoir (Malay: Takungan Air Upper Seletar, Chinese: 实里达蓄水池上段) is Singapore's third impounding reservoir, after MacRitchie Reservoir and Peirce Reservoir (now the Upper Peirce Reservoir and the Lower Peirce Reservoir). It is located within the Central Water Catchment area of Singapore island.

The Seletar Teleport (Chinese: 实里达卫星地面站; Malay: Stesen Satelit Telekomunikasi Seletar) is the third of four satellite earth station in Singapore after the Bukit Timah Satellite Earth Station in Bukit Timah, and the Sentosa Satellite Earth Station in Sentosa Island. It is located near Lower Seletar Reservoir in Yio Chu Kang, opposite Seletar Expressway (SLE). This station is managed and owned by SingTel.

Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium is a crematorium and columbarium complex located at Mandai Road in Mandai, Singapore. The complex is operated by the Government of Singapore under the National Environment Agency. It is one of two government crematoria in Singapore, the other being the Choa Chu Kang Columbarium. Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium is located not far from Yishun New Town. This complex is one of the final resting places for many Singaporeans because of the new technology and limited spaces to host cemeteries for the dead.

Seletar Bus Depot, formerly named Sungei Seletar Bus Depot, is the third bus depot to be built by the Land Transport Authority in Singapore. It is located off Yio Chu Kang Road and houses 29 services under the Seletar Bus Package. Completed in 2017, the new bus depot is able to accommodate about 500 buses and be equipped with facilities for daily bus operations, bus maintenance and a rest area for bus drivers. An access road (Yio Chu Kang Crescent) was built to serve the depot. The depot was officially opened by Minister for Transport Khaw Boon Wan on 27 January 2018.

Yishun Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Yishun, Singapore, within the vicinity of Khatib MRT station. The stadium has a capacity of 3,400.

Lower Seletar Reservoir (Chinese: 实里达蓄水池下段 ; Malay: Takungan Air Seletar Bawah) is a reservoir located in the northern part of Singapore, to the east of Yishun New Town. The reservoir has a surface area of 3.6 km², and a capacity of 9.5 million m³. The mean depth of the reservoir is 2 m, with a maximum depth of 5.5 m. The shoreline length is 14.3 km.

Lentor MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Thomson–East Coast line (TEL). It is situated in northern Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, underneath Lentor Drive. The station serves various residential estates such as Lentor Estate and Teacher's Estate, as well as landmarks such as Anderson Primary School and the Saint Thomas Orthodox Syrian Cathedral. First announced in August 2012 as part of the Thomson line (TSL), the station was constructed as part of TEL Phase 2 (TEL2) after plans for the TSL and the Eastern Region line (ERL) were merged. The station was built using the top-down method; the works had to avoid damaging the major telecommunication cables at the working site. Along with the TEL2 stations, Lentor opened on 28 August 2021 and features an Art-in-Transit artwork Interlude by Tan Guo-Liang.

Khatib MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North South line (NSL) in Yishun, Singapore. The station is located at the junction of Yishun Ring Road and Yishun Avenue 2, and is one of the two stations that currently serve Yishun New Town; the other being Yishun station. The section of tracks between this station and Yio Chu Kang station is the longest between any two stations on the MRT network.

Nee Soon South Single Member Constituency was a single member constituency (SMC) consisting of Yishun's Neighbourhood 8 (Khatib), part of Neighbourhood 7, near Springleaf MRT station, houses and condominiums along Kebun Baru and private residential areas along Sembawang Road (near Sembawang Army Camp). It was formed in 1988 after Nee Soon Constituency was split up into several SMCs. It was merged into Ang Mo Kio Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in 1997.
