Point Walter

Blackwall Reach (Jenalup in Noongar) is a section of the Swan River in Western Australia. Blackwall Reach was named after an area of the River Thames near Greenwich UK in 1896 by Commander L. S. Dawson RN, Admiralty Surveyor. The name originally referred to that part of the river, rather than either side, but this changed in the twentieth century when the riverside land on the eastern bank just south of Point Walter was specifically called Blackwall Reach. It contains limestone cliffs, and remnant vegetation adjacent to the river's edge.The location is a popular spot for cliff jumping and for rock climbing. However, since the creation and management of the clifftop reserve, signage advises against jumping. Non-adherence to this signage has resulted in fatalities.Due to its location close to the ocean, unusual fish catches have sometimes occurred.Prior to European settlement, the area was known to the Noongar indigenous people as Jenalup, a sacred place linked to the Dreaming stories.

Santa Maria College is an independent Roman Catholic single-sex primary and secondary day and boarding school for girls, located in Attadale, a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Freshwater Bay is a bay of the Swan River, in metropolitan Perth, Western Australia. It is about 5 km upstream from the mouth of the river at Fremantle and is overlooked by the suburbs of Dalkeith, Claremont, Mosman Park and Peppermint Grove. Freshwater Bay was named after Freshwater Bay and Freshwater, Isle of Wight by Henry Charles Prinsep (1844-1922), who had a riverside family holiday cottage there, The Chine.

Bicton is an affluent riverside suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south-west of the central business district. The suburb is mostly residential, and falls within the City of Melville local government area. Bicton borders the Swan River to the north, with the northern third of the suburb taken up by a Class-A reserve at Point Walter. Originally settled in the 1830s, when a large vineyard was established, Bicton was mainly rural until the subdivision of the former Bicton Racecourse, beginning in 1919. Further subdivisions of the Castle Hill area in 1921 established the suburb as a middle-class area of Fremantle. Bicton underwent further expansion after the conclusion of World War II. Now with a large demographic of business owners and high net worth individuals, Bicton is considered one of the most affluent riverside suburbs in Perth.

The Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club is a yacht club situated in Freshwater Bay on the Swan River in Peppermint Grove, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1896 by a group of friends including Aubrey Sherwood and Edward Keane, whose residence is now the RFBYC clubhouse. It is the second yacht club in Perth to be granted the royal charter, and it has established a strong but friendly rivalry with the other royal club, Royal Perth Yacht Club.Each year the fleets of the two Royal clubs race, with the prize 'The Governor's Cup' being presented by the Governor of Western Australia as the Queen's representative and patron of the royal clubs. The club holds functions weekly in both the Athol Hobbs Room and Main Function and Dining Room, with a bar open 7 days of the week to members.

Dalkeith is an affluent suburb of Perth, Western Australia within the City of Nedlands. The suburb is surrounded on three sides by the Swan River.

Bunbury is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Western Australia. The district, taking in the city of Bunbury, has existed continuously since 1890, being one of the original 30 seats contested at the 1890 general election. From 1974 to 2005 the seat was always held by the party of government, making it an effective bellwether. Two early Premiers of Western Australia, Sir John Forrest and Sir Newton Moore, held Bunbury during their time in office. However, after Moore's retirement in 1911, another member for Bunbury was not appointed to a cabinet post until 2008, when John Castrilli became Minister for Local Government under Colin Barnett.

Bicton Baths is a popular swimming location on the Swan River in Bicton, Western Australia, commonly used by for prawn hunting, diving training, swimming, sport, leisure and annual events. Formally known as Bicton River Jetty and as Jetty 1248, it is known to the local Aboriginal people, the Whadjuk Noongar people, as Kwoppa Kepa, meaning "beautiful water" in Noongar. Bicton Baths were initiated by the local Melville Amateur Swimming Club, a group who had previously utilised the jetty of the quarantine station as a platform. In 1946 the Melville Water Polo Club was founded at the baths, a move which resulted in the Bicton Pool being built in 1979. The baths themselves consist of a wooden U-shaped jetty which contains exit ladders. Bicton Baths is located in a tidal gorge and is heavily influenced by ocean water inflow. It contains a variety of wildlife, including algae, anemones, crabs, dolphins, fish, nudibranchs, shrimp, sponges and starfish. chicken

Iona Presentation College is an independent Catholic early learning, primary and secondary school. It is located in Mosman Park, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Founded in 1907 by the Presentation Sisters, Iona enrolled 1220 students in 2020, from early learning (3-year-old students) to Year 12, of whom one percent identified as Indigenous Australians and twelve percent were from a language background other than English. Iona is co-educational in the early learning and primary school years, and is an all-girls school from Year 7- through to Year 12. The college is a member of Catholic Education Western Australia, the Independent Girls' Schools Sports Association (IGSSA), the Alliance of Girls' Schools Australia, and the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia. The principal is Robyn Miller.

In addition, the school provides co-educational early learning education to both girls and boys.

Sunset Hospital is a former hospital and aged care facility located in Dalkeith, Western Australia. Built in 1906 as the Claremont Old Men's Home, it once housed up to 750 men. The design was based on a military model, made from large stone blocks quarried from local limestone with accommodation for 400 men. It included an infirmary and a hospital.
