Valluvar Kottam (Tamil: வள்ளுவர் கோட்டம்) is a monument in Chennai, dedicated to the classical Tamil poet philosopher Valluvar. It is the city’s biggest Tamil cultural centre.

Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu Tennis Stadium, commonly known as SDAT Stadium, sometimes also called Nungambakkam Tennis Stadium, is located in Nungambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and played host for the Chennai Open ATP Tennis championships held in the first week of January from 1996 to 2017. The stadium was built in 1995 by the Government of Tamil Nadu on the occasion of South Asian Federation Games held in Chennai that year. The stadium has been the venue for Indian Open tennis tournament annually since 1997. The stadium witnessed some dramatic scenes in 1998 when legends like Boris Becker and Patrick Rafter took part in the then named Goldflake Open. Rafter went on to win the tournament. The stadium also witnessed the birth of the celebrated Indian doubles pair of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi who won the first three editions of the Goldflake Open. The complex has five hard courts including the floodlit centre court which has a seating capacity of about 5,800. The third round Davis Cup tie in Asia/Oceania Group I between India and Australia took place at the SDAT Tennis Stadium in May 2009. The stadium again hosted a Davis Cup tie from 17–19 September 2010. The India Davis Cup team defeated the Brazil Davis Cup team in the 2010 Davis Cup World Group Play-offs to advance to the 2011 Davis Cup World Group.

The Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital is a 200-bed exclusive pediatric care hospital situated in Nungambakkam, Chennai, India. The hospital was founded in April, 1978 as the CHILDS Trust Hospital by late Dr MS Ramakrishnan. In October 1999, the management was taken over by the Kanchi Mutt and was renamed as the Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital. The hospital is a tertiary care referral hospital and is accredited by the NABH.[1] It was named as the best pediatric care hospital in the country by the American magazine Newsweek in 2021.

Mahalingapuram Ayyappan Temple or Mahalingapuram Ayyappan - Guruvayurappan Temples is an Ayyappan Temple located at Mahalingapuram in the neighbourhood of Nungambakkam in Chennai district in the state of Tamil Nadu in the peninsular India with the geographical coordinates of 13°03′23.0″N 80°13′54.5″E (i.e., 13.056400°N, 80.231800°E) and at an altitude of about 34 m above the mean sea level. This temple complex contains Ayyappan temple and Guruvayurappan temple adjacent to each other. And is built based on Kerala Architecture. Swamy Ayyappan appears to devotees as in a sitting posture on Srichakra with the symbol of chinmuthra, the height being about 2 ft. The temple is constructed in the year 1974. The Ayyappan devotees who wish to visit Sabarimala Temple in Kerala follow heritage fasting procedures for 41 days from the first day of Tamil month Karthigai. In this manner, the devotees from Mahalingapuram and its surrounding areas start the procedures after worshipping Ayyappan in this Mahalingapuram Ayyappan temple.Every Ayyappan Temple is noted with the word Thaththuvamasi (തത്ത്വമസി in Malayalam). The quote means 'You are what you seek'. That is, it is the essence that we must realize that the divinity is filled within everyone. Each and every Ayyappan temple is built with a model of a structure with 18 steps. Mahalingapuram Ayyappan Temple also has this structure and the 18 steps imply the following: Birth is impermanent. Kodambakkam is an upcoming underground metro station on the East-West Corridor of the Orange Line of Chennai Metro in Chennai, India. This metro station will be among the 30 stations of Corridor IV and 12 underground stations along Corridor IV of the Chennai Metro, Poonamallee Bypass–Lighthouse stretch. This metro station is a key station in Orange Line having Chennai Suburban Railway station connectivity. It is slated to be operational by March 2027 along with remaining underground stations in orange line till Light house.

Kodambakkam Bridge is a road overbridge in the city of Chennai, India. Opened in 1965, it is one of the oldest overbridges in the city. The bridge has a length of 623 meters.

It serves the neighbourhood of Kodambakkam, Vadapalani, and Ashok Nagar. The railway station was already in existence when the Chennai Egmore-Kanchipuram suburban railway was opened in 1911.

Loyola College, Chennai is a private Catholic higher education institution run by the Chennai Province of the Society of Jesus in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded in 1925 by the French Jesuit priest, Rev Fr Francis Bertram, SJ along with other European Jesuits. It is an autonomous Jesuit college affiliated with the University of Madras. Loyola commerce association celebrated its 75th year in 2019. According to NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) 2020 the college is ranked 6th.
