The town of Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, England was administered as a Local Government District from 1891 to 1894 and an Urban District from 1894 to 1965.

Bedfordshire Greensand Ridge is an escarpment which runs through Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire in the south and east of England. A pathway runs along the ridge from Leighton Buzzard to Gamlingay. In 2009, the Greensand Ridge Local Action Group was formed to help enhance and develop the Greensand Ridge area. The Group bid for funding from the Rural Development Programme for England and were successful. Since 2009, the Greensand Ridge Rural Development Programme, delivered by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, has awarded grants to businesses and organisations which meet their objectives.

The Greensand Ridge Walk is a long-distance walk of 40 miles (64 km) that traverses the county of Bedfordshire in England, with brief sections in the neighbouring counties of Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire. Its southern endpoint is at Leighton Buzzard and the route runs north-east to finish at Gamlingay. As can be inferred from the name, the walk follows the Bedfordshire Greensand Ridge (not to be confused with the Greensand Way, the greensand ridge that can be found in Surrey, Sussex and Kent). The waymarker for the route employs a silhouette of the muntjac, a common sight in the vicinity of the village of Woburn, through which the walk passes.

The Leighton Buzzard Light Railway (LBLR) is a light railway in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, England. It operates on 2 ft (610 mm) narrow-gauge track and is just under 3 miles (4.8 km) long. The line was built after the First World War to serve sand quarries north of the town. In the late 1960s the quarries switched to road transport and the railway was taken over by volunteers, who now run the line as a heritage railway.

Leedon is a former hamlet in Bedfordshire, England, which is now part of Leighton Buzzard town. Originally, Leedon was a small rural settlement and was part of the Eggington civil parish. However, the expansion of Leighton Buzzard eastwards led to Leedon being encompassed in the wider Leighton-Linslade urban area. Today, Leedon represents the eastern part of Leighton Buzzard town. At the 2011 Census the population of the hamlet was included in the civil parish of Leighton-Linslade

Grovebury Priory, also known as La Grave or Grava was a priory in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England. It was established in 1164 and disestablished in 1414.

Page's Park railway station is a railway station serving the southern area of Leighton Buzzard. Page's Park is the terminus of the heritage Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway. At present the station consists of two platforms, an engine shed and a station building housing the booking office, shop and community room. The locomotive shed can be viewed by the public on certain days and a footpath leads from the platform to the yard so the public can view locos being prepared.
