Leighton-Linslade Urban District

Leighton–Linslade is a civil parish in the district of Central Bedfordshire in Bedfordshire, England, with a population of 37,469 at the 2011 Census.

All Saints Church, Leighton Buzzard, is the fine Early English parish church for the town of Leighton Buzzard in the English county of Bedfordshire.

The Greensand Ridge Walk is a long-distance walk of 40 miles (64 km) that traverses the county of Bedfordshire in England, with brief sections in the neighbouring counties of Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire. Its southern endpoint is at Leighton Buzzard and the route runs north-east to finish at Gamlingay. As can be inferred from the name, the walk follows the Bedfordshire Greensand Ridge (not to be confused with the Greensand Way, the greensand ridge that can be found in Surrey, Sussex and Kent). The waymarker for the route employs a silhouette of the muntjac, a common sight in the vicinity of the village of Woburn, through which the walk passes.

Leighton Buzzard ( LAY-tən BUZ-ərd) is a market town in Bedfordshire, England, in the southwest of the county and close to the Buckinghamshire border. It lies between Aylesbury, Tring, Luton/Dunstable and Milton Keynes, near the Chiltern Hills. It is 36 miles (58 km) northwest of Central London and linked to the capital by the Grand Union Canal and the West Coast Main Line. The built-up area extends on either side of the River Ouzel (here about 2 metres wide) to include its historically separate neighbour Linslade, and is administered by Leighton-Linslade Town Council.

The Old Town Hall is a municipal building in the Market Square, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England. The town hall, which is currently used as a restaurant, is a Grade II listed building.

Bedfordshire Greensand Ridge is an escarpment which runs through Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire in the south and east of England. A pathway runs along the ridge from Leighton Buzzard to Gamlingay. In 2009, the Greensand Ridge Local Action Group was formed to help enhance and develop the Greensand Ridge area. The Group bid for funding from the Rural Development Programme for England and were successful. Since 2009, the Greensand Ridge Rural Development Programme, delivered by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, has awarded grants to businesses and organisations which meet their objectives.

Leighton Town Football Club are an English football club located in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. They were established in 1885. The club plays home games at Bell Close and currently play in the Southern League Division One Central.

Leighton Buzzard railway station serves the towns of Leighton Buzzard and Linslade in the county of Bedfordshire and nearby areas of Buckinghamshire. Actually situated in Linslade, the station is 40 miles (64 km) north west of London Euston and is served by London Northwestern Railway services on the West Coast Main Line. Until the 1960s the station was the start of a branch to Dunstable and Luton, with a junction just north of the present station. The station has four platforms. Platforms 1 & 2 serve the fast lines and are used by Avanti West Coast services running non-stop to/from London Euston. Platforms 3 & 4 are served by slower London Northwestern railway services to/from London Euston. Page's Park railway station, terminus for the Leighton Buzzard Light Railway (a narrow gauge heritage railway), is on the opposite side of the town.

Cedars Upper School is an upper school and sixth form with academy status, located in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England. Former students of the school are known as Old Cedarians.

Linslade is a town in the civil parish of Leighton-Linslade, in the Central Bedfordshire unitary authority area of Bedfordshire, England. It borders the town of Leighton Buzzard. Linslade was transferred from Buckinghamshire in 1965. Before then, it was a separate urban district. It remained a part of the Diocese of Oxford until 2008 when it joined Leighton Buzzard in the Diocese of St Albans.
