Chatfield Trail

Chatfield Hollow State Park is a public recreation area occupying 412 acres (167 ha) that lie adjacent to Cockaponset State Forest in the town of Killingworth, Connecticut. The state park offers hiking trails, a swimming beach, trout fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and picnicking areas. Park attractions include 6.67-acre (2.70 ha) Schreeder Pond, Indian caves, historic sites, a restored water wheel, and a reproduction covered bridge. The park is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Oak Lodge is a historic recreational building, located on the west side of Schreeder Pond in Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth, Connecticut. Built in 1937, it is one of Connecticut's finest examples of construction by crews of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). It, along with Schreeder Pond and other CCC-built park features, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Killingworth is a town in Middlesex County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region. The population was 6,174 at the 2020 United States Census.

The Parmelee House is a historic house at 4 Beckwith Road in Killingworth, Connecticut. It was built about 1770 for a member of one of the area's founding families, and is architecturally important as an example of a farm outbuilding converted to a residence during the 18th century. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Deer Lake is a dammed lake in Killingworth, Connecticut, United States.It was the site of the BSA camp Deer Lake Scout Reservation operated by the Connecticut Yankee Council and its predecessors. In 2022 the site was sold to Pathfinders, Inc., a non-profit organization which intends to continue to operate the property as a camp.

Bridge No. 1132 is an open-spandrel concrete arch bridge carrying the two-lane Connecticut Route 80 across the Hammonasset River, between Killingworth and Madison, Connecticut. Built in 1934, it is one of a small number of open-spandrel concrete bridges in the state, and was noted for its aesthetics at the time of its construction. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church is an historic church building at 50 Emmanuel Church Road in Killingworth, Connecticut, United States.

The Hammonasset Paper Mill Site is a historic industrial archaeological site off Green Hill Road in Killingworth and Madison, Connecticut. The site contains the remains of a paper mill built in 1865 and operated until 1890. The site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996, is owned by a local land trust, and is accessible by hiking trails.The site has components located on either side of the Hammonasset River, which provided power for the mill's operation and serves as the town boundary between Madison and Killingworth. Surviving elements of the mill complex include the partial remains of a stone dam on the east side, and the stone mill foundation and raceways on the west side. The mill was built about 1890, and produced strawboard, a material used for boxes prior to the introduction of wood pulp-based paper. This endeavour lasted until 1890, and was followed for sometime by a lumber mill.

Hidden Lake is one of five villages located within the town of Haddam, Connecticut. It is governed by the bylaws of the Hidden Lake Association. Hidden Lake is located on the Haddam USGS quad topological map. The latitude and longitude coordinates for the lake are 41.4220, -72.5687 and the altitude is 515 feet (157 meters).

The Hammonasset School was a progressive, college preparatory, coeducational day school located in Madison, Connecticut. Founded in 1971 by a group including Anna Hale Bowditch and Mr. & Mrs. Walter Macguire, Hammonasset was noted for its visual and performing arts programs. Operating for 18 academic years, Hammonasset closed its doors in 1991, succumbing to the early 1990s recession and a declining teenage population. The campus was subsequently purchased by the Town of Madison and converted to the Madison Town Campus, which houses the town’s offices as well as recreational facilities. All of the original buildings, although renovated to varying degrees, still stand today.

The William Stevens House is a historic house at 131 Cow Hill Road in Clinton, Connecticut. Built near the start of the 18th century, it is one of Clinton's oldest surviving buildings, which is especially noted for its unusual floorplan. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Jonathan Murray House is a historic house at 76 Scotland Road in Madison, Connecticut. Built about 1690, it is one of a handful of 17th-century houses surviving in the state. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
