Rowley Regis Hospital

Rowley Regis ( ROW-lee REE-jis) is a town and former municipal borough in Sandwell in the county of the West Midlands, England. It forms part of the area immediately west of Birmingham known as the Black Country and encompasses the three Sandwell council wards of Blackheath, Cradley Heath and Old Hill, and Rowley. At the 2011 census, the combined population of these wards was 50,257.

Old Hill High Street railway station was a station on the former Great Western Railway's Bumble Hole Line between Blowers Green and Old Hill. It was the second of the two stations in Old Hill, and its location in reference to the town centre was significantly more convenient than the station which exists today. It opened in 1905 and closed in 1964.

Ormiston Forge Academy (formerly Heathfield Foundation Technology College and Heathfield High School) is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in the Old Hill area of Cradley Heath, West Midlands, England.Heathfield High School was built in the 1970s when two local schools Cradley Heath Secondary School, in the Lomey Town area of Cradley Heath, and Macefield Secondary School, in Old Hill, merged. The name of the school was coined from the names of the two schools. The new building programme of 2007 was completed, with a new hair and beauty salon, seminar rooms, catering rooms and a new sixth form study centre. As of 2011, the school became an academy sponsored by the Ormiston Academies Trust. The school was then renamed Ormiston Forge Academy.Today, the school serves pupils living in the Cradley Heath, Old Hill and Rowley Regis areas of Sandwell. The school has a mountain centre located in Dinas Mawddwy, Gwynedd, North Wales. The building, previously an old school, was converted into accommodation for students when taking part in environmental studies, or some other rural activity. The original mountain centre was located in Llanbrynmair, Powys, Mid-Wales. This was a converted church building.

Old Hill is an area of Rowley Regis in the metropolitan borough of Sandwell in the West Midlands, England, situated around 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Halesowen and 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south of Dudley. Initially a separate village it is now part of the much larger West Midlands conurbation.

The Rowley Hills are a range of hills in the West Midlands county in England. The range comprises Turner's Hill, Bury Hill, Portway Hill and Darby's Hill. The ridge forms part of the east/west watershed between the River Severn and the River Trent, with rainfall on the western side going to the Bristol Channel via the Severn, and rainfall on the eastern side ending up in the North Sea via the Trent. The hills are situated east of the town of Dudley in Rowley Regis, on the border between the metropolitan boroughs of Dudley and Sandwell. The largest hill, Turner's Hill, is the highest point in the West Midlands county, with an altitude of 269 metres (883 ft) above sea level. Views from the summit include the Clee Hills, Clent Hills, Cannock Chase, and much of Birmingham and the Black Country. The height has also led to the construction of two radio transmission towers on the summit. Portway Hill is the site of a nature reserve of the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country.Rowley Rag, a form of Dolerite notably used to make kerbstones, was formerly quarried from the Rowley Hills.Over the centuries that the hills have been inhabited there have been four churches located there, all named St. Giles, in the village of Rowley.

Turners Hill Transmitter refers to a pair of free-standing radio and television towers on Turners Hill, on the border of Dudley and Rowley Regis in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, both localities being in the West Midlands of England. They are approximately 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west of Oldbury.One is a made from lattice steel, the other, "Turners Hill 2" with a height of 60.96 metres (200 ft), is made of concrete, topped by a steel antenna.They carry multiplexes 11A, 11B, 11C, 11D and 12B.It also broadcasts Free Radio Black Country & Shropshire on 97.2 FM. A local landmark, the masts are visible from the nearby M5 motorway and M6 motorway, and from as far afield as Barr Beacon.

Darby End Halt was a station on the former Great Western Railway's Bumble Hole Line between Blowers Green and Old Hill. It opened in 1905 and closed in 1964, as part of the Beeching Axe.

Turners Hill is the highest hill in the county of West Midlands, United Kingdom at 271 metres (889 ft) above sea level. The hill is in the Rowley Hills range, situated in Rowley Regis, near the boundary with Dudley. The hill can be seen from many miles away, and offers good views to Clent Hills, Kinver Edge, Shatterford Hill, Barr Beacon and on a clear day to the Shropshire and Malvern Hills. There are good views of the hill from the M5 Motorway between Junctions 1 and 2.

Blackheath is a town and ward in the Rowley Regis area of the Sandwell Metropolitan Borough, in the county of West Midlands, England.

Haden Hill Park is at Haden Hill, between Halesowen and Old Hill in the West Midlands, England, on the southern edge of the Black Country. Within its grounds are the sixteenth and seventeenth century Haden Hall (also known as Haden Hill Old Hall), the Victorian Haden Hill House and Corngreaves Nature Reserve. The estate, of which the Park was a central part, was built up by the Haden family over many hundreds of years, before passing to the Barrs family by marriage in 1876. In 1877 it passed to George Alfred Haden Haden-Best (1839–1921) who built Haden Hill House and developed the parkland. On his death in 1921, it was bequeathed to his nephews, the Bassano brothers, who offered it for sale. It was bought by Rowley Regis Borough Council (later succeeded by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council) following a public subscription in 1922 and became a public facility. A major restoration programme over the period 2000–2007 was largely funded by the National Lottery. The Park has been given a Green Flag Award every year since 2004 and also has been a Green Heritage Site winner. In addition, the park won the Black Country Hotel and Tourism Awards ('Small Visitor Attraction' category) in 2008. Sandwell Council lists Haden Hill Park as one of the borough's nine "flagship parks".

St Michael's Church of England High School is a coeducational Church of England secondary school located in Rowley Regis, West Midlands, England. It was built during the 1960s and relocated from there to its current site on Curral Road in May 2011. The school takes its name from St Michael's Church, situated some two miles away in the township of Langley. Notable pupils include Carlton Palmer former English professional football player who played as a midfielder, most notably for Sheffield Wednesday. It has been the only school in Rowley Regis since the closure of Britannia High School in 2002.
