Athens Christian School

Athens Technical College ("Athens Tech") is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) in Athens, Georgia. It was founded in 1958 as Athens Area Vocational-Technical School. The school was renamed Athens Area Technical Institute in 1987 and took its current name in 2000. It offers certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in business, health, technical, and manufacturing-related fields. The school's administrative offices and main campus are located in Athens, with satellite campuses located in Elberton, and Monroe, Georgia. A campus in Greensboro was closed in 2023. In addition, the school also has several educational centers in the school's surrounding ten-county service area.

Gospel Pilgrim Cemetery was founded in 1882 as a cemetery for African Americans in the 216th general militia district, Athens, Georgia area. Nine acres in size, it contains an estimated 3,500, mostly unmarked, graves.The Gospel Pilgrim Society founded the cemetery and was "a social and charitable burial insurance organization". The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.In 2008, the Georgia Historical Society, along with the East Athens Development Corporation, Inc., erected a Georgia Historical Marker at Gospel Pilgrim Cemetery. The marker is located at 4th Street, north of Evelyn C. Neely Drive in Athens.

Chicopee-Dudley is a primarily residential neighborhood in Athens, Georgia, located east of the city's Downtown. The neighborhood, as officially defined, straddles the North Oconee River between Third Street and Oconee Street; however, the majority of the neighborhood's territory, landmarks, and population exist to the east of the river. The neighborhood's name acknowledges the names of two of the most important landmarks in the area: the Chicopee building, a former mill now housing offices of the University of Georgia, and Dudley Park, serving as a trailhead for the North Oconee River Greenway and, eventually, Athens' Rails-to-Trails project. In addition to recreational space and property owned by the university, Chicopee-Dudley has a mix of privately owned houses, multi-family apartment buildings, public housing, churches, and limited commercial development that is concentrated along Oconee/Oak Street and East Broad Street. Recently, the neighborhood has experienced a significant amount of infill gentrification, a process that has reshaped the area's demographics. Chicopee-Dudley has an active neighborhood organization that is officially recognized by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County; membership includes owners and occupants of the property contained within the neighborhood's boundary. The Chicopee-Dudley Neighborhood Association conducts clean-up events, hosts informal social functions, and works with local elected officials and staff. The group also maintains an electronic communication resource hosted by Google Groups.

Classic Center Arena is an indoor arena under-construction in Athens, Georgia. It is part of the Classic Center complex and is intended as an upgrade to the 440 Pavilion, a much smaller 2,000-seat arena. It will become the new home of the UGA Ice Dawgs of the College Hockey South conference and a ECHL expansion team. It will have a capacity of 8,500. Opening is planned for Spring 2024. It is owned by the Unified Government of Athens Clarke County.

The Classic Center is a convention center in Athens, Georgia, United States. It was opened in 1995. Located within is Akins Ford Arena at The Classic Center, a large event hall that also serves as a 2,000-seat arena. The arena is home to the UGA Ice Dawgs hockey team and formerly the Peach State Cats arena football team. The Classic Center also contains a 2,122-seat theatre.

The Ware–Lyndon House is a historic house located at 211 Hoyt Street in Athens, Georgia, at the end of Jackson Street. Built circa 1850, the house is two stories and exhibits an Italianate style. Edward R. Ware, its original owner, sold the property to Edward S. Lyndon in 1880. In 1939, the city of Athens purchased the home and a major restoration was made in 1960. In 1976, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is the only surviving structure from the Lickskillet neighborhood of Athens, one of the most fashionable districts of its time.

The Clarke County Courthouse in Athens, Georgia is a historic courthouse serving Clarke County which was built in 1914. It is part of the Downtown Athens Historic District.

The Franklin House is a three-story brick historic building located at 464-480 East Broad Street, in Athens, Georgia. It was built in three phases between 1845 and 1860. Originally a mercantile building with an antebellum hotel on the upper floors, from 1865 to 1972 it was a hardware store. In the 1970s it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and in the 1980s it was restored and turned into office space and apartments.
