The Petersberg, at 250.4 m above sea level (NN), is the highest point in the district of Saalekreis in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. Its name is derived from St. Peter's Church, which is on the hill. Until the 14th century the Petersberg was known as the Lauterberg.

Kütten is a district in the municipality Petersberg, in the Saalekreis district of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Until the formation of a unified municipality of Petersberg on 1 January 2010, Kütten was an independent village in the administrative community of Götschetal-Petersberg. The last mayor of Kütten, until 2010, was Heinz Pohl.

Götschetal was a short-lived municipality in the district Saalekreis, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was created in July 2006 by the merger of the former municipalities Wallwitz, Gutenberg, Nehlitz, Sennewitz and Teicha. On 1 January 2010, it was absorbed into the municipality Petersberg.

Götschetal-Petersberg

Götschetal-Petersberg was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") in the Saalekreis district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was situated north of Halle (Saale). The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Götschetal. It was disbanded in January 2010.
