Aurora Metro Center station is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) light rail station on the R Line in Aurora, Colorado. The station is located at Centrepoint Drive and Sable Boulevard and has a 145-stall park-and-ride lot. The station is between the Town Center at Aurora shopping center and the Aurora Municipal Center (city hall, police headquarters, central library, and history museum). The station opened on February 24, 2017, along with the rest of the R Line. The former Centrepoint and Sable bus transfer center was renamed to Aurora Metro Center station when the light rail opened.

The Town Center at Aurora (formerly known as Aurora Mall) is an enclosed, two-level regional shopping center located in Aurora, Colorado, and covers a leasable area over 1 million square feet. It lies at the center of the commercial and retail district in the area, adjacent to Aurora City Square, Aurora City Place, and Aurora Park Shopping Center, a strip mall. The commercial district itself is located in central Aurora, and the mall's primary trade area includes a mostly suburban, middle-income demographic. Anchor stores and major tenants at the mall are Dillard's (originally The Denver, became May-D&F in 1987, then Foley's in 1993), Macy's (originally May-D&F, became May-D&F Men's in 1987, then Foley's Men's in 1993, then a full-line Foley's in 2005), JCPenney, and Century Theatres with one vacant anchor last occupied by Sears.

The Aurora Public Library in Aurora, Colorado is a multi-branch library district serving the Aurora suburb of Denver, Colorado. It complements Denver Public Library, which serves the Denver city and county, as well as the Arapahoe Library District, which serves Arapahoe County. The Aurora Public Library predates its county library district, Arapahoe, by more than thirty years, while serving the more niche population of Aurora.

Gateway High School is a public high school in Aurora, Colorado, United States. It is one of five high schools in Aurora Public Schools, and the school offers a variety of Advanced Placement courses. Gateway's student newspaper is The Gateway Medallion and the yearbook is The Olympiad.

The Gully Homestead is a former homestead located at 200 S. Chambers Road in Aurora, Colorado. Thomas Gully, his wife Temperance, and their four children came to Colorado in 1862. Thomas, an Irish immigrant, moved to the Colorado Territory to work in the mines, but decided to try his hand at farming shortly after. The Gullys claimed 11,000 acres near the Toll Gate Creek and built a small log home. It operated as a ranch by his descendants until the 1950s. The home also served as a community center and a polling place. The farm house, believed to be the oldest home in Aurora, consists of two parts; the kitchen (ca. 1866), and the main house, believed to be built in 1870. The two sections are connected. The home sat vacant from the early 1950s until 1978. It was determined to be sitting in a floodplain. The developer who owned the house donated it to the city with the stipulation the house would be moved. It was relocated to its current site, in the DeLaney Farm Historic District, along with a chicken coop in 1982, and restored the home in 1983. The City of Aurora established the area as a park. The house came into ownership by the city of Aurora in 1978. The City restored the home and it is open for tours and school trips. Several structures stand on the property, including the 1902 Round Barn, a 1949 shed, a privy and the Delaney house, ca. 1890. The Coal Creek School House (1920) sits on the edge of the site.

2nd Avenue & Abilene station (sometimes stylized as 2nd Ave•Abilene) is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) light rail station on the R Line in Aurora, Colorado. The station is located along Interstate 225 at 2nd Avenue and has a 242-stall park-and-ride lot.The station opened on February 24, 2017, along with the rest of the R Line.

The Delaney Barn is the barn of a former homestead located at 170 S. Chambers Road in Aurora, Colorado. It seems to be the only historic round barn surviving in Colorado today. Horses, dairy cattle and other livestock were raised on this farm. It serves as an important piece of early twentieth century architecture. Now part of the 160 acre DeLaney Historic District with restored farm buildings. It was built c.1900.

Ecotech Institute was a private for-profit college in Aurora, Colorado. It offered classes and certificates focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency. The first class graduated in June 2012 with 42 students with subsequent classes growing larger. The school closed in December 2018.

Florida station is an RTD light rail station in Aurora, Colorado, United States. The station, located at the intersection of East Florida Avenue and South Abilene Street, is served by the H Line and R Line. A pedestrian bridge connects the station platform on the east side of I-225 with The Medical Center of Aurora and related medical offices as well as the residential neighborhood on the west side of I-225. During planning and construction, RTD designated the station "Medical Center of Aurora – Florida"; the reference to the hospital was dropped prior to the station's opening on February 24, 2017. This is the southern terminus of the H line, trains use a pocket track just north of the station to reverse directions.

The Medical Center of Aurora ("TMCA") serves Aurora, Colorado and the eastern Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Area (metro area) with four separate campuses providing a wide range of health care services. It was founded in 1974; it now employs more than 1,200 people and is part of HealthONE, the largest health care system in the metro area. Currently, there are more than 450 doctors on staff and 346 beds.

Colorado Community Church is an interdenominational, multi-cultural church located in Aurora, Colorado. The church is pastored by Rev. Robert Gelinas and was ranked by Outreach Magazine as the 16th fastest-growing church in the United States in 2023.
