The Hospital Chapel of St Mary the Virgin and St Thomas of Canterbury, Ilford, also known as Ilford Hospital Chapel is on Ilford Hill in Ilford. It is an ancient charitable foundation dating from about 1140, and is the oldest building in the London Borough of Redbridge. Since 1954 it has been protected as a Grade II* listed building under UK legislation.

It was owned by The Mall Fund for a period of time but has been sold and changed its name to Exchange Ilford in late 2010 or early 2011. The Alders Brook is a small tributary of the River Roding. The name derives from Middle English meaning "brook where alders grow" and is first recorded in 1535; previously it was the site of a farmstead known as Nakethalle or Nagethalle, literally "naked hall", alluding not to a building but to an exposed or unoccupied enclosure. It now marks part of the boundary between the London Boroughs of Newham and Redbridge, with the west bank in the parish of Little Ilford and the east bank in that of Great Ilford. It gave its name to the Aldersbrook area, the Manor of Aldersbrook and the Aldersbrook Estate.

Ursuline Academy Ilford is a Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form for girls in Ilford, London, England.The school was established by the Ursulines as Ilford Ursuline High School in 1903. It converted to academy status in 2011 and is administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brentwood.

St Alban's Church, Ilford, is a Church of England church and parish in Ilford, part of the London Borough of Redbridge. It began as a temporary building, replaced by a permanent Neo-Gothic redbrick one on Albert Road built between 1900 and 1906. Both of these were chapels of ease to St Clement's Church, Ilford until the formation of a separate parish of St Alban's in 1958 It is now a Forward in Faith parishSt. Alban's Singers, a choir for mixed voices (SATB), is based in the church.

Cranbrook (formally Cranbrook College) was an independent co-educational school, located in Ilford, Greater London, England. The Cognita Group owned and operated the school until its closure in 2016. At that time the school covered the full range of academic years from Nursery to Year 11. Previously, in 2011, Cranbrook had merged with Glenarm College, another Cognita school in Ilford.

St Clement's Church, Ilford was a Church of England church on Park Avenue in Ilford in the London Borough of Redbridge. It was built between 1889 and 1896. The land for the building was donated by Mrs Clement Ingleby of Valentines and the building designed by Cutts Brothers. Initially a chapel of ease to St Mary's Church, Ilford, it replaced it as the parish's main church in 1902. Its vicar was appointed by All Souls College, Oxford. It was demolished in 1977.For four and a half years from 1912, the church's curate was William Henry Jackson, who went on to be a missionary in Burma (now Myanmar) and invented Burmese Braille.
