Hovenring

Zeelst is a former village in the Dutch province of North Brabant, now a neighbourhood of Veldhoven. Zeelst was a separate municipality until 1921, when it became part of Veldhoven.

Veldhoven (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈvɛltˌɦoːvə(n)] (listen)) is a municipality and town on the Gender in the southern Netherlands, just southwest of Eindhoven.

De Adriaan (English: The Adriaan) is a windmill located on the Windmolen 17 in Meerveldhoven, a neighbourhood of Veldhoven, North Brabant, Netherlands. Built in 1906 on an artificial hill, the windmill functioned as gristmill. The mill was built as a tower mill and its sails have a span of 26.20 meters. The mill is a national monument (nr 37040) since 1 October 1969.

Strijp is a former town in the Dutch province of North Brabant, now a borough of Eindhoven. Strijp was a separate municipality until 1920, when it became part of Eindhoven. The Philips Stadion, home of football team PSV Eindhoven is based in Strijp. The stadium has a capacity of around 35,000. Strijp-S, the repurposed buildings of the former Philips factory complex, is located within Strijp.

The Beatrix Canal (Dutch: Beatrixkanaal) is an 8.4 km long canal in the southern Netherlands. It was constructed to provide the city of Eindhoven with access to the Wilhelmina Canal. In order to be able to regulate the level of the Gender and Dommel streams, which regularly threatened to flood Eindhoven's inner city, an additional Discharge Canal (Afwateringskanaal), which is not open to navigation, was dug to connect the Beatrix Canal and the Dommel stream. Into this branch, the Gender now discharges. Upon completion, the canal was named in honour of the newborn eldest daughter of the heiress apparent to the Dutch throne, Princess Beatrix.

Heikant is a neighbourhood in the municipality of Veldhoven, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. With a population of over 6700 inhabitants, it is the largest neighbourhood in Veldhoven. Heikant contains a small shopping centre and a church. The Sint-Maartenchurch was built in 1990. Heikant was constructed between 1979 and 1989. The first houses were officially completed on February 21, 1980. A substantial part of the former hamlet Het Heike had to be demolished to make room for the new neighbourhood. Seven farmhouses were demolished in 1985. One of them was the farmhouse Clarissenhoef, which originated from the 14th century. Five farmhouses of the hamlet Het Heike remained and were integrated into the new neighbourhood.

The Evoluon is a conference centre and former science museum erected by the electronics and electrical company Philips at Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 1966. Since its construction, it has become a landmark and a symbol for the city. The building is unique due to its very futuristic design, resembling a landed flying saucer. It was designed by architects Leo de Bever and Louis Christiaan Kalff, while the exhibition it housed was conceived by James Gardner. De Bever and Kalff only got two demands for the design of the building, it had to be "spectacular" and it had to be possible to hold exhibitions in the building.Its concrete dome is 77 metres (253 ft) in diameter and is held in place by 169 kilometres (105 mi) of reinforcing steel bars. In the 1960s and 1970s the Evoluon attracted large visitor numbers, since its interactive exhibitions were a new and unique concept in the Netherlands at that time. But when competing science museums opened in other cities, the number of visitors began to decline. After several years of losing money, the original museum closed down in 1989 and the Evoluon was converted into a conference centre, opening in 1998. In the UK the Evoluon is chiefly remembered from Bert Haanstra's wordless short film entitled simply Evoluon, commissioned by Philips to publicise the museum, and shown as a trade test colour film on BBC television from 1968 to 1972. In October 2013 the Evoluon was used to stage four 3D-concerts by the German electronic band Kraftwerk, each before an audience of 1,200 spectators. Key band member Ralf Hütter handpicked the venue for its retro-futuristic look. Bespoke 3D-visuals of the saucer section of the building descending from space were used in the live rendition of their track Spacelab.

Mapscape BV is a Netherlands-based independent business-to-business digital maps service provider. The company was founded in 2007 by Henk Eemers and Ralf Stollenwerk. It is active in the navigation and automotive industry. Mapscape is involved in content aggregation, compilation and testing of digital maps for navigation purposes. The maps are targeted for use in the automotive industry in e.g. online and offline navigation and location-based services. The company's automotive customers include BMW and Volkswagen, as well as navigation system suppliers, such as Continental, TomTom, Harman International, NNG, Bosch, and Elektrobit. The company uses raw navigation data from companies such as HERE Technologies, TeleAtlas, NavInfo, and MapMyIndia which it compiles into the proprietary formats used by various navigation systems.Furthermore, Mapscape is involved in testing and certifying a new proposed industry standard automotive map format, called the Navigation Data Standard (NDS) initiative.In January 2011, Mapscape was acquired by and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese digital map supplier NavInfo.

De Herdgang is a football training facility in Eindhoven, Netherlands. It serves as the training ground and youth academy of PSV Eindhoven and also accommodates its amateur teams. As of the 2014/2015 season Jong PSV play their home games at this facility.

The Run is a stream in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is a left tributary of the Dommel and part of the Meuse basin. The Run originates near the town of Weebosch and flows in a general northeast direction towards Veldhoven. South of Eersel it flows near the hamlets of Stokkelen, Schadewijk and Stevert. Near the hamlet Stevert used to be a watermill in the Run, which became obsolete in 1969 due to the channelization of the stream. Further downstream the Run passes the hamlet of Heers until it discharges into the Dommel, just south of Veldhoven.

Eindhoven Strijp-S is a railway station located in northwestern Eindhoven, Netherlands at the Strijp-S creative and residential district built on the former Philips factory complex. The station was opened on 23 September 1971 and is located on the Breda–Eindhoven railway. The station is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station was known as Eindhoven Beukenlaan until 13 December 2015 when it was renamed Eindhoven Strijp-S. This is to reflect the redevelopment of the area around the station into a business park, called Strijp-S. Before 2018 the station will have lifts installed to make the platforms accessible for persons of reduced mobility, buggies etc.
