South Front Street Historic District

The Widow Maloby's Tavern is a historic tavern building located in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The tavern was built in 1764, and is a 3 1/2-story, three bay by two bay, brick rowhouse. It was originally painted yellow. It remained a tavern and community gathering place for over a century.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 16, 1972. The tavern is also part of the South Front Street Historic District.

Nathaniel Irish House is a historic home located in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located next to the Capt. Thomas Moore House. It was built between 1763 and 1769, and is a 3+1⁄2-story, three bay brick rowhouse. It has a two-story, attached rear building and a steep gable roof with dormers. The interior features seven fireplaces. This and the adjoining houses were built by Nathaniel Irish.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is located in the South Front Street Historic District.

Capt. Thomas Moore House is a historic home located in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located in between the Nathaniel Irish House, to the south, and Widow Maloby's Tavern, to the north. It was built in 1767, and is a 3+1⁄2-story, three bay brick rowhouse. This house is believed to have been built by Nathaniel Irish.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is located in the South Front Street Historic District.

The Franklin Sugar Refinery was a steam-powered, brick building constructed starting in 1866 on Almond and Swanson Streets by the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Two decades later it had expanded into the surrounding blocks. The Franklin Sugar Refining Company was formed as a corporation controlled by various firms of which Charles Custis Harrison was the senior partner. In 1892 the Franklin Sugar Refinery was sold to the American Sugar Refining Company in an effort to monopolize the sugar refining industry within the United States. It continued to operate under the same name for several decades. Other refineries operating in Philadelphia at that time were the Spreckels Company, the Pennsylvania Sugar Refining Co., and E. C. Knight & Co. In 1925 the building was purchased by the Merchants Warehouse Company. The building's site is now part of the I-95 highway.

Robert Ralston School is a historic school building located in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1869, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, four-bay, brick building with a stucco foundation in the Gothic Revival-style. It has a later addition in an industrial style. It features a pedimented front gable, a molded wood cornice, and an ocular vent opening. It was named after merchant and philanthropist Robert Ralston (1761-1836). The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Neziner Congregation (Hebrew: אהבת אחים אנשי נזין נוסח הארי) was a synagogue in the Southwark neighborhood of South Philadelphia. The congregation was founded in 1896 by immigrants from the city of Nizhyn in the Ukraine who met in members’ homes. The congregation purchased the building at 771 S 2nd Street in 1905 and held services and community events there until 1984 when it closed and merged with Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel.

The houses were built in 1764 by John Drinker (1716–1787), father of noted American portrait artist John Drinker (1760–1826).They were added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 27, 1971.
