Rivers Casino Philadelphia, formerly SugarHouse Casino, is a casino entertainment development along the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's Fishtown neighborhood, one of five stand-alone casinos awarded a gaming license on December 20, 2006 by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

The Treaty of Shackamaxon, also called the Great Treaty and Penn's Treaty, was a legendary treaty between William Penn and Tamanend of the Lenape signed in 1682. Penn and Tamanend agreed that their people would live in a state of perpetual peace.

Penn Treaty Park is a small park on the western bank of the Delaware River, in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located on Beach Street, near its intersection with Delaware Avenue. The land that is now the park was part of the LenapeShackamaxon, where William Penn famously entered into a treaty of peace with Tamanend, a chief of the Lenape Turtle Clan in 1683.

Frankford and Delaware Avenue station, also known as the Northern Liberties Loop, is a SEPTA Route 15 trolley station in Philadelphia, United States, located in the Port Richmond neighborhood. The station serves the area surrounding Rivers Casino Philadelphia. The loop opened in 2012 to serve SEPTA Route 15 trolleys. This was due to the I-95 construction near Richmond Street. Trolleys had to be cut back, and buses had to take over to Richmond and Westmoreland Loop. Currently, SEPTA Route 15 is running with buses. There is a possibility that trolleys come back in September 2023.

Yards Brewing Company is a craft brewery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, specializing in ales, particularly those in the English tradition. In 1994 friends Tom Kehoe and Jon Bovit established Yards after producing their own homebrews since 1988. Within the first few months, "the Yards Guys" were producing one six-keg batch at a time out of their 3.5-barrel brewhouse, and supplying ESA, Entire Porter, and several other cask-conditioned ales to bars. After several partnership changes, Kehoe has continued expanding the Yards brand by moving to larger locations and incrementally increasing the overall output capacity. In 2015, Yards was capable of brewing 55,000 barrels.

Bridgman's View Tower is a proposed 66-story mixed use skyscraper in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Planned to rise 749 feet (228 meters), the building would be the fifth tallest in the city. The building, designed by Philadelphia-based architecture firm Agoos/Lovera, would rise near the city's Delaware River waterfront. It is being developed by Marc Stien with the support of the Ironworker's Union Local 401. The scope of the project includes 794 high-end condominium units, a 200 to 300 room boutique hotel and an enclosed shopping plaza. There are 'green' components to the buildings, such as a rooftop garden. If completed, Bridgman's View Tower would be much larger than other buildings in its immediate vicinity. The Northern Liberties neighborhood is well removed physically from the core of skyscrapers that exist in Center City although the area has, over the past few years, become a popular locale for developers and several large scale projects are proposed in addition to Bridgman's View. The project's original completion date of 2010 is now in doubt as the land for the project was recently placed up for auction.

Cooper Point (also known as Cooper Poynt) is a neighborhood in the northwestern part of Camden, New Jersey, United States. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the neighborhood has a population of 2,880. It is north of Cooper Grant and the Central Waterfront the other neighborhoods located near the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The yards of Weeks Marine and the site of the former Riverfront State Prison are located along the Delaware River. In May 2013, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority announced that it would seek developers for the site. In September 2013, Waterfront Renaissance Associates announced that it proposed to build the Riverfront World Trade Center, a development of 2.3-million-square-foot campus on 16 acres on the site. The project would be built in four phases, the first of which would be a promenade along the Delaware River.

Fishtown is a neighborhood in the River Wards section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Located northeast of Center City Philadelphia, its borders are somewhat disputed today due to many factors, but are roughly defined by the triangle created by the Delaware River, Frankford Avenue, and York Street. Some newer residents expand the area to Lehigh Avenue, while some older residents shrink the area to Norris Street. It is served by the Market–Frankford Line rapid transit subway/elevated line of the SEPTA system. Fishtown is a largely working class Irish Catholic neighborhood, but has recently seen a large influx of young urban professionals and gentrification.The name Fishtown derives from one of the original occupations of its residents. Early settlers were fishermen, and over time they controlled the fishing rights to both sides of the Delaware River, from Cape May to the falls at Trenton. The apocryphal local legend traces the name of Fishtown to Charles Dickens, who purportedly visited the neighborhood in March 1842, but records show this to be false, as it was named Fishtown prior to his visit, at least as early as 1808, as evidenced in a newspaper article in The Tickler, an early 19th century Philadelphia newspaper.

Riverfront State Prison (RSP) is a former prison in Camden, New Jersey that was operated by the New Jersey Department of Corrections from August 12, 1985, to 2009. It was located in the neighborhood of Cooper Point at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Elm Street.The prison first opened after the state paid Camden money in exchange for receiving a plot of land that was used to establish the prison.In 2007, while the state was preparing to close Riverfront, it considered establishing a replacement state prison in Cumberland County, which already had three other state prisons. When officials from the city of Bridgeton, New Jersey heard of a state report proposing to move Riverfront's prisoners to South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, Bridgeton officials opposed the plans.Riverfront closed in 2009. The state had a savings of $43 million per year. Northern Liberties Township is a defunct township that was located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, United States. The township ceased to exist and was incorporated into the City of Philadelphia after the passage of the Act of Consolidation, 1854.

Birely, Hillman & Streaker was a prominent Philadelphia shipbuilding firm through the latter part of the 19th century. The shipyard specialized in the manufacturer of large wooden paddle steamers and wooden steamboats for the domestic American market.

USS Edgar F. Coney (SP-346) was an armed tug that served in the United States Navy from 1917 to 1919. Edgar F. Coney was built as a commercial steam tug of the same name in 1904 by John B. Dialogue & Sons at Camden, New Jersey, for the South Atlantic Towboat Company. On 22 September 1917, the U.S. Navy chartered her from her owner – by then Philip Shore of Tampa, Florida – for use during World War I. She was commissioned the same day as USS Edgar F. Coney (SP-346). Assigned to the 3rd Naval District, Edgar F. Coney was based at Tompkinsville, Staten Island, New York. She carried out towing duties in the New York City area for the remainder of World War I and into 1919. Edgar F. Coney was decommissioned on 5 July 1919 and returned to her owner the same day. She returned to commercial service. The Tug sank 28 January 1930 in the Gulf of Mexico in rough seas and high winds 70 miles south east of Port Arthur, Texas. Lost with all 14 hands.
