Vršovice Savings Bank Building

The University of Finance and Administration (Czech: Vysoká škola finanční a správní o.p.s., VŠFS) is a private business school in the Czech Republic. It was founded by the Bank Academy and Czech Coal Group in 1999 and was one of the first private business schools in the country. It has had full university status from the accreditation committee of the Czech government since 2009.

Rangherka (Rangheri House), also called Vršovický zámeček (Vršovice Castle) is a former silk factory, today Neo-Renaissance representative building from the 19th century, which stands in Vršovice in Prague 10, Czech Republic. Named according to its first owner Giuseppe Rangheri. The building is a state-protected cultural monument.

Šaloun Villa or Šalounova vila is a studio in Prague designed by and for the sculptor Ladislav Šaloun. The villa was designed and built to construct the Jan Hus Memorial but it was also a meeting place for the Czech intelligentsia. Today the building has been restored and it is used for education.

The Hus Congregational House, or Husův sbor, is a Hussite church in Dykova Street in Prague 10. It was completed in 1935 as part of a multi-functional development by architect Pavel Janák in the constructivist style. The tall, six-storey minimalist tower and belfry carries a 700 kg copper chalice as a symbol of the Hussite Church. The tower was briefly used to create an alternative radio station during the Prague uprising in 1945.

Vinohrady Water Tower (Czech: Vinohradská vodárna) is a building in Vinohrady in Prague 10 which was originally built as a water tower. Today its architecture is recognized as culturally important although it is now converted to accommodate offices and apartments. The viewing platform at the top is 40 metres above the street level. It’s tourism helps pay for over 20,000 dollars worth of repairs and maintenance a year.

Ďolíček Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Prague district Vršovice, Czech Republic. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Bohemians Praha 1905 and FK Pardubice. The stadium was opened on 27 March 1932 for a match against SK Slavia Prague. The reconstruction of 2003 changed the capacity to 13,388 (3,028 seated). After reconstruction in summer 2007, its capacity was reduced to 9,000 (3,800 seated). Bohemians 1905 were not allowed to keep the stand sector, they changed it into seats, which reduced the capacity further, to 7,500 (all seated). In the 2010–11 and 2011–12 seasons, Bohemians played its home matches at Synot Tip Arena, and Ďolíček was only used for the Bohemians 1905 "B" team. In 2011, councillors of the city district of Prague 10 approved a proposal to purchase the stadium.

The Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord (Czech: Kostel Nejsvětějšího Srdce Páně) is a Roman Catholic church at Jiřího z Poděbrad Square in Prague's Vinohrady district. It was built between 1929 and 1932 and designed by the Slovene architect Jože Plečnik. Plečnik found the inspiration for this construction in old Christian and ancient patterns. This was one of three new buildings constructed in 1929 in Prague, inspired by the 1000th anniversary of the death of St. Wenceslas. The most expensive construction for Wenceslas's commemoration in Prague was the completion of the medieval St. Vitus Cathedral, but the Catholic Church also decided to build two new churches. One church was to be built in Vršovice, Prague 10 – St. Wenceslas Church (Vršovice) by Czech architect Josef Gočár and this one, which was to be built at Jiřího z Poděbrad Square in Vinohrady. It is considered one of the most significant Czech religious constructions of the 20th century. In the wide 42 m high tower wall is a huge, 7.6 m diameter glazed clock (the largest in the Czech Republic). In the basement is a spacious chapel with a wooden caisson ceiling. Inside is an altar made of white marble, a three-metre gilded figure of Christ, and six statues of the patrons of Bohemia.During World War II, the six bells from the tower were melted down for arms production, and in 1992, two copies were returned. Since 2010, the church has been ranked among national cultural monuments.

Jiřího z Poděbrad Square (George of Poděbrady Square, officially: náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad) is located in Vinohrady district in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. It is dominated by Art Nouveau Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord from 1932, which stands in the middle of it. The majority of the square is actually an urban park, there is also a stone fountain included. Metro and tram stops of the same are located on the square.

Královské Vinohrady (in English literally "Royal Vineyards" German: Königliche Weinberge) is a cadastral district in Prague. It is so named because the area was once covered in vineyards dating from the 14th century. Vinohrady lies in the municipal and administrative districts of Prague 2 (west part), Prague 3 (north-east part) and Prague 10 (south-east part), little parts also of Prague 1 (Prague State Opera and Federal Assembly of Czechoslovakia) and Prague 4 (near Nusle). Between 1788–1867 it was called Viničné Hory (Vineyard Mountains). From 1867 to 1968 it was called Královské Vinohrady ("Royal Vineyards"). In 1875, Královské Vinohrady was divided into two parts, Královské Vinohrady I and Královské Vinohrady II, the part I was renamed to Žižkov and the part II to Královské Vinohrady in 1877. In 1922 Královské Vinohrady was made part of Prague as district XII. In 1949, the west part was conjoined with Prague 2 and the east part remain separate district Prague 12. In 1960, where Prague division was reduced from 16 to 10 administrative districts, the north part of Prague 12 was conjoined with Žižkov into Prague 3 and the south part was joined to Prague 10. Local patriots say that the real reason was that Královské Vinohrady was known as a "bourgeois" district and thus politically unreliable for the then-ruling Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. The historic part of Prague Main Railway Station (open 1871 as Franz Joseph I Station) is situated at the margin of Vinohrady. City Electric Tramway of Královské Vinohrady (1897) were a base of the Prague net of municipal electric tramway.

The Hus' House or Husův sbor is a Hussite church in the Vršovice area of Prague. This building was one of the first buildings in Prague built from pre-stressed concrete and brick panels. It was built in less than a year and includes a "lighthouse" tower topped with symbol of Hussite church, a chalice and a cross.

Vršovice is a district of Prague. All of Vršovice lies within the Prague 10 administrative district. Vršovice is located south-east of the city centre. It borders Vinohrady to the north, Nusle to the south-west, Michle to the south and Strašnice to the east. The name is first mentioned in 1088 in the founding document of the Vyšehrad Chapter. In 1922 the district was incorporated into the city of Prague. It has 107 streets and 1,611 addresses and has about 38,700 inhabitants. A train station, Praha-Vršovice (formerly known as Nusle, German: Nusl-Verschowitz), serves this part of the city. There is a shopping centre in Vršovice, called Eden and the Koh-i-Noor Waldes factory, which is a manufacturer of buttons and press-studs. It should not be confused with the Czech company Koh-i-Noor Hardtmuth, one of the world's largest producers and distributors of pencils and office supplies. In a 2016 travel feature about the district, The New York Times identified Vršovice as "one of the capital’s 'it' neighborhoods."Some of the most notable people born there are Michael Stevens, Dominik Hlavacka, Johnny Studnicny and Krystof Hanzal.
