Bush Court

W12 (West 12 Shepherd's Bush, formerly the Concorde Centre) is a shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The modern development borders the south side of Shepherd's Bush Green and was designed in the 1960s.

Shepherd's Bush is a London Underground station in the district of Shepherd's Bush in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The station is on the Central line, between White City and Holland Park stations, and it lies in Travelcard Zone 2. The station originally opened in 1900, but was closed for eight months in 2008 while the surface station building was replaced with a completely new structure and the underground station refurbished. A number of stations in the area both past and present have borne the name Shepherd's Bush; today the Central line station shares its name with the adjacent London Overground Shepherd's Bush station, with which it shares a surface-level interchange. An entirely separate London Underground station, Shepherd's Bush Market on the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines is located approximately 1⁄3-mile (500 m) away. Until 2008, it too was called Shepherd's Bush until it was renamed to avoid confusion.

This station was renamed on 12 October that year to Shepherd's Bush Market to avoid confusion.

The Church of St Simon is a Church of England parish church in Shepherd's Bush, London. It was built circa 1879 - 1886, designed by architect Sir Arthur Blomfield in the Gothic Revival style with a tower. The church is located on the south side of Shepherd's Bush Green on Rockley Road.

Uxbridge Road was a railway station on the West London Railway from 1869 to 1940. It was initially served by London & North Western Railway and the Great Western Railway. In 1905 the station became a branch of the Metropolitan Railway, and later London Underground's Metropolitan line. Uxbridge Road station closed on 21 October 1940 during World War II, when the West London Line was put out of service during the Blitz. The station was located at the eastern end of the Uxbridge Road in Shepherd's Bush, west London, UK, just before the start of Holland Park Avenue, a short distance from Shepherd's Bush station on the Central line. The station entrance was situated on the site of the present-day Holland Park roundabout.

Roseford Court is a large tower block built as part of a public housing project in the 1970s in Shepherd's Bush, London. It is located on the south side of Shepherd's Bush Green and falls just outside the Shepherd's Bush Conservation Area. Although built as public housing, a number of the flats are now privately owned and are regularly offered for sale to the public.

The Khalsa Jatha is a Sikh place of worship in the Notting Hill area of London. The gurdwara was established in 1908, and affiliated to Chief Khalsa Dewan of Amritsar. From 1913 to 1969 congregations were held at 79 Sinclair Road, Shepherd Bush. The present building was established in 1969 onwards at Queensdale Road. The building was later refurbished by Peter Virdi Foundation.

The Grampians is grade II listed apartment building in Shepherds Bush Road, Shepherd's Bush, London. It was designed by Maurice Webb in the Art Deco style and built between 1935 and 1937. The designs for the block were exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1935.

The Shepherd's Bush Conservation Area is a part of Shepherd's Bush, London, that has been established by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in order to promote the protection of local buildings of historic interest, and improve the character of the neighbourhood.Generally, in the United Kingdom, the term Conservation Area nearly always applies to an area (usually urban or the core of a village) considered worthy of preservation or enhancement because of its special architectural or historic interest, "the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance", as required by the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 (Section 69 and 70). More than 8000 have been designated. The Shepherd's Bush Conservation Area is one of a number of areas in Hammersmith and Fulham which have been designated for conservation. Broadly speaking it encompasses Shepherd's Bush Green and its immediate environs, including many streets north of the Green (south of the Westfield Centre).

Shepherds Bush Green (also known as Shepherds Bush Common) is an approximately 8-acre (3.2 ha) triangular area of open grass surrounded by trees and roads with shops in Shepherd's Bush, an area of west London which takes its name from the Green. The Green is also a ward of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The population of the ward at the 2011 Census was 12,175.

At the 1908 Summer Olympics, four fencing events were contested. The 1908 Games were the first to lack a foil competition. Foil fencing, "not being in the opinion of the organisers a form of sport which is improved by competition," was held only as a display. The 1908 Olympics did introduce team sabre and épée competitions. As in the 1904 edition, the London Games held no events for masters; all fencing was done by amateurs.
