Yager Stadium at Moore Bowl is a sport stadium in Topeka, Kansas. The facility is primarily used by Washburn University for college football and men's and women's soccer teams. The stadium currently hosts the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 6A state championship game. Previously just called the Moore Bowl, the stadium was re-dedicated in 2002 and named for former Washburn player Gary Yager at the request of an anonymous donor.

The Walking Bods are a set of seven steel sculptures crafted by Barrett DeBusk. They stand 9 feet tall, and are each a different, solid color. They are on permanent display on the Washburn University Campus in Topeka, Kansas (between Stauffer Commons and the Mulvane Art Museum). They were first put on display through the summer of 2004. DeBusk was inspired for these sculptures while walking down Sixth Avenue in Manhattan. He said "I was struck by the mass of people, all moving in different directions, so alike but so different. My Bods represent different people in their daily march of life."A twin set of "Bods" named Walking Bobs can be found on permanent display at the University of West Alabama.

Washburn University (WU), formally Washburn University of Topeka, is a public university in Topeka, Kansas, United States. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as professional programs in law and business. Washburn has 550 faculty members, who teach more than 6,100 undergraduate students and nearly 800 graduate students. The university's assets include a $158 million endowment.

Lee Arena serves as the home to the Washburn Ichabods men's and women's basketball, as well as the women's volleyball team. The arena draws some of the largest crowds in NCAA Division II. The arena was the first in the MIAA to have a video board and a digital scorer's table.The arena holds 4,150 and in 2012 it became the first in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and one of the first in NCAA Division II to feature a digital scorer's table. Along with a video board connected to the facility's scoreboard, the Daktronics equipment has the capabilities to show video, graphics, statistics and other features.The most recent major renovation to Lee Arena added second-story office and meeting rooms that overlook the court. The McPherson Booster Room was also built. The room gives donors and other special guests a great view of the court and a place to gather and socialize.All three sports that play in Lee Arena have had tremendous success throughout its history and all three have hosted numerous NCAA postseason events. The volleyball team hosted the NCAA national championship in 2007 and the men's basketball team has hosted the NCAA regional tournament five times, the last in 2001. The women's basketball team most recently hosted the regional tournament in 2012 and has been host five times as well. The 1993 NCAA II Women’s Elite Eight was also played in Lee Arena.The concourse around Lee Arena features a ticket booth, concession stands and restrooms. Locker rooms for the three sports, as well as softball and baseball are located in the building as well.Lee Arena was built as part of the $8.4 million Kelsey H. and Edna B. Petro Allied Health Center, the largest building on campus covering more than 126,000 square feet. The arena is named after former Washburn baseball coach and player, Bob Lee and his wife, Sallee, to recognize their $250,000 donation.

The Washburn University School of Law is a public law school located on the main campus of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Washburn Law was founded in 1903. The school is accredited by the American Bar Association and has been a member of the Association of American Law Schools since 1905.

Topeka ( tə-PEE-kə) is the capital city of the U.S. state of Kansas and the seat of Shawnee County. It is along the Kansas River in the central part of Shawnee County, in northeast Kansas, in the Central United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 126,587. The Topeka metropolitan statistical area, which includes Shawnee, Jackson, Jefferson, Osage, and Wabaunsee Counties, had a population of 233,870 in the 2010 census. The city, laid out in 1854, was one of the Free-State towns founded by Eastern antislavery men immediately after the passage of the Kansas–Nebraska Bill. In 1857, Topeka was chartered as a city. The city is well known for the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, which overturned Plessy v. Ferguson and declared racial segregation in public schools to be unconstitutional.

The Westminster Presbyterian Church in Topeka, Kansas was built during 1924 to 1926. It was designed by architect Charles Cuthbert in Late Gothic Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.Its NRHP nomination describes: "As with most Late Gothic Revival structures, Westminster's design is quieter, smoother, less ornate and "top heavy" than that of the high Victorian Gothic period. There is little tracery and ornamentation is kept to a minimum."

The Topeka Council of Colored Women's Clubs Building was the clubhouse of the Topeka Council of Colored Women's Clubs (TCCWC). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States in 2009. It is located in Topeka, Kansas.

The Chester B. Woodward House is a historic house in Topeka, Kansas. It was built in 1923 for Chester B. Woodward, a businessman. Woodward served as the vice president of the Central National Bank and Trust Company of Topeka from 1920 to 1928 and the president of the Topeka Morris Plan Company from 1928 to 1940.The house was designed by Root & Siemens in the Classical Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 25, 1992.

The Stormont Vail Events Center, formerly known as Kansas Expocentre, is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena built in 1987 in Topeka, Kansas. Previously, the Topeka Sizzlers of the Continental Basketball Association, Kansas Koyotes indoor football team,Topeka Tarantulas, Topeka ScareCrows, Topeka Pilots ice hockey and Topeka Tropics of the National Arena League (NAL) teams played there. Many other shows, including concerts, perform here. The Kansas Expocentre was renamed on June 13, 2019, to the Stormont Vail Events Center after signing a ten-year partnership agreement with Topeka-based Stormont Vail Health. It has hosted the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 5A boys and girls state basketball tournaments since its opening, and the KSHSAA Class 5A and 6A volleyball state championships since 1992. The arena also hosts the USA Wrestling Kansas Kids state championship tournament every March. Landon Arena is the main part of the events center. Other areas include the Exhibition Hall, a building for trade shows, and Domer Arena, a livestock/horse show arena.

The Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library is a public library located in Topeka, Kansas, United States. It serves all of Shawnee County, Kansas with the exception of the Rossville, Kansas and Silver Lake, Kansas townships. The Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library is a municipal taxing district authorized by Kansas law. It is governed by a board of trustees consisting of ten members. The library offers many services to the public including senior/homebound delivery, work and home delivery, bookmobile services, curbside pickup, public computers, meeting rooms, extensive programming, the Alice C. Sabatini Gallery and the Millennium Cafe.

Stormont Vail Health is an extensive medical facility in the city of Topeka, Kansas. The facility provides a nonprofit hospital and integrated health care system for Shawnee County and the northeast Kansas region. The name derives from two earlier Topeka facilities, the Jane C. Stormont Women's Hospital and Training School for Nurses and Christ's Hospital (founded by Bishop Thomas Vail), both established in the 19th century. These two hospitals were combined in 1949 to form the Stormont–Vail Regional Medical Center. When the regional center merged with the Cotton–O'Neill Clinic in 1996, the governing foundation adopted the new name Stormont–Vail HealthCare, and this was shortened in 2016 to Stormont Vail Health.
