Trump Winery

Blenheim Vineyards is a winery located in the Piedmont region of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the county of Albemarle. It is located within both the Virginia and Monticello viticultural areas and is among the 23 wineries located on the "Monticello Wine Trail".

Blenheim is a historic home and farm complex located at Blenheim, Albemarle County, Virginia. The once very large surrounding plantation was established by John Carter. Late in the 18th century, his son Edward Carter became the county's largest landowner, and in addition to public duties including service in the Virginia General Assembly built a mansion on this plantation where he and his family resided mostly in summers (and which he leased to the Virginia government during the American Revolutionary War to house captured British officers pending prisoner exchanges), but which was destroyed by fire and sold by auction circa 1840. The current historic main house and outbuildings were built by politician and diplomat Andrew Stevenson in 1846. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, six-bay, gable-roofed frame building with Gothic Revival and Greek Revival style details. It has an ell at the rear of the west end. The front facade features a pair of one-story tetrastyle porches with pairs of Doric order piers. A notable outbuilding is the square "Athenaeum", a one-story, one-room, frame Greek Revival building with a pyramidal hipped roof and portico supported on Doric piers. Also on the property are a frame kitchen/laundry, a "chapel" or schoolhouse, and two smoke houses. Also on the property are two dwellings, one of which is supposed to have been built to accommodate Justice Roger B. Taney on his visits to Blenheim.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.Blenheim Vineyards was established in 2000 on part of the property once owned by Edward Carter (of Blenheim), who sold a parcel to Thomas Jefferson which was in turn sold to Philip Mazzei, who established one of the first Virginia wineries early in the 19th century. Morven is a historic home located near Simeon, Albemarle County, Virginia. It was built about 1821, and consists of a two-story, five bay by two bay, brick main block with a two-story, three bay brick wing. The front facade features a one-bay porch with a pedimented gable roof and Tuscan order entablature, supported by four Tuscan columns. Also on the property are the contributing office and frame smokehouse.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Redlands is a historic home located near Covesville, Albemarle County, Virginia. It was built between about 1798 and 1808, and is a rectangular two-story, five-bay, brick structure covered by a hipped roof in the Federal style. It features a Tuscan order front porch. Its interior is notable for its fine Adamesque woodwork. The master builder of the house was Martin Thacker, of neighboring Cedar Grove. It was built for Robert Carter, grandson of John Carter, around the time of his marriage to Mary Eliza Coles of neighboring Enniscorthy.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.

Tandem Friends School is a coeducational secondary school founded in 1970 in Albemarle County, Virginia, just outside Charlottesville, by educators John Howard and Duncan Alling. In 1995, it joined the Friends Council on Education, adopting the educational beliefs and practices of the Quakers. The current head of school is Whitney Thompson. The Upper School, grades 9-12, has approximately 130 students, while the Middle School, grades 5-8, has approximately 105 students. The head of the Upper School is Russell Combs, and the head of the Middle School is Paul Cronin. The mascot is a badger and the original mascot was a tree.

Wells designed and/or supervised some Colonial Revival style additions in the 1930s and there was further addition of a Palladian window and more in the 1960s.A smokehouse is one additional contributing building on the property.

Monticello High School (MHS) is a suburban public high school located in Albemarle County, Virginia, United States outside Charlottesville. Opened in 1998, it is one of three traditional comprehensive high schools in the Albemarle County Public Schools System. The school is named after Monticello, the nearby estate of President Thomas Jefferson. With an enrollment of 1,185 students in grades 9 through 12, Monticello receives students from Walton and Burley Middle Schools, which cover the southern and eastern portions of Albemarle county. The school colors are black and gold, and the mascot is a Mustang. The school's fight song uses the tune of The Victors. Effective in the 2019–20 school year, Monticello, along with all the other Albemarle County high schools, operates on a Four-by-Four yearlong schedule, with two sets of classes alternating days and Fridays switching between the two. Dr. Beth Costa became Monticello High School's seventh principal in July 2022.

Highland, formerly Ash Lawn–Highland, located near Charlottesville, Virginia, United States, and adjacent to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, was the estate of James Monroe, a Founding Father and fifth president of the United States. Purchased in 1793, Monroe and his family permanently settled on the property in 1799 and lived at Highland for twenty-five years. Personal debt forced Monroe to sell the plantation in 1825. Before and after selling Highland, Monroe spent much of his time living at the plantation house at his large Oak Hill estate near Leesburg, Virginia. Monroe named his Charlottesville home "Highland". For many years after Monroe's death until 2016, the house was known as Ash Lawn-Highland or merely Ash Lawn. The estate is now owned, operated and maintained by Monroe's alma mater, the College of William & Mary.
