Farranfore railway station serves the village of Farranfore in County Kerry, Ireland. It is located a short distance away from Kerry Airport.

Farranfore (Irish: An Fearann Fuar, meaning 'the cold land') is a village in County Kerry, Ireland. It lies on the N22 road approximately midway between Tralee (10 miles or 17 km) and Killarney (9 miles or 15 km) and on the railway line connecting the two towns. Farranfore came into existence as a turnpike; a gate at the cross-roads in the village marked the boundary of the lands of the Earls of Kenmare.

Castlemaine is the largest settlement in the civil parish. The local Roman Catholic church, dedicated to Saint Carthage, is in Castlemaine Parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kerry. The Church of Ireland church, in Meanus townland in Kiltallagh, is also dedicated to Saint Carthage (or Cartach) and is in the Diocese of Tuam, Limerick and Killaloe. Built in 1816 on the site of an earlier church, it is listed on the Record of Protected Structures by Kerry County Council. Trughanacmy (Irish: Triúcha an Aicme) is a barony in County Kerry, Ireland. The barony is an obsolete administrative area, having ceased to have any government function since the enactment of the Local Government (Ireland) Act 1898. In 1881 the barony had an area of 195,147 acres (789.73 km2).

Kerry Airport (Irish: Aerfort Chiarraí; IATA: KIR, ICAO: EIKY), often called Farranfore Airport, is an international airport in Farranfore, County Kerry, Ireland. It is 7 nautical miles (13 km; 8.1 mi) north of the Ring of Kerry and 8 nautical miles (15 km; 9.2 mi) southeast of the county's capital Tralee. Passenger services are operated by Ryanair and more recently French airline Chalair . In 2022, Kerry Airport handled 355,043 passengers; a decrease of 4% since 2019.

Edenburn House, formerly 'Magh House' or 'Rockfield', is a house and demesne in the parish of Ballymacelligott, County Kerry, in Ireland. Built in the late 18th century, it is situated between Tralee and Castleisland. Formerly the home of the Hussey family, from 1937 to 1968, the house was used as a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients. Later becoming known as Edenburn Hospital, from 1968 until its closure in 1988 the building was a convalescent home and hospital, catering mostly for orthopaedic patients and elderly patients.

Ballymacelligott is the biggest parish in Munster. Maglass is a farming area, with the nearest shop and post office is approximately 1 mile from Maglass in Ballydwyer. The nearest church is a further mile in Clogher, where there is also a National School.

Killaclohane Portal Tomb is a megalithic tomb located in the townland of Killaclohane, about 2km east of Milltown, County Kerry, Ireland. This Neolithic tomb dates to 3800 BC and is Kerry’s oldest man-made structure and earliest identified burial monument. In 2015, the portal tomb or dolmen was in imminent danger of collapse and was excavated and restored by a team led by Kerry County Archaeologist, Dr Michael Connolly. Prior to the excavation of Killaclohane Portal Tomb, very little was known about Neolithic settlement in Kerry and the beginning of agriculture.

Currow (Irish: An Currach / Corra) is a rural village in County Kerry in south west Ireland, located approximately 12 km from Killarney and 18 km from Tralee. Currow is situated on the Brown Flesk River, a tributary of the River Maine.
