Bryn yr Ŵyn

Banc Bugeilyn is a hill found in Plynlimon between Aberystwyth and Welshpool in the United Kingdom; grid reference SN826925.The summit is class as a Dewey. The height of the summit from sea level is 551 m (1808 ft).

Pumlumon Cwmbiga is a summit of the Pumlumon mountain range in Ceredigion, Wales. It is 620 metres (2,034) feet above sea level and is a deleted Nuttall, only just missing out on the criteria. The nearby summit of Carnfachbugeilyn is slightly higher at 622 metres (2,041 feet).

Dylife is a former mining settlement in Powys, Wales, located at the head of Afon Twymyn in the Cambrian Mountains, one mile west of the road between Llanidloes and Llanbrynmair (B4518). It is in the historic county of Montgomeryshire. The nearby lead mines intermittently sustained mining communities from Roman times until the early 20th century. During the late 19th century, as mining declined after the 1860s so did Dylife's population. The remaining buildings are two former chapels converted into homes and the Star Inn.

The Dylife Gorge, located near Dylife, Powys, Mid Wales, was carved by the action (and aftermath) of the last Ice age. It is headed by the Ffrwd Fawr Waterfall. Before the last Ice age, the River Twymyn did not flow through the valley. When the valley was filled by a glacier, the ice ground out a U-shaped glaciated valley. When the glacier that filled the valley melted the Twymyn started to run down the wide channel left behind and the fast flowing river further eroded the valley, cutting the V-shaped gorge as seen today.The long-distance footpath Glyndŵr's Way (Welsh: Llwybr Glyndŵr) passes nearby.

Pen Pumlumon Arwystli is the second highest summit on the Plynlimon massif, a part of the Cambrian Mountains in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. The summit is grassy, and is marked by 3 large ancient cairns. The views include Rhos Fawr, Drygarn Fawr, Pen y Garn to the south and Aran Fawddwy, Glasgwm, Tarrenhendre and Tarren y Gesail to the north. The longest river in Britain, the River Severn, has its source on a lower boggy plateau to the north of the summit.

Aberhosan (Welsh pronunciation ) is a village in the Welsh principal area of Powys, located between the town of Machynlleth and village of Dylife. It is in the historic county of Montgomeryshire.

Siambr Trawsfynydd is a mountain in Ceredigion, Wales, located to the north of Pumlumon. It is 582 m (1,910 ft) above sea level and one of the higher summits of the area. To the east is Glaslyn lake and the steep-sided Tarren Bwlch-Gwyn.

Clipyn Du is a mountain in northern Powys in Wales. Also known as Tarren Bwlch-Gwyn or Siambwr Trawsfynydd, it is one of the higher summits of the area and is located a few miles north of Pumlumon. Tarren Bwlch-Gwyn is the name of a steep-sided escarpment nearby. It is classed as a HuMP, having over 100 metres of Topographic prominence. Nearby is a lake, Glaslyn.

Mwyngloddfa Nantiago is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Brecknock, Powys, Wales. It is located on the eastern flank of the Plynlimon range of mountains. The spoil tips at the disused mine display examples of mineralisation.

Staylittle (Welsh: Penffordd-las), sometimes referred to colloquially as Y Stay or Y Stae, is a small village set in the shallow upland basin of the Afon Clywedog on the B4518 road, equidistant from Llanidloes and Llanbrynmair in the historic county of Montgomeryshire, Wales, although now administered as part of the unitary authority of Powys.
