Siambr Trawsfynydd

Clipyn Du is a mountain in northern Powys in Wales. Also known as Tarren Bwlch-Gwyn or Siambwr Trawsfynydd, it is one of the higher summits of the area and is located a few miles north of Pumlumon. Tarren Bwlch-Gwyn is the name of a steep-sided escarpment nearby. It is classed as a HuMP, having over 100 metres of Topographic prominence. Nearby is a lake, Glaslyn.

The Battle of Mynydd Hyddgen was a battle between the Welsh and English in June 1401. It was part of the Welsh revolt led by Owain Glyndŵr against English rule that lasted from 1400 to 1415. Its location was on the western slopes of Pumlumon, near the Ceredigion/Powys boundary.

Banc Bugeilyn is a hill found in Plynlimon between Aberystwyth and Welshpool in the United Kingdom; grid reference SN826925.The summit is class as a Dewey. The height of the summit from sea level is 551 m (1808 ft).

Aberhosan (Welsh pronunciation ) is a village in the Welsh principal area of Powys, located between the town of Machynlleth and village of Dylife. It is in the historic county of Montgomeryshire.

Pen Pumlumon Arwystli is the second highest summit on the Plynlimon massif, a part of the Cambrian Mountains in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. The summit is grassy, and is marked by 3 large ancient cairns. The views include Rhos Fawr, Drygarn Fawr, Pen y Garn to the south and Aran Fawddwy, Glasgwm, Tarrenhendre and Tarren y Gesail to the north. The longest river in Britain, the River Severn, has its source on a lower boggy plateau to the north of the summit.

Pen Pumlumon Llygad-bychan is a subsidiary summit of Pen Pumlumon Fawr and the third highest summit on the Plynlimon massif, a part of the Cambrian Mountains in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. It is not named on Ordnance Survey walking maps. The summit is boggy, and is marked by a few stones. The views include Rhos Fawr, Drygarn Fawr, Pen y Garn to the south and Aran Fawddwy, Glasgwm, Tarrenhendre and Tarren y Gesail to the north. The River Wye, has its source just south of the summit. The glacial lake of Llyn Llygad Rheidiol lies to the north.

Pumlumon Fach is a top of Pen Pumlumon Fawr on the Plynlimon massif, a part of the Cambrian Mountains in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. It lies on small ridge heading north-west from the summit of Pen Pumlumon Fawr. The summit is marked by small cairn, and overlooks the Nant-y-moch Reservoir to the north and Llyn Llygad Rheidiol to the east. The views also include the smaller summits of Drosgol (550m) and Banc Llechwedd-mawr (560m) and Cwm Hyddgen, a hide out of Owain Glyndŵr and his army.

Plynlimon, also spelled as Pumlumon in Welsh (also historically anglicised as Plinlimon and Plinlimmon), is the highest point of the Cambrian Mountains in Wales (taking a restricted definition of the Cambrian Mountains, excluding Snowdonia, the Berwyns and the Brecon Beacons), and the highest point in Mid Wales. It is a massif that dominates the surrounding countryside and is the highest point (county top) of Ceredigion (both the modern council area, and the historic county, also known as Cardiganshire). The highest point of the massif itself is Pen Pumlumon Fawr, which is 752 metres (2,467 ft) above ordnance datum. Its other important peaks are Pen Pumlumon Arwystli, Y Garn, Pen Pumlumon Llygad-bychan and Pumlumon Fach. Bryn yr Ŵyn, or Hill of the Lambs, is a Dewey in the foothills. The longest river in Britain, the River Severn, has its source on the mountain, as do the rivers Wye and Rheidol. Folklore says there is a sleeping giant in Plynlimon.

Pumlumon Cwmbiga is a summit of the Pumlumon mountain range in Ceredigion, Wales. It is 620 metres (2,034) feet above sea level and is a deleted Nuttall, only just missing out on the criteria. The nearby summit of Carnfachbugeilyn is slightly higher at 622 metres (2,041 feet).

Bryn yr Ŵyn, or Hill of the Lambs, is a Dewey in the foothills of Plynlimon between Aberystwyth and Welshpool in Wales. The summit height is 502 m (1647 ft) and the prominence, or relative height, is 32 metres.

Pistyll y Llyn is one of the tallest waterfalls in Wales and the United Kingdom. It is a horsetail style set of falls which are located in the Cambrian Mountains about 2+1⁄2 miles (4 kilometres) from Glaspwll in Powys, Wales. It is formed where the River Llyfnant falls from Llyn Penrhaeadr for approximately 525 feet (160 metres) into Cwm Rhaeadr in two waterfalls, and a series of cascades. The tallest waterfall is a single horsetail drop of 300 ft (91 m). This is sometimes mistakenly stated as 240 ft (73 m).

Mwyngloddfa Nantiago is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Brecknock, Powys, Wales. It is located on the eastern flank of the Plynlimon range of mountains. The spoil tips at the disused mine display examples of mineralisation.
