Tref Alaw

Elim is a small village in west-central Anglesey, Wales, located around 1 mile (1.6 km) south-east of Llanddeusant and 3 miles (4.8 km) south-west of Llyn Alaw. It is sited close to the Bedd Branwen ring cairn.

Glan-alaw is a village in the community of Tref Alaw, Anglesey, Wales, which is 139.4 miles (224.3 km) from Cardiff and 222.1 miles (357.4 km) from London.

Melin Hywel (English: Howell's Mill), known locally as Felin Selar (English: Selar Mill), is a 14th century Grade II* listed water-powered corn mill located near the Afon Alaw in Llanddeusant, Anglesey, Wales.

Fferam Uchaf is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (or SSSI) in Anglesey, North Wales, for its exposures of Llanvirn (Ordovician) rocks. It has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest since October 2001 in an attempt to protect its fragile Geological elements. The site has an area of 1.05 hectares (2.6 acres), is managed by Natural Resources Wales, and is 1.5 km (0.93 mi) north-east of Llanddeusant.

The Old Church of St Afran, St Ieuan and St Sannan, Llantrisant, is a redundant church in the settlement of Llantrisant, Anglesey, Wales. It is designated by Cadw as a Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Friends of Friendless Churches. It is set in an isolated location off a country road and is adjacent to a farmstead.

Llanddeusant (Welsh for 'the church of two saints'; ) is a small linear village, on Anglesey, North Wales about 10 miles (16 km) north east of Holyhead.

Llantrisant (; Welsh for "Parish of the Three Saints") is a hamlet in Anglesey, Wales. It is in the community of Tref Alaw.Its parish church is dedicated to Saints Afran, Ieuan, and Sanan. The parish's former church is now a protected building. Browne Willis and Sabine Baring-Gould considered "Afran" to be a corruption of Afan, a saint of Ceredigion and Brecknockshire. (The 16th-century Peniarth MS 147 concurs, listing the church as dedicated to "Sannan and Afan and Evan".) St Afan was related to the Cuneddan dynasty of Gwynedd and was claimed as an ancestor by a 10th-century Ieuan martyred by Viking raiders.

Melin Llynon, or Llynon Mill, is a gristmill located on the outskirts of the village of Llanddeusant on the island of Anglesey. It is the only surviving working windmill in Wales. The mill was built for £529, 11s in 1775–1776, on land owned by the surgeon Herbert Jones. It is classified as a tower mill. The machinery is within a stone tower and the moving top, or cap cwch, turns so that the sails hwyliau catch the wind from any direction. The tower was 9.3 metres tall and with four floors. It was used to drive machines for grinding corn, oats and barley. The first miller, Thomas Jones (1756–1846), worked it until his death. The position of miller was passed down through the generations, eventually going to a cousin William Pritchard.A storm in 1918 damaged the cap stopping it turning to face the wind. It still operated intermittently for the next six years when the wind was from the south-west. Eventually the mill closed and became increasingly dilapidated. It remained deserted and unused until the local council restored it between 1978 and 1986. It reopened in 1986 and now produces stoneground flour.

Pen-Llyn is a hamlet in the community of Bodedern, Anglesey, Wales, between Bodedern and Llanddeusant, some 4.5 miles from Valley. Llyn Llywenan, the largest natural lake on the island is nearby.

Llanbabo (meaning: Church of Pabo) is a small village two miles north west of Llannerch-y-medd in Anglesey, Wales. It lies within the community of Tref Alaw.The ancient church of St Pabo, Llanbabo is dedicated to Saint Pabo: possibly Pabo Post Prydain, one of the leaders among the Britons of the Hen Ogledd following the withdrawal of the Roman legions. He is said to have founded a church here in 460, upon the site of which the present one is built, and to have been buried here along with his daughters. A 14th-century effigy of Pabo, along with the words HIC JACET PABO POST PRUD CORPORS ... TE ... PRIMA, is found on a stone in the church.Llyn Alaw lies nearby.

St Pabo's Church, Llanbabo is a medieval church in Llanbabo, in Anglesey, North Wales. Much of the church dates to the 12th century, and it is regarded as a good example of a church of its period that has retained many aspects of its original fabric. The church houses a tombstone slab from the 14th century, depicting a king with crown and sceptre, bearing the name of Pabo Post Prydain, the reputed founder of the church. However, there is no evidence that Pabo, a 5th-century prince, lived in the area and the tradition that he founded the church has little supporting basis. The church is still in use, as part of the Church in Wales, although services are only held here occasionally. It is a Grade II* listed building, a designation given to "particularly important buildings of more than special interest", because it is a medieval church that has been little altered.
