The International School at Dundee is a magnet elementary school in Riverside, Connecticut, United States. The school belongs to the Greenwich Public Schools system and serves roughly 366 students. It also participates in the International Baccalaureate program, and was the first school in Connecticut to be IB authorized. In 2012 it was one of five Greenwich public schools to be in Connecticut's list of top-performing schools.

Riverside is a neighborhood/section in the town of Greenwich in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 8,416.The town of Greenwich is one political and taxing body, but consists of several distinct sections or neighborhoods, such as Banksville, Byram, Cos Cob, Glenville, Mianus, Old Greenwich, Riverside, and Greenwich (sometimes referred to as central, or downtown, Greenwich). St. Catherine of Siena is a Roman Catholic church in the Riverside section of Greenwich, Connecticut. It is now part of the Parish of St. Catherine of Siena and St. Agnes within the Diocese of Bridgeport. St. Catherine´s has an annual carnival for one week in June or July.

Old Greenwich station is a commuter rail station served by the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line, located in the Old Greenwich neighborhood of Greenwich, Connecticut. The station has two side platforms, each ten cars long, which serve the outer tracks of the four-track Northeast Corridor.

The Gustavus and Sarah T. Pike House is a historic house at 164 Fairfield Avenue, in the southwestern section of the city of Stamford, Connecticut is a Queen Anne style house built in 1880. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It is architecturally significant as a good example of a Queen Anne style house in Stamford, and also an excellent example of pattern book application. The building follows a pattern book design by H. H. Holly. It includes machine-made spindle and other detailing that only then became cost-effective with then-modern manufacturing.

The Spire School is a private, co-educational college preparatory day school in Stamford, Connecticut, for students in grades 6–12. Spire is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and is a Connecticut State-Approved Special Education School. Spire is owned and operated by the Greenwich Education Group, which also operates Links Academy and The Pinnacle School, both of which are located in Stamford, Connecticut.The Spire School provides customized instruction for intellectually capable students who are struggling with executive functioning challenges, depression, anxiety, ineffective coping skills and other emotional issues. The Spire School supports its students with an emphasis on self-care through use of effective coping skills, exercise, nutrition and academic empowerment.

The Pinnacle School is a private, co-educational special education day school for students in grades 2 -12 located in Stamford, Connecticut.

The Samuel Ferris House is a historic house at 1 Cary Road in Greenwich, Connecticut. Built around 1760 and enlarged around 1800, it is a well-preserved example of a Colonial period Cape, a rare survivor of the form to still stand facing the Boston Post Road in the town. It is also locally significant for its connections to the Ferris family, early settlers of the area.: 5  The house was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Mianus River is a 20.3-mile-long (32.7 km) river in Westchester County, New York, and Fairfield County, Connecticut, in the United States. It begins in the town of North Castle, New York (east of Armonk) in a series of ponds at about 600 feet (180 m) altitude. Flowing northeast into the town of Bedford, it abruptly turns south and passes through the Mianus River Gorge, a nature preserve, before entering Stamford, Connecticut, where it is dammed into the Mianus Reservoir, officially known as the Samuel J. Bargh Reservoir (256-foot (78 m) altitude) of the Greenwich Water Company. From there, it flows south through Stamford and Greenwich into Long Island Sound, at sea level. The river flows under the Mianus River Bridge, which is part of Interstate 95, U.S. Route 1, and the Mianus River Railroad Bridge which carries the New Haven Line of Metro-North Railroad. The Mianus flows through parks including the Mianus River State Park (straddling the Stamford/Greenwich border) and Mianus Glen, just to the north in Stamford, as well as Newman Mills Park in North Stamford. The Mianus Fault runs near the river, pushing rock on the east side down, relative to the west side.Mianus is a corruption of Mayanno, an Indian chieftain. Mianus has frequently been noted on lists of unusual place names.

Mianus , formerly Mayamus and Upper Landing, is a neighborhood in the town of Greenwich in the U.S. state of Connecticut. Unlike other Greenwich neighborhoods such as Cos Cob or Old Greenwich, Mianus does not have its own ZIP code or post office. Mianus lies partly in the Cos Cob ZIP code, partly in the Riverside ZIP code area, and partly in the Old Greenwich ZIP code area. It lies at an elevation of 23 feet (7 m) and is home to an elementary school. Mianus was also home to the Mianus Motor Works, a marine-engine manufacturer.The Veterans Administration and the town of Greenwich, CT developed the village of 40 starter houses—approximately 800 square feet (74.3 sq m) each—after World War II as rental units for returning servicemen and their families. In the 1950s, as many as 90 children lived with their parents in these houses. The nearby Mianus River, Cos Cob harbor and an extensive woods provided the children with an opportunity to live, grow and play in natural habitats rarely found in American public housing projects. Jack T. Scully, who spent the first 18 years of his life here, has written a collection of coming-of-age poems, Mianus Village, celebrating its bygone way of life. The toponym Mianus is thought to derive from the name of Mayanno, an Indian chieftain.

The Riverside Avenue Bridge is the only cast-iron bridge in Connecticut and one of a small number still in use in the United States. It carries Riverside Avenue over the New Haven Line railroad tracks in the Riverside section of Greenwich, Connecticut. The bridge was part of an earlier span built in 1871 over the Housatonic River by the New York and New Haven Railroad, and when that bridge was replaced, part of it was erected in Riverside in 1895. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.Called "an important engineering landmark" by Cultural Resource Management, a periodical published by the National Park Service, the bridge carries one of the primary streets in this section of town, and is owned by the Connecticut state government.

The Mianus River Bridge is a span that carries Interstate 95 (Connecticut Turnpike) over the Mianus River, between Cos Cob and Riverside, Connecticut. It is the second bridge on the site. The original bridge collapsed in 1983, killing three motorists. The replacement span is officially named the Michael L. Morano Bridge, after a state senator Michael L. Morano who represented Greenwich.
