The Fashion Museum (known before 2007 as the Museum of Costume) is housed in the Assembly Rooms in Bath, Somerset, England. The collection was started by Doris Langley Moore, who gave her collection of costumes to the city of Bath in 1963. The museum focuses on fashionable dress for men, women and children from the late 16th century to the present day and has more than 100,000 objects. The earliest pieces are embroidered shirts and gloves from about 1600. The Museum receives about 100,000 visitors annually.

The Museum of East Asian Art or MEAA is in Bennett Street, Bath, Somerset, England. Just a few metres off The Circus in central Bath, the Museum of East Asian Art is situated in a restored Georgian house. Its collection includesceramics, jades, bronzes and bamboo carvings and more, from China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. It is the only museum in the United Kingdom dedicated solely to arts and cultures of East and Southeast Asia.It houses a collection of almost 2,000 objects, ranging in date from c.5000 BCE to the present day. The Museum's collection started from the collection of Brian McElney, a retired solicitor who practised in Hong Kong for over 35 years, and has since been expanded.

The Circus is a historic ring of large townhouses in the city of Bath, Somerset, England, forming a circle with three entrances. Designed by architect John Wood, the Elder, it was built between 1754 and 1769, and is regarded as a pre-eminent example of Georgian architecture. The name comes from the Latin circus, meaning a ring, oval or circle. It has been designated as a Grade I listed building.The Circus is divided into three segments of equal length, with a lawn in the centre. Each segment faces one of the three entrances, ensuring a classical façade is always presented straight ahead.

The Museum of Bath at Work is a local history museum in Bath, Somerset, England. The museum was established in 1978 as the Bath Industrial Heritage Trust. Its original collection consisted of a reconstruction of the nineteenth century engineering and mineral water business of Jonathan Burdett Bowler, founded in 1872. When the Bowler firm closed in 1969 its contents were bought by a local businessman with the express intention of founding a museum. Photographs taken of the original business were used to carefully reconstruct the shop, workshops, offices and bottling plant. Over 10,000 bottles and many thousands of documents were also saved. Today, the museum seeks to present the commercial development of Bath over a 2000-year period. In addition to the Bowler collection, other reconstructions include a cabinet maker's workshop and a Bath stone quarry face complete with crane and tools. In 1999 a rare 1914 Horstmann car was acquired, and, in 2003, a comprehensive exhibition on Bath's development, 'Bath at Work: 2000 Years of Earning a Living' opened. A local history display in the Hudson Gallery opened in 2007 and features an ever-changing display of photographs. In 2007 the museum acquired a rare Griffin six-stroke gas engine, that had been in storage in Yeovil, Somerset, after having been moved from London in 2001. It was built in 1885 and for some years was in the Birmingham Museum of Science and Technology. It is one of only two known examples, the other being in the Anson Engine Museum. The museum is housed in the Camden Works building, constructed in 1777 as a court for the indoor game of real tennis.

The Jane Austen Centre at 40 Gay Street in Bath, Somerset, England, is a permanent exhibition which tells the story of Jane Austen's Bath experience, and the effect that visiting and living in the city had on her and her writing. The building is part of a block (31–40 Gay Street) which has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building.Since 2001 it has hosted the annual Jane Austen Festival, the largest and longest running Jane Austen Festival in the world. Events include a Summer Ball and a costumed promenade through the centre of Bath. The Centre also has Regency Tea Rooms.

The Paragon in the Walcot area of Bath, Somerset, England is a street of Georgian houses which have been designated as listed buildings. It was designed by Thomas Warr Attwood. It now forms part of the A4. Numbers 1 to 21 are 3 storey houses with mansard roofs. Each building has matching doors and windows with central pediments and flat entablatures either side of the 1st floor windows and Tuscan pilasters and pediments to the doorways.Numbers 22 to 37 continue the theme from numbers 1 to 21 and were completed in 1775 by Joseph Axford, a local mason. Numbers 28 to 32 were damaged by bombing during World War II but have since been restored.

Milsom Street in Bath, Somerset, England was built in 1762 by Thomas Lightholder. The buildings were originally grand town houses, but most are now used as shops, offices and banks. Most have three storeys with mansard roofs and Corinthian columns. Numbers 2 to 22 are grade II listed. The bank at number 24 was built by Wilson and Willcox and includes baroque detail not seen on the other buildings. Numbers 25 to 36 continue the architectural theme from numbers 2 to 22.Numbers 37 to 42 which are known as Somersetshire Buildings have been designated as Grade II* listed buildings.The Octagon Chapel was a place of worship, then a furniture shop by Mallett Antiques Opened briefly as a restaurant, which has subsequently closed. It is accessed beside number 46.As a fashionable Georgian thoroughfare, Milsom Street is quoted in several of the works of Jane Austen, including Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. In the 2010 Google Street View Best Streets Awards, Milsom Street was voted "Britain's Best Fashion Street" by the 11,000 participants.

Gay Street in Bath, Somerset, England, links Queen Square to The Circus. It was designed by John Wood, the Elder in 1735 and completed by his son John Wood, the Younger. The land was leased to the elder Wood by Robert Gay, MP for Bath, and the street is named after him. Much of the road has been designated as Grade I listed buildings. The houses are of 3 storeys with Mansard roofs, with many also having Ionic columns. There are slight variations in window design but they work together to provide a consistent streetscape. Many of the houses are now used as offices. Numbers 2 to 17 are on the west side. Hester Thrale, who was also known as Mrs Piozzi, lived at number 8, with its 4 Corinthian pilasters on the ground and 1st floors in 1781. Number 18 to 30 are on the east side of the road. It was built before the west side.Number 41 is on the corner between Gay Street and Queen Square. It was the home of John Wood, the Younger.Numbers 31 to 40 have been designated as Grade II. The Jane Austen Centre is at number 40, although Jane Austen actually lived at number 25.

Old King Edward's School is a former school building in Bath, Somerset, England. Standing on Broad Street, near its junction with Saracen Street, the building was built in 1752, the work of Thomas Jelly. It is now a Grade II* listed building, having been added in 1950. It was King Edward's School from 1752 to 1990, after the school moved from the nave of the disused Church of St Mary's Northgate, where it had been for almost 200 years. In 1990, after just under 250 years, the junior school followed the secondary school's relocation to a new site on North Road at the southeastern edge of the city around 25 years earlier. In 1997, an application to turn the building into a public house by Samuel Smith Old Brewery was refused, although it still owns the property. A scheme for use as a hotel has also been withdrawn. The building remains on the Heritage at Risk Register, but work to repair the roof has reduced the risk to the property. Proposals to use it as a temporary shelter for the homeless were rejected in 2018, by the brewery, claiming that work would be "commencing very soon". As of 2024, it remains vacant.

Mr B's Emporium of Reading Delights is an independent bookshop in Bath, Somerset. It was founded by former lawyer and derivatives trader Nic Bottomley. In 2009, it was the official bookseller of the Bath Literary Festival. In 2011, it won the Bookseller's Award for Independent Bookshop of the Year, which it had won previously in 2008.The shop has a resident band which play at author signings and other events.
