Seven Oaks General Hospital (SOGH) is a community hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It was founded in 1981 by community leaders and approved by the province of Manitoba to serve the needs of the northern part of Winnipeg and surrounding area. Seven Oaks is also a hub for kidney health services, a centre for general surgery and orthopedic surgery, and has a large commitment to family medicine, both in terms of in-patient medical care, but also as a centre for the training of medical residents and the home of a new private medical clinic. The hospital also offers aboriginal health services, an access to care clinic, an intensive care unit, lab and diagnostic services, a library, an oncology clinic, as well as mental health and spiritual care. Following closures of the Emergency Room and ICU units, the SOGH lost 100 beds from 2019-2022 and now serves the community with 208 beds.SOGH is adjoined by the Wellness Institute, a fitness center that includes programs for youth and adults for rehabilitation and health maintenance.

The Seven Oaks Sportsplex is an indoor ice hockey and soccer complex in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The complex consists of the Seven Oaks Arena and the Seven Oaks Soccer Complex (formerly Garden City Soccer Complex). It is located on the grounds of the Garden City Community Centre, immediately east of the Garden City Shopping Centre, in the Garden City area.

Seven Oaks School Division (SOSD, or colloquially 7 Oaks) is a school division in the north-west area of Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. Established in July 1959, it takes in the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of West Kildonan, Garden City, the Maples, Riverbend, and Amber Trails, as well as the Rural Municipality of West St. Paul.

The area features large homes and residential lots, numerous parks and schools, and includes Garden City Shopping Centre, a regional mall. It has a land area of 2.32-square-kilometre (570-acre), with the population growing to 6,255 as of 2016. The garden themes are continued throughout the development, with many floral inspired street names including Buttercup Avenue, Daffodil Street and Tulip Road. The suburb is in the civic council ward of Old Kildonan, the community area of Seven Oaks, the provincial riding of McPhillips, and the federal riding of Kildonan—St. Paul.

Garden City Collegiate (GCC or GC) is a high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is part of the Seven Oaks School Division, and houses grades 9–12. The Garden City motto is "Participation and Excellence." Garden City Collegiate offers two programs: the English Diploma and the French Immersion Diploma. Garden City is the only high school in Seven Oaks School Division that offers both programs to all students. It’s academic, volunteering, performing arts and athletics programs are highlights for student learning. In 2009 the school joined its 2 formerly separate buildings (the east building) formerly being Jefferson Junior High School. It has also had a new large Commons area and gymnasium built to house a cafeteria, larger school and athletic events.

Shaarey Zedek Cemetery is a Conservative Jewish burial ground in the North End of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Operated by the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, it is the largest Jewish cemetery in the Canadian Prairies, with more than 8,000 graves as of 1996. In 2012, a Jewish interfaith burial ground was installed in a fenced-off section with a separate entrance to accommodate interment of Jews alongside their non-Jewish spouses. The cemetery features a war memorial honouring Winnipeg residents who fell in World War I and World War II.

The Maples is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The riding was created by redistribution in 1989, has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba since the provincial election of 1990. It is located in the north end of Winnipeg. The riding is bordered by Kildonan to the east, Inkster to the west, Burrows to the south and Gimli to the north. The riding's population in 1996 was 19,234. The average family income in 1999 was $45,853, with an unemployment rate of 9.30%. 25% of the riding's residents are categorized as low-income. The Maples has the second-highest immigrant population in Manitoba, at 32.6% of the total. Its ethnic base is diverse; 12% of the riding's residents are Filipino, 8% are Ukrainian, 7% are East Indian, 3% are Italian, and a further 3% are Chinese. Manufacturing jobs accounted for 20% of the riding's industry in 1999.

St. Johns is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 1957, and has formally existed since 1958. It is located in the north-end of Winnipeg. The constituency is bordered by Kildonan to the north and west, Burrows to the west, Elmwood to the east, and Point Douglas to the south. The riding's population in 1996 was 20,023. The average family income in 1999 was $40,443, with an unemployment rate of 10.90%. Over 35% of the riding's residents are categorized as low-income. St. Johns has a diverse population. Ten per cent of the riding's residents listed Ukrainian as their ethnic origin in 1999, with a further 6% Polish and 5% Jewish. Twelve per cent of the riding's residents are aboriginal. Manufacturing jobs accounted for 18% of the riding's industry, with a further 15% in services. Since its creation, St. Johns has been represented by members of the Manitoba Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and its successor, the New Democratic Party (NDP). It is considered safe for the party. The current MLA is Nahanni Fontaine, who was elected in the Manitoba general election, 2016.

Seven Oaks is a former provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created in 1956, and eliminated in 1989. The riding was located in north-end Winnipeg, and was a safe seat for the Cooperative Commonwealth Federation and New Democratic Party for most of its history.

The Battle of Seven Oaks was a violent confrontation in the Pemmican War between the Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) and the North West Company (NWC), rivals in the fur trade, that took place on 19 June 1816, the climax of a long dispute in western Canada. The Métis people fought for the North West Company, and they called it "the Victory of Frog Plain" (la Victoire de la Grenouillère).
