Garden City Collegiate (GCC or GC) is a high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is part of the Seven Oaks School Division, and houses grades 9–12. The Garden City motto is "Participation and Excellence." Garden City Collegiate offers two programs: the English Diploma and the French Immersion Diploma. Garden City is the only high school in Seven Oaks School Division that offers both programs to all students. It’s academic, volunteering, performing arts and athletics programs are highlights for student learning. In 2009 the school joined its 2 formerly separate buildings (the east building) formerly being Jefferson Junior High School. It has also had a new large Commons area and gymnasium built to house a cafeteria, larger school and athletic events.

Seven Oaks School Division (SOSD, or colloquially 7 Oaks) is a school division in the north-west area of Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. Established in July 1959, it takes in the Winnipeg neighbourhoods of West Kildonan, Garden City, the Maples, Riverbend, and Amber Trails, as well as the Rural Municipality of West St. Paul.

The complex consists of the Seven Oaks Arena and the Seven Oaks Soccer Complex (formerly Garden City Soccer Complex). It is located on the grounds of the Garden City Community Centre, immediately east of the Garden City Shopping Centre, in the Garden City area.

Built in 1970, it was opened on August 12 that year.With an area of 379,681 sq ft (35,273.5 m2), the mall consists of 70 stores and 10 restaurants on a single level. Anchor stores include Canadian Tire, Winners and GoodLife Fitness.The shopping centre is owned and managed by RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust.

Seven Oaks General Hospital (SOGH) is a community hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It was founded in 1981 by community leaders and approved by the province of Manitoba to serve the needs of the northern part of Winnipeg and surrounding area. Seven Oaks is also a hub for kidney health services, a centre for general surgery and orthopedic surgery, and has a large commitment to family medicine, both in terms of in-patient medical care, but also as a centre for the training of medical residents and the home of a new private medical clinic. The hospital also offers aboriginal health services, an access to care clinic, an intensive care unit, lab and diagnostic services, a library, an oncology clinic, as well as mental health and spiritual care. Following closures of the Emergency Room and ICU units, the SOGH lost 100 beds from 2019-2022 and now serves the community with 208 beds.SOGH is adjoined by the Wellness Institute, a fitness center that includes programs for youth and adults for rehabilitation and health maintenance.

The Fort Garry Horse Museum & Archives is a regimental museum in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada that displays the history of The Fort Garry Horse, a regiment of the Canadian Forces Army, from its origin to the present through use of artefacts, photographs and archival material. Located in the LCol Harcus Strachan, VC, MC Armoury(formerly named McGregor Armoury), the museum's exhibits include uniforms, weapons, military artefacts and photographs, as well as some military vehicles outdoors. The museum preserves the history of the regiment through the collection of documents, pictures, books, military artefacts, etc., pertaining to the Regiment. The museum preserves the history of Cavalry in Manitoba through the collection of documents, pictures, books, military artefacts, etc. It provides a training facility for the teaching of Regimental history. The museum's goal is to stimulate and foster within the general public an ongoing interest in the Regiment and its activities and accomplishments.

St. Johns is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 1957, and has formally existed since 1958. It is located in the north-end of Winnipeg. The constituency is bordered by Kildonan to the north and west, Burrows to the west, Elmwood to the east, and Point Douglas to the south. The riding's population in 1996 was 20,023. The average family income in 1999 was $40,443, with an unemployment rate of 10.90%. Over 35% of the riding's residents are categorized as low-income. St. Johns has a diverse population. Ten per cent of the riding's residents listed Ukrainian as their ethnic origin in 1999, with a further 6% Polish and 5% Jewish. Twelve per cent of the riding's residents are aboriginal. Manufacturing jobs accounted for 18% of the riding's industry, with a further 15% in services. Since its creation, St. Johns has been represented by members of the Manitoba Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and its successor, the New Democratic Party (NDP). It is considered safe for the party. The current MLA is Nahanni Fontaine, who was elected in the Manitoba general election, 2016.

The riding was created by redistribution in 1989, has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba since the provincial election of 1990. It is located in the north end of Winnipeg. The riding is bordered by Kildonan to the east, Inkster to the west, Burrows to the south and Gimli to the north. The riding's population in 1996 was 19,234. The average family income in 1999 was $45,853, with an unemployment rate of 9.30%. 25% of the riding's residents are categorized as low-income. The Maples has the second-highest immigrant population in Manitoba, at 32.6% of the total. Its ethnic base is diverse; 12% of the riding's residents are Filipino, 8% are Ukrainian, 7% are East Indian, 3% are Italian, and a further 3% are Chinese. Manufacturing jobs accounted for 20% of the riding's industry in 1999.

The Ukrainian Labour Temple is a hall and cultural centre in the north end of Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is run by the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians and is located at 591 Pritchard Avenue.The labour temple is one of the few left in a once large network of such halls and is one of the largest and oldest of its kind. The building was constructed from 1918–19 using volunteer labour. The building was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2009.

The Ivan Franko Museum is a museum dedicated to Ukrainian writer and poet Ivan Franko (1856–1916) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.The museum operates primarily through the efforts of volunteers and relies on the support of people for its financial support. Entrance to the museum has always been free.

The Olympic Rink was an indoor ice hockey arena in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It was located at the corner of Church Avenue and Charles Street in the North End neighbourhood. The site of the former rink was later occupied by the Olympic Towers apartments.
