White Oak East was a census-designated place (CDP) in Hamilton County, Ohio in the United States. The population was 3,508 at the 2000 census. As of the 2010 census it had been merged into the larger White Oak CDP.

The Old Gothic Barns were a pair of historic agricultural buildings near the city of Cincinnati in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. Built in the second quarter of the nineteenth century, they were designated a historic site in the 1970s because of their distinctive architecture. As one of Green Township's first settlers, farmer William Bell was able to amass a large estate; by the 1840s, he owned much land along present-day Colerain Avenue. Near the end of his life, he arranged for the construction of two barns in the Carpenter Gothic style. His choice of architectural style was highly unusual; Gothic Revival elements as found on these two barns are unknown at any other farm in southwestern Ohio. Both were built with an extremely vertical emphasis: a sharply pitched roof increased their height, and the impression of verticality was reinforced by elements such as vertical batten, a cupola with a spire, and the tall pointed windows and doors. These windows and doors, along with other elements such as brackets under the eaves, gave the barns an unusually pure Gothic Revival feel. Two stories tall with an attic, the barns featured shingled roofs.A precise date for the barns' construction has been debated. Research has strongly suggested that the barns were constructed before Bell's death in 1847, it has been proven that he arranged for their construction, and they were clearly built after 1840 and before 1850, but no other details are known. Despite the lack of detailed information about their construction, the barns were clearly seen as architecturally significant by the 1970s. In 1976, they were recognized by their placement on the National Register of Historic Places; their architecture had been deemed to be important on a statewide level. However, the barns were no longer standing by the early 2010s; restaurants occupied their former location at 6058 Colerain Avenue.

Monfort Heights East was a census-designated place (CDP) in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,880 at the 2000 census. For the 2010 census the area was merged into the new Monfort Heights CDP.

Pinecroft, also known as the Powel Crosley Jr. Estate is located at 2366 Kipling Avenue in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. It is significant both as a Tudor Revival estate designed by Dwight James Baum, and for its association with the life of Powel Crosley Jr. (1886–1961), builder of the Crosley car and owner of the Cincinnati Reds. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 17, 2008.It is the 25th property listed as a featured property of the week in a program of the National Park Service that began in July, 2008.

Monfort Heights is a census-designated place (CDP) in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States, part of the Cincinnati–Northern Kentucky metropolitan area. The population of Monfort Heights was 12,070 at the 2020 census. In previous censuses, the area was listed as two separate CDPs, Monfort Heights East and Monfort Heights South.

White Oak is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. It is seven miles northwest of Cincinnati. The population was 19,541 at the 2020 census. White Oak is situated in both Green Township and Colerain Township.

Mt. Airy Arboretum, 120 acres (0.49 km2), is an arboretum set within Mt. Airy Forest (1,470 acres), a public park located at 5083 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio. It is open daily without charge. The arboretum began in 1911 when the Cincinnati Park Board purchased 168 acres (0.7 km2) of land for reforestation and conservation. It has since expanded to 1,469.913 acres (5.95 km2), of which 700 acres (2.8 km2) are reforested in hardwoods, 200 acres (0.8 km2) reforested in evergreens, 269 acres (1.1 km2) in native woodland, 170 acres (0.7 km2) of open meadows, and 120 acres (0.5 km2) operated as an arboretum proper. The arboretum includes more than 5,000 plants representing 1,600 species and varieties of woody plants. It contains one of the finest dwarf conifer collection in the Midwest, set around a 1-acre (4,000 m2) pond. Other collections include ash, azalea, birch, beech, buckeye, cherry, crabapple, deutzia, dogwood, elm, euonymus, fir, hawthorn, hemlock, juniper, lilac, magnolia, maple, oak, poplar, spruce, viburnum, willow, and yew.

White Oak West was a census-designated place (CDP) in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,932 at the 2000 census. As of the 2010 census it had been merged into the larger White Oak CDP.

The Mount Airy Forest, in Cincinnati, Ohio, was established in 1911. It was one of the earliest, if not the first, urban reforestation project in the United States. With nearly 1,500 acres (6.1 km2), it's the largest park in Cincinnati's park system.

The Ohio Military Institute was a higher education institution located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1890, it closed in 1958.
