James Shipstone & Sons was a brewery in New Basford, Nottingham, England, that opened in 1852 and closed in 1991.

New Basford railway station was a station in Nottingham on the Great Central Railway main line, the last main line to be built from the north of England to London. The station opened with the line on 15 March 1899.

The Sumac Centre is a self-managed social centre in Nottingham, UK. It provides resources, meeting spaces and workshops for groups and individuals, and supports campaigning for human rights, animal rights, the environment, and peace. It is part of the UK Social Centre Network and the radical catering group Veggies is based at the centre. It receives no regular funding, the core groups each pay rent that goes toward the mortgage and running costs. Some of the groups are run by volunteers. Its origins can to traced to the Rainbow Centre, which was established in 1984.

Nottingham Free School is a co-educational free school which serves the areas of Sherwood, Carrington, Mapperley Park, Woodthorpe and Mapperley. The school is located in a former factory —the Courtaulds building— on Haydn Road and first opened in September 2014 with an intake of seventy-nine Year 7 students, a number which has grown to nearly 600 pupils ranging from Year 7 to Year 13. In August 2019, the first group of students to join the school received their GCSE results.

Forest Fields is an inner-city area of the City of Nottingham, in the county of Nottinghamshire, England.

Wilkinson Street is a tram stop on Nottingham Express Transit (NET), in the city of Nottingham suburb of Basford. The tram stop opened on 9 March 2004, along with NET's initial system. It is one of several park and ride stops on the NET network, with more than 600 car parking spaces located next to the stop. NET's Wilkinson Street depot is also adjacent to the stop, and provides storage and maintenance facilities for all the system's trams, having been expanded to cope with the additional trams ordered for phase two. The depot also contains NET's offices, staff facilities and control room.The tram stop is located on reserved track alongside Wilkinson Street and has two side platforms flanking a pair of tracks. To the west, the tracks cross over the Robin Hood railway line on a bridge shared with Wilkinson Street, and then curve and descend to run parallel with the railway to Basford stop. To the east of the stop, there is a triangular junction that gives access to the depot, and the two tracks then cross each other and run separately in two different street alignments. Old Basford is an area of Nottingham located next to New Basford being split by Valley Road/Western Boulevard. The parish church of St Leodegarius was built in the 12th century. The north aisle and north arcade were rebuilt in 1858–59 and the church restored, except for the tower. The church tower collapsed in 1859 and was rebuilt in 1859–61. Near the church is the Manor House of c. 1700.
