Menominee County Courthouse

Menominee ( mə-NAH-mə-nee) is a city in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,488 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Menominee County. Menominee is the fourth-largest city in the Upper Peninsula, behind Marquette, Sault Ste. Marie, and Escanaba. Menominee Township is located to the north of the city, but is politically autonomous. Menominee is part of the Marinette, WI–MI micropolitan statistical area.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, now used as the Menominee County Historical Museum, is a historic church at 904 11th Avenue in Menominee, Michigan. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1981.

The Charles G. Janson Garage is a commercial structure located at 524 Tenth Avenue in Menominee, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

WAGN (1340 AM) is a radio station licensed to Menominee, Michigan broadcasting an oldies and talk format. Formerly an affiliate of ABC Radio's OldiesRadio network, the web site dx-midAMerica reported in January 2008 that the station had dropped Oldies Radio in favor of local voicetracking with the new moniker "1340 Gold" (1). Prior to affiliating with Oldies Radio, WAGN had programmed Adult Standards as an affiliate of the Westwood One/Dial Global America's Best Music network. In late December 2008, WAGN began to simulcast its oldies format on its FM sister WHYB 103.7 FM (formerly an adult contemporary-formatted station). WAGN will launch a News/Talk format featuring hosts such as Dave Ramsey, Rush Limbaugh, and Laura Ingraham on January 5, 2009, while the Oldies format will move permanently to 103.7 FM. (1)

Alvin Clark was a schooner that sailed the Great Lakes for almost two decades. Constructed in 1846 or 1847, it sank during a storm in Green Bay in 1864. It was salvaged in 1969 and moored in Menominee, Michigan, at the Mystery Ship Seaport, located in the Menominee River at the foot of Sixth Avenue. The ship was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1972 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974; Alvin Clark was removed from the National Register of Historic Places on June 10, 2020. Although the schooner was in pristine condition when raised, no plans were in place for its conservation, and the ship rapidly deteriorated. The remains of Alvin Clark were destroyed in 1994.

Spies Public Library is a public library in Menominee, Michigan. It was built in 1903 and was funded by Agustus Spies.

The First Street Historic District, also known as the Main Street Historic District, is a commercial historic district in Menominee, Michigan containing over 40 structures spread over a 29 acres (12 ha) area. The district is roughly bounded by Fourth Avenue, the north side of Tenth Avenue, Second Street, and the Green Bay Shoreline; the boundaries are approximately equivalent to what is locally known as the Historic Waterfront Downtown. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1974.

Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) is an American shipbuilding firm in Marinette, Wisconsin. Marinette Marine was a subsidiary of Manitowoc Marine Group of Wisconsin from 2000 to 2009, when it was sold to Fincantieri Marine Group.

Built in 1902, the Menominee Opera House (later known as Menominee Theatre) resides in the Historic Waterfront District of downtown Menominee, Michigan. It was designed by well-known American architect George O. Garnsey, whose other designs include the Ogle County Courthouse in Oregon, Illinois and Queen Anne style homes such as the Ellwood House in DeKalb, Illinois.

The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Station, also known as the Milwaukee Road Depot is a railroad depot located at 219 West Fourth Avenue in Menominee, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1977.

WMAM (570 AM) is a class D radio station in Marinette, Wisconsin, serving the Marinette/Menominee, Michigan area. It operates omnidirectionally with a daytime power of 250 watts and a reduced nighttime power of 100 watts. Although presently classified as a Class D station, this station was originally classified as a "Class C [Class IV; Local] station 'grandfathered' as operating on a Class B [Class III; Regional] channel" one of only two such stations in the U.S. Official FCC license note: "CLASS IV ON REGIONAL CHANNEL; SEE §73.29" WMAM currently carries ESPN Radio.

The Interstate Bridge between Marinette, Wisconsin and Menominee, Michigan carries U.S. Highway 41 (US 41) over the Menominee River. The current bridge was completed in November 2005 and replaced the previous span built in 1929.
